大学英语专业四级作文题目及范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite TeacherEverybody has a favrit teacher, and mine is Miss Johnson. She is the nicest teacher ever! I love everything about her - her smily face, her pretty blue eyes, her kind voice, and even her flowry dresses. Miss Johnson is the best!Miss Johnson is my third grade teacher this year. On the first day of school, I was kinda nervous to have a new teacher. But as soon as Miss Johnson came in the classroom, I knew everything would be ok. She had a big smily face and said "Good morning, boys and girls! I'm so excited to have you in my class this year." Her voice was so gentle and kind. Then she told us all to come up one by one and say our names and somthing we like to do for fun. I almost didn't want to go cuz I was shy, but Miss Johnson made me feel comfortabull. When it was my turn, she smilled at me and said "Don't be scared, honey. Just tell us your name and a fun thing you like to do." So I took a deep breath and said "My name is Lily and I like to readbooks." Miss Johnson clapped and said "Wonderful! Reading is fantastic." After that, I wasn't nervous anymore.Everyday in class is fun with Miss Johnson. She makes learning feel like a game instead of work. In math, we don't just do a bunch of bore-ing problems. We might play bingo or go on a treasure hunt to practice our numbers. For spelling, we have competitions where we get to wear fun costumes if we get all the words right. Science is awsum too - we did a project where we made volcanos erubt with vinegar and baking soda! Every subject is an adventure.Miss Johnson is really smart and knows everything, but she doesn't show off like some stuck-up teachers. If somebody doesn't understand, she never gets mad or impatient. She just explains it a different way until we get it. Sometimes she uses puppets or acts it out to make the hard stuff more clear. Nobody feels dumb in her class. But my favrit thing about Miss Johnson is how much she cares about us, not just as students but as people. She always asks how we're feeling and if anything is worrying us at home or with friends. If somebody seems sad, she'll give them a big hug or crack a silly joke to make them laugh. Once, Timmy's dog ran away and Miss Johnson dropped everything to help him make"Lost Puppy" signs to put up around the neighborhood. Thankfully, his dog Buddy came back a few days later!Every Friday, we have Share Circle where anyone can talk about something happy or sad that happened that week. Miss Johnson always listens real close and never judges. One time, I got in a arguement with my best friend Amy and felt super bad about it. When I told the class, instead of saying "Don't fight with your friends," Miss Johnson said "Disagreements happen, even with people we love. The important thing is understanding each other and saying sorry." That made me feel a lot better.Besides teaching us all the school stuff, Miss Johnson also teaches us how to be good people. She says things like "Treat others how you want to be treated" and "A little kindness can brighten someone's whole day." Sometimes she reads us inspireing stories about kids showing courage or generosity. We even have a "Kindness Jar" where we put a puff ball every time someone does a nice deed, no matter how small. At the end of the month, whoever has the most puff balls gets a prize! I got one last week for sharing my crayons with Peter.I really look up to Miss Johnson and hope I can be as caring and fun as her someday. She makes third grade the best year ever. We're all so lucky to have her as our teacher. I'm gonna besuper sad to leave her class at the end of this year. But I'll always remember her lessons - the math and reading ones, but especially the lessons on being a good person. Miss Johnson is my role model forever!篇2My Dream JobHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. Today, I want to tell you all about my dream job. It's something I've been thinking about a lot lately. At first, I wanted to be a teacher because I love helping my little sister with her homework. But then I remembered how scary my third-grade teacher was, and I started having second thoughts.Instead, I think my dream job would be to work with animals, maybe at a zoo or an animal shelter. I just love furry (andnot-so-furry) creatures so much! My family has two dogs, a cat, and a bunch of fish. Taking care of them is one of my favorite things to do. I make sure they have fresh water and food every day. I also spend a lot of time playing with them and giving them belly rubs.Working at a zoo would be amazing because I'd get to see and learn about so many cool animals from all over the world. Can you imagine getting to hang out with lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!)? I'd be a little scared, but also super excited. I would try my best to make sure all the animals were happy and healthy. An animal shelter would be great too. My heart breaks whenever I see homeless dogs or cats looking sad and hungry on the street. At the shelter, I could help find loving families to adopt those poor animals. I'm really good at persuading my parents to let me have treats, so I bet I could convince people to take home a new furry friend!Whichever animal job I chose, I know it would be a lot of hard work. I'd have to clean out cages and pens, which doesn't sound like much fun. And some animals can be pretty smelly! But I wouldn't mind. To me, the chance to hang out with cute critters all day would be worth a little bit of yucky stuff.I should probably learn more about which animals are safe to be around though. My dad always reminds me not to go near stray dogs or cats because they could be dangerous. And I'm not sure how I'd feel about scooping up snake poop! Yuck! Maybe I'll just stick to the furry animals for now.One of the coolest parts about working with animals would be getting to learn their different habits and behaviors. Did you know that dogs are really smart and can learn hundreds of words?Or that cats spend a huge portion of their day just licking themselves? I'd get to observe all sorts of fascinating things like that.I could also teach others about how to properly care for pets.I already gave my cousin a very stern lecture when I found out he lets his goldfish go for days without cleaning out their bowl. That's just not right! All pets deserve a clean, loving environment.Spending time around animals always makes me feel so happy and calm. Whenever I'm having a bad day, I just have to snuggle up with my dogs or watch my cat chase a laser pointer for a few minutes. Instantly, my frown turns upside down! I think being around friendly, cuddly creatures would be the perfect job for me.For now, I just volunteer whenever I can. Sometimes I help my neighbors walk their dogs or scoop out the litter boxes for our classroom's pet rabbits. I also donate pet food, toys, and supplies to our local animal shelter. Maybe once I'm done with school, they'll let me come work there! A girl can dream, right?Well, that's my idea of the perfect job. Every day would be filled with playing, cuddling, and learning all about lots of cute, furry friends. I'd get to use my nurturing side to provide care and affection. And who knows, maybe I could even train the animalsto do fun tricks! Can't you just picture me riding around the zoo on an elephant's back? Now THAT would be living the dream! What about you? What's your dream job? I'll warn you now, if it has anything to do with hurting animals, we can't be friends! But if you want to join me in snuggling puppies and kittens all day, you've got my full support. Being an animal caretaker is the best gig out there, at least in this third-grader's opinion. Thanks for listening, and give your pet an extra treat from me tonight!篇3My Favorite TeacherHi, my name is Timmy and I'm in 5th grade. