我的五一假期英语作文现在进行时全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome May Day Holiday (So Far!)Hi there! I'm so excited to tell you all about my May Day holiday this year. It's been amazing so far and there's still a few days left! I'm having the best time ever.It all started on April 29th when we got out of school for our two-week break. My mom and dad had promised to take me and my little sister somewhere really fun and special this year since we had such a long holiday. I was sooooo excited waiting for that last day of school. I could barely sit still in class! When the final bell rang, I raced out to meet my parents with my backpack bouncing behind me. They had these big smiles on their faces when I reached them. "Guess where we're going?!" my dad said with a wink. I started shouting out all the places I could think of - the beach, the mountains, the city? But they just laughed and told me I'd have to wait to find out. So annoying! I whined the whole drive home trying to get them to spill the beans. Finally, we pulled into our driveway and my mom turned around with a big grin. "We're going to Zhangjiajie!" she exclaimed. My jaw dropped. The amazing rock pillars and mountains?? That place looks like something straight out of a fantasy movie! I couldn't believe we were really going. My little sister starting jumping up and down cheering in her car seat. We were all so thrilled. The next couple days were a blur of packing and getting ready. My parents made sure we all had good hiking shoes, sun hats, water bottles, you name it. We even got these really cool hiking backpacks! I was barely able to sleep the night before from excitement and anticipation. Finally the morning came and we hit the road bright and early. The drive took forever, or at least it felt like it. My sister and I must have asked "Are we there yet??" about a million times. But when we finally arrived and stepped out of the car, it was all worth it. The views were just breathtaking. Towering pillars of stone and rock seeming to pierce the clouds above. Lush forests and winding rivers all around us. I'd never seen anything quite like it.We dropped our bags at the hotel and immediately headed out to start exploring. That first day we took a cable carup to oneof the highest peaks. The ride alone was an adventure, slowly climbing up and up through the misty mountains. When we reached the top my head was dizzy from the height! But the views in every direction were just spectacular. We could see for miles and miles of unbelievable scenery. The next few days were a whirlwind of hiking trails, scenic overlooks, duck boats on the rivers, and just taking it all in. Each spot seemed even more incredible than the last. We walked along cliffs with drops that seemed to go on forever. We climbed up rocky paths to caves and hidden grottos. We took endless photos and videos, though none of them ever quite did it justice compared to seeing it with your own eyes. One of the coolest things was getting to go on the world's highest outdoor elevator on one of the rock pillars. It travels up the side of this huge stone monolith and when you step out at the top, you're instantly hit with this insane view. The ground seems so impossibly far below you and you're surrounded by more pillars and peaks poking through the clouds. I got a bit of vertigo to be honest! But my dad said I was being brave and we all had a great time up there. We took a break one day to just relax at our hotel too. They had this awesome water park attached that we spent prettymuch the whole day at. My sister and I went down the water slides about a million times, we were like prunes by the end of it! The wave pool and lazy river were pretty great too. It was nice to just chill after all our intense hiking and adventuring. As I'm writing this, we still have three more days left of our holiday and more exploring to do in Zhangjiajie. I honestly don't want it to end! This place is like something out of a dream. The scenery still takes my breath away every single day. Part of me wants to just live here forever surrounded by these incredible rock formations. My parents keep joking that they're going to have to literally drag me and my sister into the car when it's time to head home. I really don't want to leave! I wish holidays like this could just last forever. No school, no homework, just nonstop adventures and new sights around every corner. This has been the best May Day trip I could have ever imagined.Who knows, maybe my parents will let us come back again next year? Or maybe they'll take us somewhere entirely new and different that's just as awesome? I'm just feeling so grateful to have a family that makes an effort to go on these amazing adventures together and create memories like this. Memories I know I'll never forget. No matter what though, this May Day holiday is definitely going to be one for the books. I'll look back at the photos and videos for years and reminisce about the time we spent exploring the unbelievable scenery and mythical rock pillars of Zhangjiajie. About how tiny I felt standing underneath those towering stones that seemed to endlessly pierce the clouds. About all the hikes, vistas, thrills and spills. It's been such an incredibly memorable and special experience.I can't wait to see what other adventures are still in store for us over篇2My Exciting May Day HolidayIt's the May Day holiday and I'm so excited! School is out for a whole week and I have lots of fun plans. My parents are taking some time off work too so we can go on a little trip and do all sorts of activities together as a family.Right now I'm packing my suitcase, making sure I have all the things I'll need for our adventure. I'm putting in my favorite t-shirts, shorts, swimsuit, and sneakers. I can't forget to bring some books and games for the car ride too! We're leaving first thing tomorrow morning.Where are we going, you ask? We're driving to a resort by the beach! I can't wait to feel the warm sand between my toes and splash around in the ocean waves. The resort has several big swimming pools too. My friend Johnny went there last year and he said the pools were amazing, with waterfalls, slides, and even a lazy river! I'm definitely going to spend a lot of time in the water. But that's not all we