up, Claire found her husband Larry lying beside her. It seemed that he came back late the night before and he was sleeping like a log( 睡 得 熟 ). Looking at his face , she suddenly felt sad and even disgusted( 恶心 ). He was short and looked a bit ugly. He even seemed much older than he actually was because of hard work of many years. It was disturbing to think that he never cared about her unhappiness, never saying something pleasant and not knowing how to please and comfort her when she was in trouble. The more she thought, the sadder she felt. She decided to divorce( 离婚 ) with him when he woke up. She was never more sure of anything in her life.

Teaching Design Satisfaction Guaranteed一．教学对象分析本课教学对象为高二学生，在英语方面具备一定的基础，对英语学习有比较强的欲望和兴趣，智力发展趋于成熟，他们已逐渐形成用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力。

根据《普通高中英语课程标准（实验）》“建立新的外语教育教学理念……建立多元、开放的英语课程评价……”的精神，采用活动教学法实施课堂教学，关注学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识等素养的培养。

因此本课教学的重点之一是培养学生如何用英语思维和表达的习惯，使学生学会把语言学习与现实生活和兴趣结合起来，提高实际运用语言的能力。

通过任务型的课堂活动和学习，使学生能主动参与到课堂活动中来，成为课堂的主体，提高自主学习和合作学习的能力。

二．教材内容分析本单元的话题是机器人，文学作品中的机器人以及科幻小说作者——阿西莫夫。

当我们谈起机器人的时候，人们多会想到是科幻小说，童话故事，卡通故事等。

但是机器人已经在我们现实生活中发挥着巨大作用，它们被广泛应用于工农业生产及军事等领域。

许多机器人在家中做繁杂的家务，甚至代替人类从事一些危险的工作。

本单元介绍了不同种类的机器人，本节课是本单元的第二课时，学生在warming up中已经对机器人有所了解了。

但是学生脑中的机器人多停留在小说、电视或者电影当中。

Reading部分是根据科幻小说作家——阿西莫夫的故事改编的。