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite teacher, Mrs. Anderson. She is the best teacher ever! I've had her for reading and writing class the last two years and she makes learning so much fun.Mrs. Anderson always has a big smile on her face when she comes into the classroom. She gets really excited about the subjects she teaches and her energy gets us pumped up too. Reading used to be kind of boring to me before I had her class. But the way she reads the stories with different voices for each character makes them come alive! She also doesn't just lecture at us the whole time. She has us act out scenes from the books andcome up with our own creative endings. It's like a big improv show and lets us really use our imaginations. For writing, Mrs. Anderson doesn't just make us do boring grammar worksheets and essays. Although we do have to learn about nouns, verbs, adjectives and all that stuff, she has creative ways of teaching it. Like this one game where we have to toss a beach ball across the circle and whoever catches it has to name a verb, then toss it to someone else who has to name a noun, and it goes back and forth like that. We end up running around and getting some exercise while learning! She also let's us write about anything we want - fantasy stories, comics, movies we've seen, anything. As long as we're being creative and using proper grammar and spelling, she doesn't really limit us.Another thing I love about Mrs. Anderson is how she decorates her classroom. It's not just boring posters about math formulas and state capitals. She has awesome maps of imaginary lands from storybooks on the walls. She has a cozy reading corner with beanbags and fun lamps that look like pirates or aliens. She even grows plants and has an aquarium with fish in the back! It makes the room feel so vibrant and magical, definitely not the dull, drab classroom you'd expect.Mrs. Anderson herself is just a really cool, fun person too. At Halloween she always dresses up in an awesome costume - one year she was a vampire, another year a fairy princess. For our holiday party she plans cool games and activities like mummy wrapping competitions. And if we have reading time, sometimes she'll eat her lunch and read alongside us to model good habits. She definitely doesn't act like some boring, strict teacher that drones on and on. She's always lively and energetic.I've learned so much from being in Mrs. Anderson's class these past couple years. But even more than all the reading and writing skills, she's taught me positive values too. She's all about encouraging students to express themselves, letting our creativity run wild. She wants us to explore different worlds through literature and letting our imaginations soar.Mrs. Anderson has showed me how fun learning can be if you have the right attitude and environment. She doesn't try to force information into our brains, but gets us engaged through games, activities, art and storytelling. Instead of shushing us and making us sit still, she lets us be energetic kids as long as we're still focused and participating. I seriously look forward to her class every day because I know it'll be a fun, new adventure. So those are all the reasons why Mrs. Anderson is the best teacher ever in my book! She's made such a huge impact on me and I hope every kid can have a teacher like her. Someone who sparks their love of learning and inspires them to be creative. A teacher who breaks outside of the boring lectures and worksheets to make acquiring knowledge feel like an exciting journey. Not just someone who drones on endlessly about facts and formulas, but who connects with students and brings the subjects to life through passion and energy.I'm honestly kind of sad that I'll be moving on to middle school next year and won't have Mrs. Anderson as my teacher anymore. But the skills and values she's instilled in me will last forever. I'll never forget the way she opened my eyes to the magic of reading and writing. And I'll do my best to keep feeding my curiosity and imagination like she encouraged every day in her classroom. Thanks Mrs. Anderson - you're the best!篇4The Tough CET-4 TestHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm in 5th grade. My big sister Emily is a college student and she has to take this really hard test called the CET-4. I'm going to tell you all about it!The CET-4 stands for College English Test Band 4. Emily says it's a big important exam that all college students in China have to pass to get their degree. If you don't pass it, you can't graduate! So it's super duper important.Emily has been studying really really hard for it. She takes special classes and does tons of practice tests. Sometimes I see her books and papers all over the living room. The test has listening, reading, writing, and translation sections which sounds just awful to me!For the listening part, you have to listen to recordings and answer questions about what you heard. Emily practices by listening to english podcasts and movies. She says understanding different accents is really hard. For the reading, you have to read really long passages and answer comprehension questions. Emily reads English novels, magazines, and news articles to get ready. She has a huge vocabulary book too that she studies from. Then for the writing part, you have to write a short essay in a certain amount of time. Emily showed me some sample topics and they seemed pretty tricky to me. You have to give your opinion and support it with good reasons and examples. And finally, there's translation between Chinese and English in both directions. Emily says this part is one of the toughest because you have to really understand context and meaning, not just words. It all sounds incredibly difficult if you ask me! I'm just glad I'm still a kid and don't have to worry about that CET-4 monster yet. Phew!Emily takes her test next month and she's been feeling really stressed about it. I've been trying to help her stay positive. I make her tea and snacks while she studies. Sometimes I quiz her on vocabulary words for fun.I keep telling her "You're really smart Emily, you've worked so hard, you're totally going to pass!" I think a little encouragement from her kid brother goes a long way.The night before her test, I'm going to make her favorite dinner and bake her special good luck cookies. Then I'll wish her good luck and tell her to go get 'em! I'll be waiting at home cheering her on from here.Emily says once she passes the CET-4 it will be a huge relief and weight off her shoulders. She'll be able to focus more on hermajor classes and start thinking about life after graduation. Passing that test is a really big milestone.I really really hope my sister passes on her first try. She deserves it after all her late nights studying. If not, she'll have to take it again which would be such a bummer after all her hard work.Well, that's all I know about the CET-4 and why it's such an important test. It sounds crazy difficult if you ask me! I'm just glad I've got several more years before I need to start worrying about that one.Anyway, I've got to run - it's time for recess! I'll leave you with one last message for my big sis: YOU GOT THIS EMILY! I'm rooting for you! Love, Timmy篇5My Favorite PetHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my very best friend in the whole wide world - my dog Rufus!Rufus is a golden retriever and he's the most adorable, fluffiest, friendliest pup you'll ever meet. I've had him since I wasjust a little kid, like 5 years old. My parents got him for me for my birthday and I'll never forget the day they brought him home. He was just a tiny little ball of fur, yellowish-gold in color with the brightest eyes and a wagging tail that never stopped! From the moment I saw him I knew we were going to be inseparable.Rufus has been my constant companion ever since that day. We do everything together! In the mornings when I wake up, he's always right there waiting for me with his tail thumping on the floor. I give him a big hug and scratch behind his ears and he licks my face over and over. It's the best way to start the day. Then we head to the kitchen together and I feed him his breakfast while I eat mine. Rufus is pretty well-behaved but sometimes if I'm eating something really yummy like pancakes with syrup, he can't resist begging for a bite with those big puppy dog eyes. I usually sneak him a little piece when my parents aren't looking! After breakfast, Rufus and I go out to the backyard to play for a while before I have to leave for school. We have so much fun chasing each other around and playing fetch. Rufus can jump super high to catch his tennis ball. Sometimes I throw it really far and he has to run really fast to go get it. When he comes running back with it in his mouth, his ears are flopping all over the place -it's so silly and cute! I laugh so hard watching him. We also like to play hide and seek, where I go hide somewhere in the yard and Rufus has to sniff me out. His nose is amazing and he always finds me, even if I'm buried underneath a pile of leaves! The hardest part of my day is when I have to go to school and leave Rufus behind. I give him a million kisses and hugs and tell him I'll be back soon. While I'm at school, I know he just lounges around the house keeping my mom company. She sends me pictures sometimes of him napping on the couch or running around the yard. I can't wait to get home in the afternoon so I can play with him some more! When I get off the bus, Rufus is always waiting for me at the end of the driveway, jumping up and down with excitement to see me. I run up and we greet each other like we haven't seen each other in years! Then we head straight for the backyard or to the park to run around and have more playtime together. In the