Tens of thousands of Chinese students have gone to foreign countries to study. Many others are trying their best to apply to study abroad. Some people are in favour of this trend. In the first place, those studying abroad can learn a foreign language quickly in a good language environment. Second, they can learn much more advanced knowledge of science and technology from foreign countries. Besides, they can meet people from different countries and experience different cultures, which may help broaden their views/horizons. However, some people have opposite opinions. Most of the students are too young to live alone without any living experience. In addition, living far away from their home country, they may feel lonely and homesick. Of course, the studying and living expenses are much higher than those at home. In my opinion, studying abroad is a wise choice in spite of the unavoidable disadvantages.