have planned for this vacation. One day, we're going to visit a famous amusement park near the resort. It has all the coolest roller coasters and thrill rides. I'm a little nervous about the really big, fast coasters, but I know I'll be brave and go on them. After the rides, we can play games and win prizes at the arcade and fun fair. I hope I can knock down enough milk bottles to bring home a giant stuffed animal!Another day, we're taking a tour of some ancient ruins from an old civilization that used to live in the area hundreds of years ago. I just learned about them in history class and I think it will be amazing to see the real ruins up close instead of just pictures in a textbook. I'll get to be like a real archaeologist or explorer for a day!On our way home at the end of the trip, we're going to stop at a ranch and go horseback riding through some pretty trails inthe countryside. I had my first horseback riding lesson a few months ago and I loved it. The horses are such beautiful, gentle creatures and it's so fun to ride them outside in nature instead of just being cooped up in a ring. I can't wait to take in the fresh air and scenery on the ranch. But what if it rains during our vacation, you might wonder? Well, we have a plan for that too! My parents booked an awesome indoor waterpark at the resort, with huge waterslides, a wave pool, and a recreation of a rushing river you can float along. There are also video games, mini golf, bumper cars, and all kinds of other fun stuff to do inside if the weather isn't nice for being outdoors. Rain or shine, we are going to have an absolute blast! When we get back home after the holiday, I'll probably be exhausted from all the traveling and activities. But I know I'll also be refreshed from the change of scenery and quality time spent together as a family, making wonderful new memories. I'll get to go back to school with tons of stories to tell my friends about my amazing May Day adventures. I can't wait for it all to start happening already! This holiday is going to be so much fun.篇3My May Day Holiday Fun!Yay! It's finally May Day holiday and I'm so excited! I love this long break from school because it means I get to sleep in late, play all day, and go on fun adventures.Right now, I'm laying in my cozy bed listening to the birds chirping outside my window. The sun is shining brightly and I can't wait to get up and start my day. My mom is probably already in the kitchen cooking up a big breakfast for me. I can almost smell the pancakes and sizzling bacon from here! After I eat, I'm going to get dressed in my favorite outfit - my Spiderman t-shirt, ripped jeans, and red sneakers. Then I'll grab my backpack and basketball and head outside to play. The neighborhood park is right around the corner from my house. That's where all my friends and I are meeting up to have apick-up basketball game."Over here! Pass it to me!" I yell as I dribble down the court, dodging the other players trying to steal the ball. Swish! I make the perfect shot and my team cheers. Playing basketball is so much fun, but running around is making me hot篇4My May Day Holiday (Present Tense)Yay! It's finally the May Day holiday! I'm so excited because I get to spend two whole weeks without going to school. No more waking up early, no more homework, and no more listening to the teachers droning on and on. It's going to be the best holiday ever!Right now, I'm helping my mom clean up the house. She's making me dust all the shelves and vacuum the floors. I don't really like doing chores, but she says if I help out, she'll let me play more video games later. Fair deal, I guess! After we finish cleaning, we're going to my grandparents' house for a big family dinner. My cousins will be there too, and we always have so much fun together. We love playinghide-and-seek in my grandparents' huge backyard. It's like a jungle out there with all the trees and bushes. Perfect for hiding!Tomorrow, we're going on a road trip! My dad is packing up the car right now with our suitcases, snacks, and everything we'll need for the trip. We're driving all the way to the beach, which is a few hours away. I can't wait to build sandcastles, splash in the waves, and maybe even learn how to surf! The day after that, we're visiting a theme park. I'm most excited about going on the roller coasters. I love the feeling of my stomach dropping as the coaster zooms down the steep hills. My little sister is too scared to go on the big rides, but she likes the merry-go-round and the Ferris wheel. In the middle of the holiday, we're having a big party at our house. My parents are inviting all our friends and neighbors over for a barbecue. My dad is the grill master, and he's going to be cooking up burgers, hot dogs, and maybe even some kebabs. My mom is making her famous potato salad and baked beans. I'm in charge of decorating the backyard with streamers and balloons. One day, we're going to the movies to see the new superhero film that just came out. I love superhero movies because of all the action and cool superpowers. I'm definitely going to get a huge tub of popcorn and a giant slushie to enjoy during the movie.Another day, we're going to the science museum downtown. They have this awesome exhibit about dinosaurs right now, and I'm really looking forward to seeing all the fossils and skeletons. Maybe I'll even get to dig for fossils myself in the museum's special dig pit!Towards the end of the holiday, we're having a big family picnic at the park. My aunts, uncles, and cousins are all coming, and we're going to play games like frisbee, badminton, and evenhave a water balloon fight. I can't wait to soak my cousins with the water balloons! On the last day of the holiday, we're just relaxing at home. I'll probably spend most of the day playing video games or watching TV shows and movies. It's going to be a lazy day, but I'll need to recharge my batteries before going back to school.Overall, this May Day holiday is turning out to be incredible. I'm doing so many fun activities with my family and friends. I'm making lots of great memories that I'll never forget. Even though I'm enjoying my time off from school, I know I'll be ready to go back and see my classmates and teachers again. But for now, I'm just going to soak up every minute of this amazing holiday!