evenings, Rufus comes and snuggles with me on the couch while I'm doing my homework. He puts his head in my lap and I scratch his ears while I read or do my math problems. It makes the homework a lot more fun with him there. My favorite time with Rufus is bedtime though. After I take my bath and put on my pajamas, Rufus comes into my room withme. He has his very own little doggy bed on the floor right next to mine. I read him a bedtime story every night, even though I'm not sure if he actually understands what I'm saying. But he sits very patiently and lets me read to him anyway. Then I give Rufus one last hug and kiss, tell him I love him, and we both drift off to sleep. On the weekends, we have even more time for fun adventures together. Sometimes my parents take us on hikes in the woods. Rufus loves running along the trails and chasing any birds or squirrels he sees. Other times we'll go to the lake or beach and Rufus goes nuts playing in the water. He's such a strong swimmer and can jump really high to catch the sticks or toys I throw. We have a doggy pool at home too that Rufus spends hours in when it's hot outside.I really don't know what I'd do without my buddy Rufus. He's more than just a pet to me - he's my best friend in the whole world. We have so much fun together every single day. He's always there waiting for me with a wagging tail, ready to cheer me up if I'm sad or tired from school. Rufus never judges me and always gives me unconditional love, even if I'm having a bad day. He reminds me to stay playful and enjoy the simple things in life, like a long walk, a game of fetch, or a good belly rub. I feel solucky to have Rufus in my life. I'm going to keep making amazing memories with him for as long as I can!篇6My Day as an Elementary School KidHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 8 years old. I'm in 3rd grade at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I'm going to tell you all about a typical day in my life as an elementary school kid. It's a pretty fun life if you ask me!It all starts when my mom comes into my bedroom at 7am to wake me up for school. I never want to get out of my warm, cozy bed but she makes me. We have a morning routine we follow - I get dressed, brush my teeth, comb my hair, and head to the kitchen for breakfast. My favorite is waffles with syrup and strawberries! After breakfast, my mom packs my lunch for school. I always get a sandwich, some baby carrots, an apple, and a juice box. Sometimes I get a treat like chips or cookies too if I was extra good that week. Once my lunch is ready, I put on my backpack and head out the door with my mom to wait for the school bus.The bus picks me up right at my house at 8:15am. I love getting to ride the big yellow bus to school! I sit with my best friends Michael and Emma and we talk and laugh the whole way there. Sometimes we have bus buddies too which are the big 5th grade kids who help make sure we get to our classrooms okay once we arrive.School starts right at 9am on the dot. The first bell rings and we all line up by class to head inside from the playground. My teacher Mrs. Parker is really nice. She makes learning fun games and activities for us. In the morning we have reading group, math lessons, and time for writing stories or journaling. We take breaks for recess and P.E. too so we can run around and get our wiggles out.For lunch, we eat in the cafeteria at 11:30am. I always get so excited to see what the lunch ladies are serving that day. My favorite is pizza day! After lunch, we have recess again to play on the playground and gamefield. That's when I can play tag, tetherball, or just run around being silly with my friends before heading back inside for more learning. In the afternoon, we have science, social studies, computer lab, music, and art. Those are some of my favorite special classes.I love doing fun experiments, learning about history, codinggames on the computer, singing songs, and getting creative with arts and crafts. The afternoon goes by really quickly. Finally, at 3:30pm the final bell rings and it's time to go home!I meet my bus buddy and we walk to the line for my bus number. The ride home is a lot louder and crazier than the morning ride because we're all energized from our fun day at school. When I get home, I have a snack like graham crackers and apple slices, watch a little TV, and play outside before starting any homework I have.Once I finish up my homework, my mom makes dinner for us. We'll eat together as a family and I'll tell them all about my day over macaroni and cheese or chicken nuggets. Afterwards, I get to play for a little while until it's time for my bath and then bed around 8pm. Some nights I even get to pick a bedtime story for my dad to read to me!And that's what a typical day is like for me as a kid in elementary school. It's a lot of fun with my friends, lessons, activities, recess time, and then home to my family at night. Being a kid is hard work but it's the BEST! I hope you enjoyed this inside look at my daily life. Stay awesome!。
TEM-2011:Should private car owners be taxed for pollution? With the development of society, many people can afford a car. As the number of the cars is rising, we are facing some problems. One big problem is the pollution caused by the use of cars. In order to solve this problem, government agencies in some big cities recently suggest that a “pollution tax” should be put on private cars in order to control the number of cars and reduce pollution in the city. For my part, I agree to this viewpoint, and my reasons are as follows: To begin with, cars contribute to the environmental pollution. For example, a lot of big cities in China are now plagued by serious air pollution. Then it is the responsibility of these private car owners to pay for the pollution and they should be taxed. The purpose of collecting environmental pollution tax is to raise the fund, and then utilize the tax revenue lever to protect our environment.Secondly, it is a good way to raise people’s environmental awareness by putting a pollution tax on private cars. If people suffer from the financial loss when making a decision, they will think more about their decision. Then they will consider more when deciding to buy a private car. Consequently, the increase rate of the number of the private cars can be controlled. In a word, it is a very good and necessary attempt to use the means of taxation to treat the pollution. Of course, it must be kept in mind that all people, including the private car owners, should try their best to protect the environment.272words TEM-2010:Should College Students Hire Cleaners?According to a recent report, six university students hired cleaners to clean their dorm and do their laundry every week. Although we have no right to tell them what to do with their money, as a university student myself, I find this practice absurd. For a start, away from our parents, it is in university that we learn to be independent adults. Cleaning the room and doing one’s laundry are the mostbasic living skills. If we always depend on others to take care of us, how can we survive when there is no one to help us? How can we take on any responsibility when we step into society? For another, the practice reflects their flippant attitude towards money. The money they paid for the cleaners probably comes from their parents, who must be very depressed once they know the truth. It also sets a very bad precedent on campus. Other students may follow suit to show the wealth of their families; or worse, they tend to think money can buy them anything in this world, which obviously is wrong. All in all, I think we must do away with this practice. Otherwise, we may never appreciate the good value of money and an independent way of life. The better and sooner we can take care of ourselves, the more proud our parents will be.226word TEM-2009:Will Tourism Bring Harm to the Environment? In recent years, tourism has developed rapidly in China. Many people believe that tourism produce positive effects on economic growth and we should try our best to promote tourism. But what these people fail to see is that tourism may bring about a disastrous impact on our environment. As for me, I'm firmly convinced that too much tourists bring harm to the environment. The bad impact of tourism on the environment has mainly expressed itself in various ways. One way is the process of exploiting a new scenic spot. In order to attract tourists, a lot of artificial facilities have been built, which have certain unfavorable effects on the environment. This process usually breaks the ecological balance of the area. In some mountainous places, trees are being cut down to build hotels for others to see and explore the beauty of the mountains. Then land slides and mud-rock flows come up. Another way the