英国女王伊丽莎白二世2022年圣诞节英语演讲稿I once knew someone who spent a year in a plaster cast recovering from an operation onhis back. He read a lot, and thought a lot, and felt miserable.Later, he realised this time of forced retreat from the world had helped him to understandthe world more clearly. We all need to get the balance right between action and reflection. With so manydistractions, it is easy to forget to pause and take stock. Be it through contemplation, prayer, or even keeping a diary, many have found the practice of quiet personal reflectionsurprisingly rewarding, even discovering greater spiritual depth to their lives.Reflection can take many forms. When families and friends come together at Christmas, it’soften a time for happy memories and reminiscing. Our thoughts are with those we have lovedwho are no longer with us. We also remember those who through doing their duty cannot be athome for Christmas, such as workers in essential or emergency services. And especially at this time of year we think of the men and women serving overseas in ourarmed forces. We are forever grateful to all those who put themselves at risk to keep us safe.Service and duty are not just the guiding principles of yesteryear; they have an enduringvalue which spans the generations.I myself had cause to reflect this year, at Westminster Abbey, on my own pledge ofservice made in that great church on Coronation Day sixty years earlier. The anniversary reminded me of the remarkable changes that haveoccurred since theCoronation, many of them for the better; and of the things that have remained constant, suchas the importance of family, friendship and good neighbourliness. But reflection is not just about looking back. I and many others are looking forward to theCommonwealth Games in Glasgow next year. The baton relay left London in October and is now the other side of the world, on its wayacross seventy nations and territories before arriving in Scotland next summer. Its journey is areminder that the Commonwealth can offer us a fresh view of life.My son Charles summed this up at the recent meeting in Sri Lanka. He spoke of theCommonwealth’s “family ties” that are a source of encouragement to many. Like any familythere can be differences of opinion. But however strongly they’re expressed they are heldwithin the common bond of friendship and shared experiences. Here at home my own family is a little larger this Christmas. As so many of you will know, the arrival of a baby gives everyone the chance tocontemplate the future with renewed happiness and hope. For the new parents, life will neverbe quite the same again! As with all who are christened, George was baptised into a joyful faith of Christian dutyand service. After the christening, we gathered for the traditional photograph. It was a happy occasion, bringing together four generations. In the year ahead, I hope you will have time to pause for moments of quiet reflection. Asthe man in the plaster cast discovered, the results can sometimes be surprising. For Christians, as for all people of faith, reflection, meditation and prayer help us torenew ourselves in God’s love, as we strive daily to become better people. The Christmasmessage shows us that this love is for everyone. There is no one beyond its reach. On the first Christmas, in the fields above Bethlehem, as they sat in the cold of nightwatching their resting sheep, the local shepherds must have had no shortage of time forreflection. Suddenly all this was to change. These humble shepherds were the first to hearand ponder the wondrous news of the birth of Christ - the first noel - the joy of which wecelebrate today.I wish you all a very happy Christmas.。

丘吉尔在美国度圣诞节的即席演讲稿:历史与未来演讲稿Ladies and gentlemen,It is an honor and a pleasure to be here in the United States on this special occasion of Christmas. As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we also reflect on the past year and on the challenges that lie ahead in the future. As you know, history has a way of repeating itself. We need only look at the lessons of the past to guide us in the present and into the future. The world has seen conflicts and wars, and it has also seen peace and prosperity. We must learn from the past to ensure that we do not repeat the mistakes of the past. We, in our time, are facing a great deal of uncertainty. We are in the midst of a pandemic that has disrupted ourlives and brought change to the world. The world economy has been affected, and some countries are struggling to cope with the impact of the pandemic. It is important that we recognize the role that each of us can play in making the world a better place. We can startby looking beyond our own individual needs and focusing on the collective good. We need to work together to find solutions to the challenges that we face. We need to think about the future and consider how our actions today will impact future generations. As we celebrate Christmas, let us be reminded of the importance of peace, love, and unity. We need to come together as a global community to fight against the pandemic and to promote peace and prosperity. We cannot let our differences divide us. We need to learn from each other and work together for the common good.In conclusion, I would like to remind you of the words of Winston Churchill, who once said, "The pessimist seesdifficulty in every opportunity. The optimist seesopportunity in every difficulty." Let us be optimists as we face the challenges of the future, and let us work togetherto build a better world for ourselves and for generations to come.Thank you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!。

On this Christmas Eve, Laura and I send our best wishes to families across America as you gather in your homes to celebrate the holiday. Christmas is a time of joy and peace, and we hope the holiday season brings all of you happy reunions with families and friends, and time to rest and reflect as you look forward to a new year.At Christmas, we give thanks for the gift of the birth of Christ, and for the blessings that surround us every day of the year. In this great and prosperous land, we have so much to be thankful for, and Christmas reminds us of our obligation to share these blessings with others. There are many among us who are hurting and require a helping hand. In the new year, I hope Americans will look for ways to volunteer your time and talents where they are needed most. By reaching out to a neighbor in need, we make our nation a more just and compassionate place. This Christmas, we remember our fellow citizens who suffered from the hurricanes and other disasters that struck our nation this past year. We pray for their strength as they continue to recover and rebuild their lives and their communities.During the holiday season and throughout the year, we think with pride of the men and women of our Armed Forces, who are keeping our nation safe and defending freedom around the world. In Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere, they are protecting our liberty by spreading liberty to others, and all Americans are grateful to our troops for their courage andcommitment. We re also grateful to their families. Staying behind when a family member goes to war is a heavy burden -- and it s particularly hard at Christmas. We pray for our military families; we ask Almighty God to bestow His protection and care on their loved ones as they protect our nation from grave dangers. We also remember the heroic men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation s freedom. We pray that God will comfort the loved ones they left behind. The sacrifices of these brave troops have rescued millions from lives of tyranny and sorrow, and made America more secure. We will always cherish the memory of each of our fallen servicemen and women, and count it a privilege to be citizens of the country they served. The times we live in have brought many challenges to our country. And at such times, the story of Christmas brings special comfort and confidence. Christmas reminds us that we can trust in God s promise of peace on Earth and goodwill toward men. On a night more than 2,000 years ago, an angel of the Lord brought good tidings of great joy: the God of Heaven had come to Earth, and He would be with us always.Thank you for listening, and Merry Christmas.圣诞节的英语演讲稿3ladies and gentlemen, good evening!Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December. It is a very happy day for many boys and girls . Before the term ends in some schools , the children act a nativity or “birth” play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable. On the twenty-fourth of December, all children are very excited. Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready. The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down thechimney or fireplace , so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents. Later that night, Father or Mother will put presents in the sock, and leave others at the side of the bed.On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. Some even turn on the light at two o clock, and most of them are awake by six o clock although it is not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children look for their presents , and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared.