篇5My Awesome May Day HolidayIt's the beginning of May and I'm so excited because my May Day holiday has just started! May Day is a special holiday in my country where we get a whole week off from school. This year, my family and I are going on a big trip to visit my grandparents who live far away. I can't wait!Right now, we're packing our suitcases and getting ready to leave tomorrow morning. Mom is running around the house like a crazy person, making sure we have everything we need. She keeps muttering under her breath, "Toothbrushes, check. Pajamas, check. Snacks for the road, check." Dad is trying to stay calm and getting our bags loaded into the car.My little brother is being a total pain, as usual. He keeps whining, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" even though we haven't even left yet! I have to resist the urge to bop him on the head. Instead, I'm reading through the travel games I packed to keep us busy on the long drive. We've got mad libs, license plate games, the alphabet road sign game, and even some brain teasers. Hopefully, between those and the snacks, we'll all stay sane! The next morning, we wake up bright and early. I'm running on just a few hours of sleep because I was too excited to sleep much. We do last minute checks, make sure we didn't forget anything, then finally hit the road. The drive to my grandparents' house takes almost 8 hours, but it's broken up with lots of stops to use the bathroom and get drinks and snacks.Every few hours, Dad switches off driving with Mom. My brother falls asleep pretty quickly, which is a relief. I plug in myheadphones and listen to music and podcasts for kids to pass the time when I'm not doing travel games. The hours spent driving feel so long, but the scenery outside is beautiful as we drive through forests, past lakes, and over mountains. We stop for lunch at a roadside restaurant where I have a cheeseburger and fries. We get back on the road and I fall asleep for a little bit with my head leaning against the window. When I wake up, we're getting close! I loved ones that my grandparents live on a farm and I'm so excited to see the animals and run around in the fields. I can't wait! Finally, after what feels like forever, we pull up to their cute little farmhouse. My grandparents come rushing out to greet us with big hugs and kisses. My grandma exclaims, "Look how much you've grown!" even though I've grown maybe an inch since they last saw me. My grandpa ruffles my hair and says "There's my best buddy!"We head inside and I get to see all the familiar family pictures and decorations that make my grandparents' home feel so warm and cozy. The whole place smells like butterscotch and fresh baked goods because my grandma is always baking up a storm of delicious treats. After we get settled in, we all sit downto a home-cooked meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and biscuits. My grandma's food is unbeatable! After we finish eating, my brother and I can't wait to go explore outside. We chase the chickens around the yard, climb up to the hayloft in the big red barn, and make friends with the cows, pigs, and goats out in the pasture. My grandpa takes us on a walk around the property while my grandma starts working on an apple pie back in the kitchen. We wake up early every morning to do farm chores like collecting eggs, feeding the animals, and grooming the ponies. In the afternoons, we relax by going fishing down at the creek, playing board games, and just hanging out together as a family. One night, we even have a big bonfire and make s'mores! The week goes by way too fast. Before I know it, it's our last day and we have to start getting ready to head back home tomorrow. I'm really going to miss this place! We take a million family pictures outside in the fields of wildflowers to remember the trip. That night at dinner, my grandparents give us all a big hug and tell us they can't wait for us to come back again soon. The drive home feels twice as long for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm sad about leaving my grandparents' house. By the time we get back, we're all completely exhausted. But I hadsuch an amazing May Day holiday full of incredible memories that I'll never forget! I'm glad I got to spend that special time with my family.篇6My May Day Holiday This YearWow, this May Day holiday is so much fun! I'm having the best time ever. Let me tell you all about the exciting things I'm doing.First of all, my cousins from out of town are staying with us for the whole week. My aunt, uncle and three cousin brothers arrived two days ago and they'll be here until the holiday ends next Monday. I'm so happy they're here because that means I have built-in playmates and don't have to be bored at home. We've already had a blast just hanging out at home playing games, watching movies and eating yummy snacks. My mom made my cousins' favorite - chocolate chip cookies - and we gobbled them up in no time. She had to bake another batch!Yesterday, we went to the new trampoline park that just opened near our house. It's this huge warehouse filled with every kind of trampoline surface you can imagine - straight ones, angled ones, foamy pit areas to jump into, and even a dodgeball court made of trampolines! We jumped our hearts out for three hours straight and I'm still sore today from all the bouncing around. My favorite part was the dodgeball area where we played intense games of trampoline dodgeball. My older cousin Billy is the trampoline dodgeball king - he has crazy aim and can pelt you when you least expect it. I got him out a few times too though by catching his throws. We were totally exhausted but exhilarated by the end.Today we're going to this amazing new virtual reality gaming center that apparently just opened a few weeks ago. You get to put on these crazy high-tech goggles and explore these incredibly real 3D worlds and environments. From what I've heard, the graphics and effects are just mind-blowing. You feel like you're in another dimension or something! There are all kinds of different virtual reality games to play like first-person shooters, magical fantasy quests, spooky haunted houses, and more. I can't wait to try out as many of them as possible. I hope I don't