development of tourism has damaged the environment occurs when tourists go to scenic spots. Some tourists don't have the awareness to protect the environment, and ignorantly throw their garbage here and there. Some people even kill the local wildlife to eat, which badly damages the balance of the natural environment. It is wrong to sacrifice the environment for the growth of tourism. We must keep in mind that too much tourists bring harm to the environment. We need to find a balance between satisfying the needs of tourists and reducing to a minimum the pollution they cause.251wordsTEM-2008:The Benefits of VolunteeringVolunteering means being willing to help people in need and make contributions to society for no financial rewards. Needless to say, volunteering is of tremendous benefits to both those in need and the society. Yet, despite the fact that volunteers are not paid for what they have done, serving as a volunteer, I believe, is also beneficial to the volunteers themselves.First, volunteering helps volunteers improve their interpersonal skills. They can understand people better and have better skills to motivate others and to deal with difficult situations in collaboration with people of different personalities in their volunteering work.Besides, volunteering serves as a good opportunity for volunteers to apply their knowledge to practical problems. This is especially useful for sudden volunteers. For instance, students volunteering to assist foreign guests on big occasions like Canton Fair can not only practice their oral English, but also have first hand experience on the latest development of their field. Finally, volunteering satisfies one’s psychological need for respect and self-fulfillment, and it gives the volunteers a sense of achievement. In a word, volunteering helps to improve one’s interpersonal skills, apply one’s knowledge to practice, and give the volunteers a sense of self-fulfillment. It is of great benefits to the society, but it benefits the volunteers even greater.(216 words) TEM-2007: Is It Wise to Make Friends Online?(1)Is it wise to make friends online? (2) People’s views about this issue vary from one to another. (3) Some people think that it is unwise to make friends online while others think that there is nothing wrong with online friends. (4) In my point of view, although online friends cannot be always trusted, the benefits far outweigh the risks. (5) The reasons are mainly as follows:(6) First of all, it is easy and quick to get to know people and make new friends online. (7) We know friends are indispensable in our daily life but they cannot stay with us wherever we go. (8) For many people, especially college freshmen, leaving friends and the security of home for a new place where they don’t know anyone can be overwhelming. (9) With some online chatting tools such as QQ and MSN, they can talk to people they like and find people with common interests easily. (10) In addition, online friends can help broaden our knowledge about different cultures and customs. (11) Chatting with people from different places and social backgrounds is surely an effective way to understand other cultures and develop cross-cultural communication skills. (12) We can also practice our English in speaking and writing.(13) To sum up, making friends online is amazing. In the online global community we can enjoy an active social life with rewarding experience, so it is wise to make online friends.241wordsTEM-2006:Saving Money is a Good Habit(1)Recently the result of a survey conducted by a Beijing information company has shown that the majority of Chinese students think that saving money is a good habit while the rest prefer to use tomorrow’s money. (2) As is seen to me, the principle of “hard work and thrift” is still at work in China, and I absolutely believe that we will profit more from saving money than from spending tomorrow’s money.(3) Through saving money, we’ll be better prepared for our life. (4) There is an old saying that “a penny saved is a penny earned”. (5) In modern society, life is so changeable that we c an’t predict what will happen in the future. (6) So we’d better get prepared for unexpected emergencies. (7) What’s more, psychologically speaking, saving money means controlling money rather than being controlled by money, and it enables us to be freer and more independent.(8) With the money we’ve saved, we don’t need to be too much concerned about the old age or the monthly installment that we owe to the bank.Of course I don’t mean that we cannot loan money to buy a house or for some enjoyment. What I’m saying is that we must think twice before spending tomorrow’s money. (9) To put it in a nutshell, I’m a great believer that saving money is a good habit.230words TEM-2005:My Idea of a University Arts FestivalAn arts festival will no doubt add much to our campus life, since it, like other group activities, will be a stage on which students from different colleges and departments communicate and share their interests. This festival, of course, needs to be well organized, so as to get everyone involved. While all kinds of activities contribute to this great festival, lectures by leading artists in this country will surely make it more successful.First of all, influential ‘stars’ are always an attraction to involve the greatest number of participants. The main purpose of this festival, just as other campus activities, is to add variety to students’ life. Its results and influence need to be measured more by the number of participants than by their artistic level it will display. The more people get involved, the more successful the festival. While afew of the students are busy performing during the festival, lectures permit the majority to sit there listening and asking their ‘masters’ questions.Secondly, face-to-face communication between students, some of whom are potential artists, and the leading artists is always a bridge linking textbook knowledge and practice. University students spend most of their time learning from textbooks or at the library, but knowing how to do is quite different from doing it. The experience of and advice from those practitioners in the fields of music, movie, and painting help university students to think what else they need to learn and what they will do in the future. What’s more, lectures by well-known experts will enhance the influence of the arts festival and the university. Arts festivals are held in many universities in the city, but they are organized in more or less the same way. As far as I know, lectures are seldom part of them. Therefore, it will promote the reputation of our festival, which is a new comer in the city.In a word, it will be beneficial to invite some experts to give lectures. Although more and more people nowadays tend to phone more t han write letters, I still don’t believe phones will kill letter writing in people’s daily communication.People communicate for different purposes and in different ways. Letters, though traditional in a way, help people express their ideas in a more exact way, without the careless tongue slips of telephone conversations. More importantly, it is long held that “To see is to believe.” and communication in written form is considered to be more formal than that done orally. Therefore, letters are always the preferred way of communication when it comes to formal occasions like job application, nailing down a contract or traveling information confirmation. It is not entirely groundless to say that letters are still indispensable nowadays. In a word, letters have their unique features to satisfy certain communication purposes and will therefore never be replaced by phones in people’s daily life. It’s perhaps more appropriate to say that they supplement each other instead of replacing each other.187words TEM-2003:The Importance of Keeping a Good MoodWith the development of modern science, technology and economics, our living standard has reached an ever higher level. But more and more people are living under greater pressure than ever before. As a consequence, people are increasingly suffering from various distortions both physically and mentally. To help out, it is important that everyone keep a good mood today. There are several reasons for my argument. First, a good mood can create high efficiency. When you work with a good mood, you will feel happy and be willing to do some work which used to be boring. On the contrary, a bad mood can make you passive and do things with reluctance. Second, a good mood is beneficial to your health. If you fail to keep a good mood, you will be feeling depressed and fed up, which is apt to cause some psychological diseases. Third, when you have a good mood, other people around you will be influenced. Thus more and more people will feel happy to communicate with you.To sum