It is difficult for any of us in moments of intense aesthetic experience to resist the suggestion that we are catching a glimpse of a light that shines down to us from a different realm of existence, different and, because the experience is intensely moving, in some way higher. And, though the gleams blind and dazzle, yet they do convey a hint of beauty and serenity greater than we have known or imagined. Greater too than we can describe, for language, which was invented to convey the meanings of this world, cannot readily be fitted to the uses of another.
MythreepassionsMy three passionsThere are three passions in my life, the pursuit of dreams, the curiosity about nature, and the deep love of reading. They influence me and make my whole life. When I was a child, I used to have many dreams. They were like a flame burning fiercely in the dark, also burned me. At that time, I was a young and ignorant girl who did n’t know too much. I just felt dream was good. Then I gradually grow up, I began to know the sanctity of dreams. Without dreams, one is like a lifeless body. People know dreams, have dreams and try to achieve it. For me, dream is like a belief which support me to go all the way. When I feel upset or when I want to give up, it will give me supporting. Dreams make me more confident. It’s the most important in my life. Then I have strong curiosity about nature. Since I was born, I have thought much about nature. I want to find out many things and I ’m interested in all around us. I would love to read some books and watch some movies about it. This curiosity urge me to know more about the world .The love of reading, which is a important part of my life, affects me deeply. When I read, I would feel that I’m talking to people from all overthe world. I can know more and when reading, I may feel quiet . I can communicate with my heart and I can face myself directly. At the same time, reading can make people wiser. I read to improve myself. The three passions has been my life, I live for them and gain power from them. I feel good every day because of them.。
ThreepassionsinmylifeThree passions in my lifeThree passions, indispensable and wisely necessary, have ruled my life: the supporting from my family, the longing for reading, and the hope for the future. These passions, like a shiny star, have guided me through the most darkness of my life, have shown me the most fantastic starry night, and have touched me right here in my heart.First, I have sought support, because it helps me stand up. Being an outstanding person is not easy without the support from family as I suppose, because firstly as a green plant requires land with nutrition so that she can grow well, the family that supports me is exactly like the land with nutrition, the air with oxygen, the sun with warmth and energy. I have sought it, next, because it makes me feel loved and diminish my loneliness and my fear of the strange world. Whenever I feel scared and find nowhere to go, it's my family that holds me warm and being strong. I have sought it, last but not least, because in the deep field of my mind, I feel my family and I are associated. I would never say no to love my family back and support them when they need me or I will feel lose of something in the deep side of my heart.Second, with the support of my family, I feel like I have a boat to sail in an unknown sea and look for the saint in the world. I have wished to find a saint so that I can sit next to him, talk to him, and feel the joyful spirit in the universe. I do find a Saint, but not just one. They sometimes swim in the sea, sometimes walk on the earth and sometimes fly in the sky. When they swim in the sea, I can chase them to the end of the world and experience themost breathtaking things in the sea like Hemingway. When they walk on the earth, I can follow them to the highest mountain in the world like Jon Krakauer. When they fly in the sky, I can watch them how to light the stars for people like Edison. Saints are intensely close to us when you feel the joyfulness for reading. When it comes to reading, it's not just about reading books but about watching people, going back to nature and appreciating the truth in the universe. Through reading, I have reached for the most attractive and implicational star.Last but not least, so far as support and reading is essential, it stimulates me to have a better understanding of the world. Nonetheless the hope of the future is leading me to a better world of my own self. Distinction, confidence and determination are essential to the hope for the future. Facing obstacles ahead of me, I won’t never flee in panic. Without the hope for the future, I can't find the happiness of being alive. Just as the sunflower believes the sun will rise up tomorrow, so do I have the hope for the future. This has been part of my life and will be the rest of my life. I have found it worth trying experiencing the world, and would definitely try it harder to live better if I have cognized better about my life.。

作者以sharp的感悟和acute的目光,分析了人生中的三种激情,即对爱的渴望,对知识的追求和对人类苦难的同情(the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind)。