get too freaked out by how real it all looks! The weirdest part is how there are these rumored glitches where you can sort of get trapped in the virtual worlds for a bit if the system malfunctions! I'm not sure if I totally believe that, but my cousin Billy says he knows someone who knows someone where that happened. He's just trying to psych me out though.Tomorrow I think we're going to go on a short road trip to the mountainous area about an hour outside the city. There are some beautiful scenic hiking trails and viewpoints over there, and my aunt says she wants to go exploring in nature for a day to counterbalance all our indoor video game playing.I'm honestly kind of dreading all the hiking part since it's going to be tiring clomping up and down those rocky paths in the heat. But I know the views from the peaks will be amazing so I'm also really looking forward to it. We're packing a super yummy picnic lunch too to enjoy at the top.On Friday, we have tickets to go to HolographWorld, which is supposed to be this incredible new museum where all the exhibits are made of cutting-edge hologram technology that makes everything seem wildly three-dimensional and vivid. You can even somehow interact with certain holograms using motion sensors. From the previews I've seen, it looks like the craziest, trippiest place ever. There are holograms of everything from dinosaurs to outer space scenes to the depths of the ocean and more. I can't even really imagine what it will be like until I experience it myself but I'm sure my mind will be completely blown. The funniest part is that apparently my technology unsavvy grandparents are coming with us too. I can't wait to see their priceless confused reactions to the hyper-realistic holograms! They're going to think everything is an actual living, breathing creature or environment. We're going to have to keep yanking them back to reality. Then for the last two days of the holiday on Saturday and Sunday, we don't really have any big plans yet, but that's sort of nice. We'll probably just hang out, relax, play outside, maybe catch a movie, have a barbecue or something. Just a low-key fun time at home all together.Oh, but I almost forgot the best part - on Saturday night we're setting up a massive tent in the backyard and doing anall-night camping sleepover under the stars! We've never done that before so I'm crazy excited for it. We'll make s'mores, tellspooky stories, watch the night sky, and hopefully no one chickens out from being too freaked in the outdoors after dark.So as you can see, I'm having an absolutely jam-packed and thrilling May Day holiday so far this year doing all kinds of new, exciting activities with my favorite cousin buddies. We've already made so many amazing memories and it's only halfway through the week! I feel so grateful and lucky.Part of me also can't wait to just go back to the routine of school next week, but another part of me wishes this week could last forever. Ah, the dilemmas of youth! For now though, I'm just going to keep on soaking up and cherishing every single adventurous moment of this epic May holiday. Woo-hoo!。

五一假期我的一天七年级下册英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1One Day During the May Day HolidayHooray! The May Day holiday had finally arrived, and I couldn't wait to enjoy my week off from school. No more waking up early, no more homework, and no more boring classes – just pure relaxation and fun.I woke up around 9 am, which was pretty late for me. Usually, my mom would barge into my room and yell at me to get ready for school, but not during the holidays. I stretched my arms and let out a big yawn. The sun was shining brightly through my window, and I could hear the chirping of birds outside. After lazing in bed for a while, I decided to get up and have breakfast. I put on my favorite Spider-Man pajamas and made my way to the kitchen. Mom had already prepared a delicious spread of congee, fried dough sticks, and soy milk."Good morning, sleepyhead," she said with a smile. "I thought you'd never wake up!"I grinned and dug into my breakfast. The congee was piping hot and perfectly seasoned, just the way I liked it. The fried dough sticks were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Breakfast was definitely the best part of my day. After cleaning up, I went back to my room to play some video games. I had been waiting forever to try out the new "Galactic Explorers" game, and now I had all the time in the world.I spent a few hours blasting aliens, exploring new planets, and completing missions. It was so much fun!Around lunchtime, Mom called me to the kitchen. "Hey, kiddo, why don't we go out for lunch today? You've been cooped up inside all morning."My eyes lit up at the idea. "Sure, Mom! Can we go to that new burger place everyone's been talking about?"Mom nodded, and we hopped into the car. The burger joint was crowded, but we managed to snag a table. I ordered a massive double-decker burger with fries and a milkshake. The burger was absolutely massive, but I devoured it in no time. It was juicy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. After lunch, we decided to go for a stroll in the park. The weather was perfect – warm and sunny with a gentle breeze. Wewalked along the winding paths, admiring the colorful flowers and lush greenery. I even spotted a few squirrels scampering about. As we were walking, we came across a group of kids playing a game of soccer. They were short a player, so they invited me to join them. I had always loved soccer, so I eagerly agreed. For the next hour or so, we kicked the ball around, laughing and joking with each other. It was a friendly game, but we still gave it our all. I even managed to score a couple of goals, much to my teammates' delight. After the game, I was exhausted but happy. Playing soccer had been the perfect way to burn off some energy and enjoy the outdoors. On the way home, we stopped by an ice cream parlor for a sweet treat. I ordered a triple-scoop cone with chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream. It was absolutely heavenly, and I savored every bite.As the sun started to set, we made our way back home. I took a refreshing shower and changed into my comfy pajamas. For dinner, Mom had ordered pizza from our favorite localpizzeria. We settled down in the living room, munching on our pizza slices and watching a funny movie together.By the time the movie ended, I was struggling to keep my eyes open. It had been a long, eventful day, but so much fun. As I crawled into bed, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the wonderful time I'd had. The May Day holiday was off to an amazing start, and I couldn't wait to see what adventures awaited me in the days to come.