up, keeping a good mood is very important both for yourself and for the people around you. If you want to have a happy and successful life, please keep a good mood every day.206wordsTEM-2002:The Best Way to Stay HealthyNowadays, the desire for good health is universal. Wherever you are and whatever you do, staying healthy is always important. With the improvement of our living standards, people are attaching more and more importance to their health. However, which do you think is the best way to keep healthy?Different people come up with different views: eating green food, doing outdoor exercises or going to hospital for medical treatment frequently. As far as I am concerned, the best way to keep healthy is to develop a good quality of psychology.According to some surveys, nowadays, most patients are not physically sick but mentally ill. The burden on their shoulders is much heavier than others, so they can’ t step out of the shadow of depression and sadness. They need to release their spirit to the nature.Beside s, if you have developed a good quality of psychology, you’ll become more sociable and thus more willing to play your part in the society. Enrolling forsome keep-fit clubs or joining some travel agency, which by themselves are various versions of physical exercise, will benefit you a lot.As a poem says, youth is not a period of time; it’s a state of mind. Everybody wants to keep young at heart because youth is a symbol for endless energy and passion for living.Keeping a good quality of mind and keeping a sense of humor are really good. Even if you are 80, and you’ll never be old.(254 words) TEM-2001:Travel Broadens the MindNowadays more and more people choose to travel during their holidays, since travel not only brings leisure and joy but also broadens the mind. As for me, not only can it bring me more historical knowledge, but it can also add to my social experience.Take my trip to Mount Tai for example. As is known to all, it’s a magnificent mountain famous for both the beautiful scenery and the splendid cultural heritage. At the very sight of her, my soul was attached to her. I remembered the poem “Wang Yue” written by Du Fu, I remembered many historic events which happened on this land and I also recalled the responsibility to conserve this heritage. As I climbed up the mountain, our guide told me many things I had never got to know before, which of course broadened my scope of knowledge. It was also on this trip that I made many new friends with whom I exchanged my opinions, and that I got acquainted with some information about first aid and package tour. All this indeed added to my social experience. In short, travel offers a good chance for me to open my eyes and enrich my experience while I can enjoy myself. It broadens the mind in a relaxing way.212words TEM-2000:The Importance of Extracurricular ActivitiesPeople have different ideas about how students should spend their school days. Some believe that students should spend the whole day on academic studies. While others believe that extracurricular activities should be a required part of every school day. Both ways have their advantages. But I prefer the latter. The following are my reasons. As a student, our main task is to concentrate on our academic study. We have to attend classes, reading books and doing assignments. Only by working hard can we learn our courses well. But I don’t think we should spend every hour and minute on academic study. A proverb says, “All work and no play make sJack a dull boy.” Without good h ealth and strong body, how can we improve our study efficiency and make great achievements in our academic study? Besides, spending the whole day on academic study may make us exhausted and weak. We should find other meaningful things to do besides studying. For example, doing extracurricular activities can make students’ life more colorful and beneficial. There are various forms of exercise. My favorite one is football. I play football with my classmates for one hour every afternoon. After a day’s hard wor k, how nice it is to stretch my arms and legs! By playing football I’ve got both joy and strength. I always look energetic.Actually doing extracurricular activities doesn’t disturb our study if we make full use of our time. Instead it does help us study more efficiently. We can be good at learning as well as extracurricular activities. So I suggest that students do extracurricular activities along with their academic studies.(277 words)。
1990 – 2011 (TEM4WRITNG)历年英语专业四级作文真题及范文汇总2011—COMPOSITION: Recently government agencies in some big cities have been studying the possibility of putting a "pollution tax" on private cars. The amount of tax private car owners would have to pay would depend on the emission levels, i.e. engine or vehicle size. This has caused quite a stir among the public. Some regard it as an effective way to control the number of cars and reduce pollution in the city. But others don't think so. What is your opinion?Should Private Car Owners be Taxed for Pollution?(200 words)One possible version: Should Private Car Owners be Taxed for Pollution? With the development of society, many people can afford a car. As the number of the cars is rising, we are facing some problems. One big problem is the pollution caused by the use of cars. In order to solve the problem, government agencies in some big cities recently suggest that a “pollution tax” should be put on private cars to control the number of cars and reduce pollution in the city. For my part, I agree to this viewpoint, and my reasons are as follows: Firstly, cars contribute to the environmental pollution. For example, lots of big cities in China are now plagued by serious air pollution. Of course, it must be kept in mind that all people, including the private car owners, should try their best to protect the environment.NOTE-WRITING: During the summer vacation you would like to invite your best friend to your home town.Write a note to him/her, extending your invitation and telling him/her how to get to your hometown. And each of them paid her 60 yuan a month. This has led to a heated debate as to whether college students should hire cleaners. Should College Students Hire Cleaners?(200 words)One possible version: Should College Students Hire Cleaners? It’s a popular phenomenon nowadays that college students would hire cleaners to help do the laundry and clean their dormitories, which has sparked a heated debate among students, parents and teachers. In my point of view, such practice should not be encouraged on campus. To begin with, college students should have the capacity for the basic laundry and cleaning work. Doing family chores is a simple way to cultivate independence. If college students can’t even do the most basic things in their life, how c an they handle big challenges under pressure in the future? In addition, college students should feel shamed of disposing of their parents’ hard-earned money in this way. Since a large proportion of their living expenses and tuition are covered by their parents, hiring cleaners could be considered a waste of money. Finally, I do not agree with those who claim they hire cleaners for the sake of either study or saving time. This is a mere excuse for their sloth and overreliance. In summary, hiring cleaners should be discouraged on campus, where students are supposed to cultivate a sense of responsibility and independence rather than become lazy parasites.NOTE-WRITING: Your good friend, John, is thinking of organizing an end-of-the-term party. However, some people worry that too many tourists may bring harm to the environment, while others don't think so.What is your opinion? Will Tourism Bring Harm to the Environment? (200 words)One possible version: Will Tourism Bring Harm to the Environment? In recent years, tourism has developed rapidly in China. Many people believe that tourism produce positive effects on economic growth and we should try our best to promote tourism. But what these people fail to see is that tourism may bring about a disastrous impact on our environment. As for me, I’m firmly convinced that too much tourists bring harm to the environment. Some tourists don’t have the awareness to protect the environment, and ignorantly throw their garbage here and there. Some people even kill the local wildlife to eat, which badly damages the balance of the natural environment. It is wrong to sacrifice the environment for the growth of tourism. We must keep in mind that too much tourists bring harm to the environment. We need to find a balance between satisfying the needs of tourists and reducing to a minimum the pollution they cause.NOTE-WRITING: Lily, your roommate, is looking for a part-time job in the coming summer vacation. And I firmly believe that volunteering can enhance their ability to tackle