Sanya is the second largest city of Hainan which it’s the largest special economic zone in China. Sanya, the capital city and the hub of transportation and communication of Southern Hainan, an important foreign trade port perching on the golden coastline of southeastern China. Besides, it is the true southern gateway of China and a new international tropical coastal city of tourism under construction. Sanya, with a population of 685,400 (permanent population), is a place where over 20 ethnic groups like Han, Li, Miao, Hui reside. All nationalities are industrious and wise, and good at sing and dancing. Those people create a long and profound history of culture and arts. A great number of domestic and foreign tourists are attracted by and pay a visit for diversified local customs and rich ethnic arts.Sanya, with a long and profound history dating back to ancient times, was once called Yazhou (literally means cliff state).
