Unit 1 Li Ming Goes to Canada

Lesson 1 At the Airport

本课为本学期第一课,要求学生能够模仿课文对话,并能熟练表达相互问候的日常用语;掌握一定的语言技巧的能力,练习该如何提问与回答时间What time is it now?;让孩子们整体把握见面时的交流方式与用语规范。

1.使学生能够听懂、会说、认读单词:airport, time, clock.

2.使学生能够认读、理解并运用句子:What time is it now? It’s half past four.

3.使学生能够养成珍惜时间的好习惯。

通过活动培养学生能够正确运用所学习的词汇和句子。

Step 1. Warming-up

The greeting between teacher and students:Hello,boys and girls. Happy to see you. Are you ready

to learn English again? Let’s begin!

Playing the music “Ten Little Fingers” for students(provided in materials),then play the game

“count the numbers” (拍数游戏) with students to review how to say 1 to 100.

(Design thinking: to break the ice to learn the lesson in this way.)

Step 2. Topic introducing

1. Show the pictures.

T: What’s this?

(Design thinking:showing the photos of airport and airplane, lead students to discuss the reason

why they take planes and what are them going to do in airport. Tell students that we will learn that

Li Ming is going to Canada and his friends will pick him up in this lesson.)

Step 3. Presentation

1. PPT4-PPT14 is the first part of book.

(1) show the students PPT4,lead them to read several times until they can read skillfully.

Ask the question:Where does Li Ming live?

When does Li Ming arrive?

How long will Li Ming be in Canada?

When will Li Ming go home?

(Design thinking: teach students by questions and answers, which will improve the ability of

reading.)

(2) show the students PPT5-14,explain the knowledge points in turn.

(Design thinking: explain the knowledge points in turn and divide the whole sentence structure

into several parts. Link to example sentences and examples to promote the grasp new knowledge

points.)

When explaining the knowledge points, the teacher can ask students to stand up to give some

examples.