problems. As we can see, thousands of college students are flocking to rural areas as temporary teachers. There is no doubt that tons of problems are awaiting: lack of food, poor living conditions, etc. So, they need to take great pains to overcome the problems. For example, they have to get used to the simple food with strong will-power, and prepare lessons in poor light. What's more, students there might not cooperate with them well, so they have to figure out a way to interest them, get them involved so as to teach them more effectively. It must be extremely hard for the volunteers to fit in at the beginning, but as they accumulate more experience, they will work out problems successfully. To sum up, volunteering will not only help those in need, but also enhance volunteers' capability when they face difficulties. Taking all the favorable and unfavorable aspects into account, I stand firmly on the side that we can benefit from making friends online. This point ofperspectivecan be explained in the following tangible reasons.Firstly, communication is unquestionably regarded as an extremely important element in our society. Unfortunately, there are people around us appear to be apathetic and have no idea about how to make an acquaintance with a stranger. They may be too shy or they are afraid of being refused by others. But remember no man is an island entire of itself, every man is a part of the continent. As a consequence, regardless of the fact that whether you like it or not, as individuals, we have to be part of the main. And, internet, as a mass medium, provides us with a chance. Things turn to be quite different because sitting in front of the computer screen, people who are scared to make friends online can talk with others more naturally. Secondly, it is well acknowledged that we can learn a lot from our e-pals. If our friend online were a foreigner, we can practice English with him or her. What’s more, we can have a glimpse of general information of another country, such as the culture, the tradition, the custom or the geography. From what have mentioned above, we can come to the conclusion that making friends online can do us some good. And communication online is having a greater impact on our daily life.NOTE-WRITING: Your classmate, Jimmy, is head of the university’s swimming club. The results have shown that 67 percent of students think that saving money is a good habit while the rest believe that using tomorrow's money today is better, what do you think? (200 words)One possible version: My Idea of Saving MoneyA recent survey, carried out by a Beijing-based information company, has shown that two thirds of the Chinese college students today favor the idea of saving money for later use, whereas quite many others deem it much better to use tomorrow’s money today. Personally, I side with the former.Firstly, saving money can relieve one’s anxiety in case of accidents, disease or other mishaps. As we all know, when one faces such tragedies as fir damage or fatal disease, one would need a large amount of money to survive such difficulties. Secondly, saving money can give one a sense of fulfillment. Since most people work hard every day, they will be quiet happy and satisfied with his “achievement” when they find they have accumulated a large deposit in the bank. Thirdly, saving money allows one to give a helping hand to others. With money available at the moment, one can offer badly needed help to those in temporary difficulty, say, those who are suffering from flood, famine, a car accident, or things like that. Yet taking a loan from a bank is often too costly. Thus, the timely help will be rewarded with gratitude. A dependable friendship will eventually be fostered. To sum up, saving money does have many advantages. Indeed, it is an important aspect of the Chinese conception of virtue. Therefore, let’s start saving money from today on. NOTE-WRITING: You have got to know that your classmate, Michael, is organizing a weekend excursion for the class. While in my opinion typical activities such as performances, forums and lectures on art should be taken into consideration. The festival itself is an image-creating undertaking. Students should be attracted to thefestival at the first glimpse, so the opening ceremony must be of vital importance. Fascinating performances, for instance, pop music, ballet dancing and instrument playing ought to be put on in this section and if possible an orchestra can be invited to add spice to the ceremony. Certainly only performances are too superficial. To help students take a deeper insight of arts, forums and lectures must be held. Forums can be held through BBS owning to the wide accessibility to Internet, whereas professors and experts can be invited to give lectures concerning basic knowledge of art and the role that art plays in daily life. Will Phones Kill Letter Writing?(150 words)One possible version: Will Phones Kill Letter Writing?Nowadays young people choose to phone each other rather writing letters. But even if so, I maintain that letter writing will never be killed by phones, though we have stepped into the Information Age.First, letters can express your subtle feelings. With the increase of the living pace of modern society, we find that there is a lack of communication now. Sometimes when you are speaking to someone that you care and love on the phone, you are so shy that it’s too hard to express any of your feelings towards him/her. Your throat seems to be blocked! At this time, letters will help. Without any embarrassment, you can just write down your deep concern and love on a piece of paper. When you drop the letter into the pillar-box, you will feel what he/she will receive is not only a letter, but also your deepest love. Secondly, letters can be kept as a record of memory, while phones cannot. Just imagine, when you open an old box of letters and read them years later, a lot of beautiful and indelible memories will be brought back to you. What an irreplaceable feeling it is! And I believe, this feeling is something that you can definitely never experience through several phone calls. All in all, letter writing will absolutely survive and even thrive in the Information Age. Phones can never kill it, neither will anything.NOTE-WRITING: Your friend, Jane, has failed in the final exam, and is feeling very unhappy about it. To solve the headache, people have taken a variety of steps, but the result is not satisfying. Here, one way to solve the problem is to set gas thriftier in vehicle.Setting gas thriftier in vehicle not only decreases the consumption of gas which is a major source of air pollution but also slows down the cost of possessing a vehicle which makes millaye price lower. Thereby, all vehicles set gas thriftier will make air have a lower carbon dioxide content deriving from burning gas and coal. The less carbon dioxide, the less。
2023年英语专业四级考试真题作文〔通用11篇〕2023年英语专业四级考试真题作文〔通用11篇〕英语专业四级考试真题答案之写作篇篇1With Intelligent Machines to Do the Thinking, Will Our Brains Get Lazy?In my opinion, artificial intelligence will enable our brains to get more creative. Admittedly, a lot of work has been done by intelligent machines. It seems that the function of people has been weakened and people’s brains have been replaced. As a matter of fact, thanks to intelligent machines, people can expand their creative energy and add new varieties. Simply speaking, when people are free from tedious, repetitive, sometimes even dangerous work, work efficiency will undoubtedly be improved. As a result, people can spare more time to do what they want and pursue what they dream of, which is the premise of creativity. Moreover, creativity stems primarily fromknowledge and thinking. Once people have the opportunity to do more thinking and learning, their intelligence would be enhanced rather than weakened.Although artificial intelligence is the exhibition of people’s high degree of creative power, it should be noted that it is like a double-edged sword. The sensible choice is to embrace its advantages and cope with the problems it has aroused. This is what an advanced and rational society should be like.英语专业四级考试真题答案之写作篇篇2In recent years, with the increasingly fierce petition, more and more people are bearing great pressure from study, work and life. Under great pressure, many people begin to bee sad, hopeless and finally suffer from depression.近年来,随着竞争的日趋剧烈,越来越多的人正承受来自于学习、工作和生活的宏大压力。

Wuzhen is attractive with lots of ancient bridges, Chinese-styled hotels and restaurants. The river system and life styles of Wuzhen stayed nearly unchanged over the past 1,000 years, and therefore Wuzhen became a museum displaying ancient civilization. All of the houses in Wuzhen were built of stone-wood. Residences and markets were constructed along the river by the local people over hundreds of years.