篇2My Wonderful May Day HolidayAh, the May Day holiday! It's one of my favorite times of the year. A whole week off from school to relax, have fun, and recharge. This year's holiday was extra special. Let me tell you all about the amazing day I had.It started bright and early at 7am when my annoying little brother came barging into my room, jumping on my bed like a crazy monkey. "Wake up, sleepyhead! It's May Day!" he shouted right in my ear. I groaned and tried to hide under my covers, but he just kept jumping and laughing. Some mornings it's really hard being the older sibling! After finally managing to pry myself out of bed, I headed downstairs for breakfast. My mom had prepared a lovely spread of dumplings, eggs, and fresh fruit. My favorite! As I munched away, she reminded me of our plans for the day. "Don't forget, we're going to spend the morning at the park, then this afternoon your aunt and uncle are coming over for a big holiday meal."The park sounded fun, but I wasn't really looking forward to the family dinner. My aunt and uncle can be kind of boring, always asking me about my grades and future plans. At 13 years old, the last thing I want is a bunch of adults grilling me! But I knew there was no getting out of it, so I just smiled and nodded. After breakfast, we all piled into the car and headed to the big park on the other side of town. It's a beautiful place, with tons of walking paths, playgrounds, and even a little lake for paddleboating. The weather was perfect too - warm and sunny without a cloud in the sky.My parents brought a blanket and we claimed a nice spot on the grass under a shady tree. While they read books, my brother and I decided to explore. We wandered over to the playground and I pushed him on the swings for a while. He's scared of the really high ones, so I just gave him nice, gentle pushes. It wasactually kind of relaxing swinging back and forth while enjoying the warm spring breeze.Next, we headed over to the lake to check out the paddleboats. I've always loved those things! We each paid 10 yuan for a half-hour rental. My boat was shaped like a swan, which I thought was pretty cute. My brother got a bright red speed boat shape, the perfect choice for an energetic little kid.As soon as we pushed off from the dock, my brother started frantically paddling his boat, going around in circles and zipping back and forth across the lake. Me, I just leisurely made my way along at a slower pace, enjoying the tranquil scene of willow trees hanging over the water's edge. A few ducks even came up to my boat, probably hoping I'd toss them some bread crumbs. Sorry guys, no food from me today! Before I knew it, the half hour was up and we had to return the boats. I could have stayed out there all day just drifting along. It was so peaceful and relaxing. But my rumbling tummy told me it was time to head back and have some lunch. We met back up with my parents, who had packed a picnic of sandwiches, fruit, and cold drinks. We all dug in hungrily, savoring the delicious food and each other's company. Mybrother and I even stopped our usual bickering for once. The day was just too nice to spend arguing. After lunch, my parents wanted to go for a walk along one of the scenic trails, but my brother and I convinced them to let us go to the rock climbing wall instead. I'm a total adventure nut, always looking for some kind of physical challenge to test myself. My parents finally gave in after we promised not to do anything too crazy. The climbing wall was tough but so much fun! I made it all the way up to the very top, which was probably about 25 feet high. The view from up there was incredible - I could see the whole park laid out in front of me, from the playgrounds to the walking trails to the lake shimmering in the distance. My brother didn't quite have the stamina to make it to the very top, but he was beaming with pride at his accomplishment when he rang the bell at the 15 foot level.Once we were back on solid ground, my parents declared it was time to head home. I'll admit, I dragged my feet a little. I was having such a blast at the park and really didn't want the fun to end. But my mom promised we could come back again soon before the holiday was over.It was a quick drive home, where we all sprinted upstairs to take showers and get ready for my aunt and uncle's arrival. I put on a fresh pair of shorts and a clean t-shirt, forcing myself to look presentable for the adults. My brother, of course, didn't care about that kind of thing. He just put on the篇3One Day During My May Day HolidayHooray, the May Day holiday was finally here! I had been counting down the days until this glorious week off from school. No more getting up at the crack of dawn, no more boring lectures, no more piles of homework. Just five full days to goof off and do whatever I wanted.I awoke around 10am on the first day of the break after a nice long lie-in. The sun was shining brightly through my bedroom window as I stretched out my arms and legs, relishing in the feeling of having absolutely no responsibilities for once. Downstairs, I could hear my little brother watching cartoons at full volume as usual. Mom must have already been up for hours doing chores. After lingering in bed a while longer browsing games on my phone, I finally decided to drag myself up and start the day. Ithrew on a t-shirt and shorts and headed to the kitchen, where Mom had left out some dumplings and rice porridge for me. My favorite! With my hunger satisfied, I flopped down on the couch to see what my brother was watching - some silly superhero show as per usual. He may act all tough but I know he still loves those childish programs. We ended up watching a few episodes together, laughing at all the over-the-top fight sequences and lame jokes.Once the cartoon binge was over, I figured I