本模块以学校为话题,它以第一单元教室内部格局介绍为基础,进一步介绍了学校各建筑的格局及方位,并且为第三单元熟练运用语言提供了话题和语境,同时也为学生们后来的学习扫清语言和文化的障碍。
第二单元的课文根据一张学校的平面图向读者介绍学校。
作者首先介绍了从大门进来看到的位于校园中心的运动场,然后从左侧开始顺时针的方向介绍了学校内的各个建筑物。
为保证文章的流畅性,作者使用了大量的方位介词和部分倒装句,这对学生了解文章作者的空间思维方式,丰富自己的思维方式有很大的帮助。
本单元的重难点是there be句型和方位介词的合理运用。

一、阅读教学应该帮助学生养成良好的阅读习惯和形成有效的阅读策略,也应该注重课内外相结合。
本课通过整体快读完成平面图的补充,再次细读,回答问题,加深对文章的理解。
最后对文章进一步进行提炼和归纳,同时借助于平面图,帮助学生对本文形成清晰的线索和思路,为学生下一步的写作打下基础。
课后,要求学生同等难度相关话题的文章,拓展的课外阅读量。
二、小组合作模式,激发了学生的学习兴趣,扩大了课堂参与面,从而提高了课堂效率。
教师在分组过程中,兼顾好中差各层次,各组展开相对公平的竞争,同时给他们积极讨论的平台,在评价环节,给予学生们恰当的奖励,都会提高学生们参与的热情。
英语学科,极易造成两极分化,学生间的监督与合作,以好带差,可以减少个别学困生的继续下滑。