better get outdoors and burn off some energy instead of being a couch potato all day. I decided to meet up with a couple of my buddies at the neighborhood basketball court. The three of us played some heated games of two-on-one, running around like maniacs chasing after the ball. We got totally drenched in sweat under the hot sun. After a couple hours, we were all getting pretty exhausted so we stopped for a break, gulping down water and Gatorade as we caught our breath. That's when I noticed Wang Hui, a girl from my class who I have a huge crush on, hanging out with her friends on the other side of the court. I tried to act all casual andimpress her with my ball handling skills, but I'm pretty sure I just ended up looking like a total dork instead.Once we were rested, the three of us decided to head over to the new shopping mall that had opened recently to check it out. It was absolutely massive inside, with what seemed like hundreds of stores spanning several floors. We spent a couple hours just wandering around gawking at all the fancy displays andhigh-tech gadgets through the store windows. Everything looked so sleek and modern compared to the run-down shops in our neighborhood. My friends wanted to grab a bite to eat, so we stopped at the food court and I treated them to some burgers and fries. It felt so grown-up being able to hang out at the mall without our parents chaperoning us. We were riding that heady wave of new-found independence that comes with being teenagers. After eating, we spent way too much of our pocket money than we should have at the arcade. But can you blame us? There were all these flashing lights and bleep-bloop sounds pulling us in like mosquitoes to a zapper. I wasted most of my cash trying to win a giant stuffed panda prize from the claw machine to no avail. Stupid rigged game.As the evening rolled around, we reluctantly decided to head home before our parents started wondering where we had gotten ourselves. I was feeling that contented yet melancholy feeling you get after a really fun day, knowing it has to end eventually. When I got home, Mom had prepared a delicious hot pot dinner for us. My brother and I dug in, slurping down spicy broth and fishing greedy mouthfuls of meat and vegetables out of the bubbling pot with our chopsticks. Afterwards, I flopped down in front of the TV and watched some reality shows while letting my food settle.finally, I dragged myself up to my room feeling utterly spent yet satisfied from the adventures of the day. I collapsed onto my bed and opened up my laptop to browse some videos before bed. Even though I knew I had four more days of freedom left, part of me was already feeling a little wistful thinking about having to go back to school eventually. But I quickly brushed those worries aside - no need to ruin my holiday sulking about that just yet!As I drifted off to sleep, my mind replayed the highlights of the day: the sun on my face during the basketball games, the neon lights and sounds of the arcade, the laughter and jokesshared with my friends. Yeah, this is what being a kid is all about - soaking in all those small, seemingly insignificant yet precious moments that'll make up the highlight reel of your childhood someday. I couldn't wait to see what adventures the rest of my May Day break would hold.篇4A Day During the May HolidayHooray, the May holiday was finally here! No school for a whole week. I had been counting down the days until this glorious break from classes, homework, and getting up at the crack of dawn. On the first day of the holiday, I didn't even set my alarm clock. I slept in until 10am, relishing the chance to sleep as late as I wanted without my mom nagging me to wake up for school. When I finally dragged myself out of bed, I shuffled to the kitchen in my pajamas and monster slippers. My little brother was already sitting at the table, shoveling cereal into his mouth while watching cartoons on the iPad. He looked up at me with a mischievous grin and said "Well, well, look who finally decided to join the living!" I just grunted at him and poured myself a big bowl of sugary cereal. After breakfast, I plopped down on the couch and played video games for a couple of hours. I was making great progress on the new game I got for my birthday when my mom came in and shut off the TV. "Jason! You've been inside staring at screens all morning. Get off your lazy butt and go outside to get some fresh air and exercise!" she scolded me.I groaned loudly but knew better than to argue with her. I laced up my shoes and grabbed my basketball from the garage. May as well head to the park and shoot some hoops if I was being forced to go outdoors. To my delight, some of my buddies from school were already playing a pick-up game when I got there. We divided into teams and played an intense few hours of sweaty, trash-talking basketball until we were exhausted. As I was walking home afterwards, I worked up quite an appetite from running around in the hot sun. My friend Zhang Hui invited me over to his house for lunch since his mom is an amazing cook. His family is from Sichuan province, so we feasted on super spicy dishes like mouth-numbing hot pot, diced chicken with chili peppers, and fragrant rice. Everything was so flavorful and delicious, but I had to keep taking breaks to chug water and fan my mouth because the heat was overpowering. When we were stuffed to the gills, we lounged around playing video games at his house for a while. In the late afternoon, my parents forced me to run some errands with them, which was pretty lame. We went to the grocery store, the bank, and the post office to mail a package to my aunt. On the way home, we stopped at my grandma's house for a visit. She fussed over me as usual, squeezing my cheeks and exclaiming about how quickly I was growing up and becoming a handsome young man. Then she stuffed me with sunflower seeds, candies, and freshly baked homemade cookies until I thought I would burst. Grandmas always try to overfeed you, but her cooking is so good that I can never resist! After leaving my grandma's, we went downtown to walk around the bustling pedestrian shopping street. It was absolutely packed with people out enjoying the holiday. There were crowds everywhere - musicians busking, street food vendors with sizzling snacks, and shops with special sales and promotions. The air was filled with delicious smells, loud music and a festive atmosphere. My dad treated us to some strawberry and taro ice cream cones, which were amazing on the warm evening. Finally back at home, I was completely wiped out from being on the go all day long. After a quick shower, I flopped into bedearlier than usual, exhausted but happy. Even though I had lazing around playing video games all morning, it ended up being a jam-packed, fun-filled day. I couldn't wait to see what other adventures the rest of the holiday week would hold!篇5My Wonderful May Day HolidayHooray, the May Day holiday was finally here! I had been counting down the days until this glorious week off from school. As a 7th grader, the school year felt never-ending with test after test and huge piles of homework every night. This vacation was going to be my chance to recharge before the final push until summer.I woke up bright and early on the first day feeling refreshed and ready to enjoy my freedom. The sun was shining, the birds were singing cheerful songs, and I could smell mom's delicious dumplings cooking downstairs. This was already shaping up to be the perfect day! After devouring a heaping plate of dumplings, I rushed outside to meet up with my best friends Jian and Mei. We have been insulparable since kindergarten and any break from school meant maximizing our play time together. The neighborhoodplayground was just a few blocks away, so that's where we headed first. When we arrived, the playground was packed with kids shouting, running around, and claiming their territory on the various rides and structures. Jian, Mei and I made a beeline straight for the swings, since they were our absolute favorite. We Must have swung back and forth for at least an hour, seeing who could go the highest and jump the farthest off at just the right moment.Next up was the seesaw, one of the true classics. Jian and I took one side while Mei manned the other end all by herself. We laughed hysterically as she frantically bounced up and down, trying her best to counteract our weight. Eventually she grew too tired and launched herself off, tumbling safely onto the rubber ground covering. The merry-go-round was another highlight. Somehow we managed to perfectly synchronize our pushing and get it spinning at maximum speed. The rushing winds whipped our faces as we sprinted alongside, desperately trying to jump on at just the right moment. Jian was the first to successfully hoist himself into the spinning wheel of doom, swiftly followed by meand then finally Mei. We clung on for dear life, screaming wildly as the merry-go-round showed no signs of slowing down. After what felt like an eternity, our death grip finally gave way and we were flung across the playground, landing in a giggling heap of pure childhood joy. That rolicking good time had completely drained what little energy reserves we had left.As if perfectly timed, my mom appeared carrying a basket filled with fresh jianbing - one of my favorite street food snacks. These delicious crepe-like wraps with crispy crackers, egg, lettuce, sausage and sauce hit the spot. We eagerly devoured them on a nearby bench, refueling ourselves for more shenanigans.Mom had also brought her portable radio playing some Classic pop songs that we all sang along to, completely botching the lyrics. We didn't care though, we were having too much fun.Once re-energized, we spent the rest of the afternoon back on the playground trying out all sorts of different games and activities we could think of. We played intense games of Ghost in the Graveyard, attempted handstands, did cartwheels, and eventually settled into a calming cloud-watching session. Before we knew it, the sun was beginning to set and we had played ourselves to exhaustion. My legs were scratched and scraped from constantly tumbling on the ground. My throat was raw from all the yelling and laughing. And yet I felt absolutely amazing, filled with the simple joys that only a beautiful spring day dedicated purely to playtime can bring. We parted ways, already counting down until we could reunite tomorrow and do it all over again. As I walked home, I felt that wonderful yet bittersweet feeling of an incredible day coming to a close. Part of me wanted to freeze that moment forever and bask in the warm glow of childhood whimsy. But perhaps it's those fleeting moments of magic that make them so special and worth cherishing. When I arrived back home, I gave my parents the world's biggest hug, truly appreciating how lucky I was. Not just for this holiday, but for my wonderful life filled with such caring family, great friends, and a nurturing community. Those simple moments of playtime weren't just silly, meaningless games after all. They were priceless bonding experiences that shape who we become as we slowly start transitioning into teenagers and adults. I felt so grateful to have the chance to be a kid one last time before that period starts. And I vowed to never lose that youthful spark of joy, curiosity and imagination no matter how old I grow.篇6My Day During the May Day HolidayYay, finally the May Day holiday was here! I had been counting down the days until this long-awaited break from school. No more waking up early, no more boring classes, and no more piles of homework for a whole week! I could hardly contain my excitement as I jumped out of bed that morning. After a hearty breakfast of congee and youtiao (fried dough sticks), my parents told me we were going to visit my grandparents in the countryside. I wasn't too thrilled about spending my holiday in a small village with no internet or video games, but I tried to keep an open mind. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all.The drive took forever, or at least that's how it felt to me. I spent most of the time staring out the window, watching the cityscape gradually give way to endless fields and farms. When we finally arrived, my grandparents greeted us with warm hugs and big smiles. They looked so happy to see us.After settling in, my grandpa took me on a tour of their little farm. He showed me the vegetable garden, the chicken coop, and even let me feed the pigs! It was kind of gross but also really cool. I had never been that up close and personal with farm animals before. For lunch, my grandma made us the most delicioushome-cooked meal. There were all sorts of dishes I had never tried before, like stir-fried water spinach, braised pork belly, and steamed fish with black bean sauce. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I stuffed myself until I could barely move.In the afternoon, my grandpa taught me how to play Chinese chess. I had seen the game before but never really understood the rules. It was a lot trickier than it looked! We must have played for hours as he patiently explained each move. Even though I lost every single game, I had a lot of fun bonding with him.As the sun started to set, we all gathered in the courtyard to watch my grandparents tend to their vegetable garden. They showed me how to properly water the plants, pull weeds, and even harvest some ripe produce. I had always taken fresh fruits and veggies for granted, but now I had a newfound appreciation for all the hard work that goes into growing them. For dinner, we feasted on the vegetables we had just picked along with some grilled fish that my grandpa had caught earlier that day from the nearby river. The flavors were so pure and vibrant. I felt like I was tasting food for the first time. After dinner, we sat around the courtyard and my grandparents regaled us with stories from their youth. Some were hilarious, others were heartbreaking, but all of them gave me a deeper understanding of the lives they had lived. I realized how fortunate I was to have been born in a time of peace and prosperity. As I crawled into bed that night, exhausted but content, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the incredible day I had just experienced. Sure, there was no internet or video games, but I had made memories that would last a lifetime. I got to connect with my roots, learn valuable life skills, and most importantly, spend quality time with my beloved grandparents.Who knew a simple holiday in the countryside could be so enriching? I couldn't wait to see what other adventures the rest of the week would bring. As I drifted off to sleep, I made a promise to myself to step out of my comfort zone more often and embrace new experiences with an open heart and mind. This holiday was turning out to be the best one yet.。

As far as I can see, it is of great necessity to cancel the May Day Long Holiday. I would like to divide my presentation into four parts to talk about the reasons why cancelling the May Day Long Holiday.First, the moderate adjustment of the May Day Long Holiday is beneficial to embodying the traditional holidays of China. Recently, some Chinese people especially the young man pay much attention to the Western holidays such as Christmas and neglect the Chinese traditional holidays. The new holiday system disperses the May Day Long Holiday and brings the Tomb Sweeping Day, the Dragon Boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival into the holiday system, which is an effective way to protect the traditional culture and to wake up people’s consciousness to experience the connotation of the traditional culture.Second, the long holiday does cause lots of social problems because of the concentrated consuming. There are traffic jams almost everywhere. People wait in long queues at bus-stops and taxi-stands, looking entirely exhausted. It is so hard to get a ticket and t he railway station is congested with travelers who rush to the platform like a swarm of bees and then squeeze their way into the train for seats as if there would be no tomorrow. In the restaurants, tables are shared. A platoon of waiters files out from the kitchen armed with various containers of eatables. Orders are taken feverishly and then shout across to the kitchen. The above are just some vivid scenes that happen in the May Day Long Holiday. Everywhere is chaos and chaos and people can hardly enjoy the pleasure and leisure the holiday ought to bring.Third, cancelling the Golden Week, there are two advantages in the long term. On one hand, the conflicts between the collective travel and the environmental tolerance can be solved better. Statistical figures show that there are about hundred million tourists playing in the sight spots every golden week. The overload of tourists not only reduces the gold content of golden week, but also does damage to the natural environment and tourism resources. On the other hand, after cancelling the May Day Long Holiday, the travel agents as well as the sight spots can improve their standards of service in the reception of relatively low load situation and guarantee the tourists’ visiting quality. Finally, the abolition of the May Day Long Holiday will help rational consumption. Many consumers think that it is a great time to go shopping in the golden week because the business promotes sales by cutting prices then. From May Day, to be more exact, a few days earlier than May Day, the shopping season starts. Most shops extend their shopping hours to respond to their enthusiastic customers. There are special sales with discount coupons and various sales promotions in nearly every big store to lure potential customers into spending more. Crowds of shoppers flock towards department stores, enjoying their high purchasing power. Customers areoften tempted by the discount, not realizing the seasonal clearance of the goods or the sham discount, which causes a lot of irrational consumption.Although the May Day Long Holiday benefits the tourism industry a lot, the limited resources in aviation, transportation and hotel can not meets the large number of the tourists, which causes the traffic jams and waste of resources. And bringing up the long holiday into parts can do good to the short-term travel. Besides, cancelling the May Day Long Holiday can guide the rational consumption and embody Chinese traditional culture. From the equilibrium point of view, the advantages of cancelling the May Day Long Holiday outweigh the disadvantages. To conclude, Mr. Chairman, fellow colleagues, friends, it is of great necessity to cancel the May Day Long Holiday. The new holiday system can bring people leisure as well as pleasure and we should look upon the cancelling the May Day Long Holiday from the scientific point of view.。