1 ) You should stop smoking now.你现在应该戒烟了。
如要扩展此句,可以这样进行:You should give up smoking now, for the sake of your own health, for the sake of the health of others, for the sake of your family, and for the sake of the entire world. ”为了你自己的健康,为了他人的健康,为了你的家庭,也为了整个世界,你现在应该戒烟了。
2) Doctors think that an active person should have a restful hobby, while a person who sits ata desk should have a lively hobby.医生认为爱好活动的人应该有安静型的业余爱好,而伏案工作的人应该有着活动型的业余爱好。

Failure to follow the instructions may result in a loss of marks.参考样文The Main Difference Between My College Life and My MiddleSchool LifeAs every college student would agree, life in college is different from that in middle sch001.In my opinion.the main difference lies in the fact that we enjoy more independence at college. As far as I‟m concerned,I prefer the college life to the middle school life. For one thing,I live on my own:wash my own clothes, buy my own food, looking myself.I make my daily decisions of my own will. For another,I depend heavily on myself in my study.I have plenty of free time outside the classroom. In order to achieve academic success,I can derive as much from the teachers‟lectures as from my own diligence. In the absence of pressure from both the college and the family,I must have a workableplan of my own.To sum up,I live a quite different life at college from that in my middle school in that I am much more responsible for my own life and study. To those newcomers,1 would suggest they break away from their parents‟ tender care and stand on their own feet.97TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN]Write a composition of about 150 words on the following topic: Some of your classmates think that more pressure from academic studies is not beneficial to students. You either agree or disagreewith them.MORE PRESSURE FROM ACADEMIC STUDIES DOES (OR DOES NO) GOOD TO USYou are to write in three paragraphs. In the first paragraph state clearly what your view is.In the second paragraph, support your view with details. In the last paragraph, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion with a summary or suggestion.Marks will be awarded for content, organization, grammar and appropriacy. Failure to follow the instructions may result in a loss of marks.参考样文More Pressure From Academic Studies Does No Good to Us It is believed one of the main problems with today's education is that too much emphasis is placed on test scores. It has become the most important criterion for college enrollment. A student, however creative and intelligent, will not be admitted into a college, for assignment or in employment competitions if his/her test scores are not high enough. Therefore, students are faced with more and more pressure from academic studies. In my opinion, this is harmful for students' overall development.First, the competition for high scores among students becomesintense. Students find themselves concentrating more on strategies to achieve high scores than on acquiring the knowledge. They will play truant of some subsidiary courses, skip over the substance which will not be tested on. Second, teachers are apt to give their students high scores. As their job is judged mainly by students' performance in terms of scores, some teachers tend to set easy papers to test their students on or narrow down the scope of the exam, even give them the hints to exams, or favor their students with high scores. In fact, times are different. The criteria for good college students are changing now. It is tree that good marks continue to be some students' dream, yet there are a growing number of students who are concerned much more about things other than academic achievement. Job market demands personnel with both intelligent and non-intelligent qualities. Therefore, students today should be better prepared for challenges and competition upon graduation.98TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN]It is now generally accepted that vehicles (cars, trucks, etc.) are a major source of air pollution in cities. You are to suggest only ONE way to solve the problem.Write on ANSWER SHEET ONE a composition of about 150 words on the following topic:ONE WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMYou are to write in three paragraphs. In the first paragraph, state what your suggested way is.In the second paragraph, state one or two advantages of your suggestion. In the last paragraph, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion.Marks will be awarded for content, organization, grammar and appropriacy. Failure to follow the instructions may result in a loss of marks. One Way to Solve the ProblemToo many vehicles, such as cars, tracks, motorcycles, have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, they are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big dries. All the time, the vehicles are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are harmful, causing disease and even death. One possible solution that may reduce air pollution created by so many vehicles is to develop modem public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not have private cars. And the total numberof cars in big cities will reduce greatly. People would find more room to walk, to jog, to perform what they used to do in the open air. Moreover, dirt, noise exhaust, parked cars, and smog would decrease greatly. There is no inherent incompatibility between man in an urban setting and the automobile. But we don't want cars to seize our living space. We take for granted that everyone could enjoy the pleasure of stretching his legs freely, breathing and sniffing the air cheerfully. On the whole, the elimination of air pollution needs the co-efforts from the government, the public and the environments.2000 TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN]Write on ANSWER SHEET ONE a composition of about 150 words on the following topic: College life should be varied and colourful. And extracurricular activities are an important aspect of it. However, at present, there is much room for improvement in this regard. Write an article to the university radio entitled:The Importance of Extracurricular ActivitiesIn the first part of your article you should clearly present your view, and in the second part you should support your opinion with appropriate details. In the last part you should bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or summary. Marks will be awardedfor content, organization, grammar and appropriacy. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in a loss of marks. The Importance of Extracurricular ActivitiesDear Editor,People have different ideas about how students should spend their school days. Some believe that students should spend the whole day on academic studies. Others believe that extracurricular activities should be a required part of every school day. I think both ways have their advantages. But I prefer the latter. As a student, our main task is to concentrate on our academic study. We have to attend classes, reading books and doing assignments. Only by working hard can we learn our courses well. But I don‟t think we should spend every hour and minute on academic study. A proverb says, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” Without good health and strong body, how can we improve our study efficiency and make great achievements in our academic study? Besides, spending the whole day on academic study may make us exhausted and weak. We should find other meaningful things to do besides studying. For example, doing extracurricular activities can make students‟ life more colorful and beneficial. There are various forms of exercise. My favorite one is football. I playfootball with my classmates for one hour every afternoon. After aday‟s hard work, how nice it is to stretch my arms and legs! By playing football I‟ve got both joy and strength. I always look energetic.Act ually doing extracurricular activities doesn‟t disturb our study if we make full use of our time. Instead it does help us study more efficiently. We can be good at learning as well as extracurricular activities. So I suggest that students do extracurricular activities along with their academic studies.Yours Sincerely,T om Smith2001TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN]Travel has become part of our life. And more and more of us have come to know the significance of travel through our own experience. Write on ANSWER SHEET ONE a composition of about 150 wordson the following topic:TRA VEL BROADENS THE MINDYou are to write in three parts. In the first part, state what the topic actually means to you.In the second part, give one or two examples to illustrate your ideas. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusionor a summary.Travel Broadens the MindNowadays, travel has become a popular activity. More and more people have enough money to travel abroad or at home. As a matter of fact, travel has become part of our life. This situation is encouraging, for it not only broadens people's minds to the extend which may not be reached previously, but also relaxes them physically, which help people work out mental problems more actively. One of my best friends is so exclusively engaged in his works that he did not even know what was happening out of his own discipline. What‟s worse, his progress was nearly little. After accepting my advice, he travelled a few cities and towns. The experience gave him a good opportunity of learning. Today, he gets a bumper harvest in his knowledge——the longstanding dream of entering graduate school comes true.In conclusion, travel opens our mind because it enables us to know about the history and culture of a nation. In a way, going on travels is like reading books.2002 TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN] Nowadays people are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of health. And they have different ways to stay healthy. For example, some exercise every day; others try to keep a balanced diet. What do you think is the best way to stay healthy?Write a composition of about 150 words on the following topic: THE BEST WAY TO STAY HEALTHYYou are to write in three parts. In the first part, state what you think is the best way.In the second part, support your view with one or two reasons. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary. The Best Way to Stay HealthyNowadays, the desire for good health is universal. As far as I am concerned, the best way to keep healthy is to develop a good quality of psychology. According to some surveys, nowadays, most patients are not physically sick but mentally ill. The burden on their shoulders is much heavier than others, so they can‟ t step out of the shadow of depressio n andsadness. They need to release their spirit to the nature. Besides, if you have developed a good quality of psychology, you‟ll become more sociable and thus more willing to play your part in the society. Enrolling for some keep-fit clubs or joining some travel agency, which by themselves are various versions of physical exercise, will benefit you a lot.As a poem says, youth is not a period of time; it‟s a state of mind. Everybody wants to keep young at heart because youth is a symbol for endless energy and passion for living. Keep a good quality of mind, or keep a sense of humour, even if you are 80, and you‟ll never be old.2003 TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN] People in modern society live under a lot of pressure, from education, career, or family. So it is important for them to keep a good mood under whatever circumstances. Write on ANSWER SHEET ONE a composition of about 150 words on the following topic:THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING A GOOD MOODYou are to write in three parts. In the first part, state specifically what your view is.In the second part, support your view with one or two reasons. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary.THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING A GOOD MOODPeople in modern society live under a lot of pressure. I see three kinds of pressure working on people today: pressure from education, family and career. It is easy to blame the school for charging too much money, the family members for the heavy burden, the society for the fierce competition. I think people should relax. It is important for them to keep a good mood under whatever circumstances.Long gone are the days when people lived their life with a certain relaxation, sampling a wide variety of activities—film, music, art, poetry. But now, a lot of people suffer from a lot of pressure. They can‟t communicate well with co-workers and family members, and have unbalanced, one-dimensional lives. Some people complain of symptoms of stress, for instance, loss of appetite, a complete sense of exhaustion, insomnia and low morale. Thus have destructive effect on their health. People tend to lose temper easily, and this may interfere personal relationship. What‟s more, a high rate of suicide may warn people of their emotional well-being.To be a healthy person physically and psychologically, one should keep a good mood, according to some psychology experts. Those little things may seem relatively insignificant—reading mystery novels, playing volleyball, spending time with family and friends, maintaining your emotional well-being, getting plenty of rest, going fishing. They can help you keep a good mood.2004 TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN] Nowadays young people tend to phone more often than write to each other. So, some say that phones will kill letter writing. What is your opinion?Write on ANSWER SHEET ONE a composition of about 150 words on the following topic:WILL PHONES KILL LETTER WRITING?You are to write in three parts. In the first part, state specifically what your view is.In the second part, support your view with one or two reasons. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary.Letter Writing Will Not Be Killed Nowadays, young people choose to phone each other rather writing letters. But even if so, I still maintain that letter writing will never be killed by phones, though we have stepped into theInformation Age.First, letters can express your subtle feelings. With the increase of the living pace of modern society, we find that there is a lack of communication now. Sometimes when you are speaking to someone that you care and love on the phone, you are so shy that it‟s too hard to express any of your feelings towards him/her. Phones can never kill it, neither will anything.2005 TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN]The students‟ Union of your university is planning to hold an artsfestival next semester, and they are inviting students to contribute their ideas and suggestions as to how it should be organized or what should be included.Write on ANSWER SHEET TWO a composition of about 200 words on the following topic:MY IDEA OF A UNIVERSITY ARTS FESTIV ALYou are to write in three parts. In the first part, state what you think is the best way.In the second part, support your view with one or two reasons. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary. My Idea of a University Arts FestivalAn arts festival will no doubt add much to our campus life, since it, like other group activities, will be a stage on which students from different colleges and departments communicate and share their interests. This festival, of course, needs to be well organized, so as to get everyone involved. While all kinds of activities contribute to this great festival, lectures by leading artists in this country will surely make it more successful.First of all, influential …stars‟ are always an attraction to involve the greatest number of participants. The main purpose of this festival, just as other cam pus activities, is to add variety to students‟ life. Itsresults and influence need to be measured more by the number of participants than by their artistic level it will display. The more people get involved, the more successful the festival. While a few of the students are busy performing during the festival, lectures permit the majority to sit there listening and asking their …masters‟ questions. Secondly, face-to-face communication between students, some of whom are potential artists, and the leading artists is always a bridge linking textbook knowledge and practice. University students spend most of their time learning from textbooks or at the library, but knowing how to do is quite different from doing it. The experience of and advice from those practitioners in the fields of music, movie, and painting help university students to think what else they need to learn and what they will do in the future. What‟s more, lectures by well-known experts will enhance the influence of the arts festival and the university. Arts festivals are held in many universities in the city, but they are organized in more or less the same way. As far as I know, lectures are seldom part of them. Therefore, it will promote the reputation of our festival, which is a new comer in the city.In a word, it will be beneficial to invite some experts to give lectures. It will get more students to get involved, students will benefit from lectures by experts, and it will draw more public attention to the festival.2006 TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN] Recently a Beijing information company did a survey of student lifeamong more than 700 students in Beijing, Guangzhou ,Xi 'an, Chengdu , Shanghai , Wuhan, Nanjing ,and Shenyang . The results have shown that 67 percent of students think that saving money is a good habit while the rest believe that using tomorrow's money today is better, what do you think?Write on ANSWER SHEET ONE a composition of about 150 words on the following topic:Saving Money or Spending Tomorrow’s Money You are to write in three parts. In the first part, state what you think is the best way.In the second part, support your view with one or two reasons. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary. You should supply an appropriate title for your composition.Saving Money or Spending Tomorrow’s Money Recently a Beijing information company did a survey of student life among more than 700 students in Beijing, Guangzhou, Xi‟an, Chengdu and Shanghai, etc. To my surprise, almost 67 percent of students regarded saving money as a good habit. As far as I am concerned, spending tomorrow‟s money today is a better and wiser option.First of all, spending tomorrow‟s money may improve our living standards and enable us to live a happy and well-to-do life. Still remember the wide-spread story about two old ladies—one is American and the other is Chinese. In her life the American lady spent tomorrow‟s money, enjoying the capacious houses, luxuriouscars and all the modern electrical appliances. Before she died, she had paid off all her loans, and she said she had no regret in her life and she had led a happy life. On the other hand, the Chinese one just saved money, living a hard life. When she died, she finally could afford the luxurious houses with her savings, but she had no time to enjoy it any longer. What a poor lady! What‟s more, spending tomorrow‟s money also plays a significant role in the economy of our country. Since it can spur people to make more money to enjoy life, the consumerism by this trend will undoubtedly drive forward our economy. With the country‟s economy developed, the best beneficiary is our common people. In other word, it is the best way to ensure a life free from poverty and anxiety about future. All in all, with benefits to both our personal lives and the development of the country, spending tomorrow‟s money in advance will be a sensible choice, comparing with a life of saving money all life long which will surely brings us poverty.2007 TEM4 SECTION A COMPOSITION [35 MIN] Nowadays the Internet has become part of people‟s life, and millionof young people have made friends online.Write on ANSWER SHEET ONE a composition of about 200 words on the following topic:Is It Wise to Make Friends OnlineYou are to write in three parts. In the first part, state what you think is the best way.In the second part, support your view with one or two reasons. In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or a summary. Is It Wise to Make Friends Online?Internet, as one of the most important inventions of the twentieth century, has greatly changed our life. Nowadays, more and more young people have many friends online, which, as far as I am concerned, has more benefits than negative efforts.Firstly, Internet enlarges our circle of friends considerably. No other ways of communication enable us to makes friends all around the world as easily as Internet does. As long as we can speak English or other foreign languages, we are able to chat with Americans, Japanese as well as European people, and therefore, to broaden our views by exposing ourselves to various cultures and experiences. Apart from that, we tend to be more honest and straightforward when we make online friends than in real life. Since in the cyberspace, we cannot see others‟faces, we do not have to worry about the negative results brought by direct communication. For instance, we are free to air our opinions on some sensitive issues of the society, and share our little secrets with our online friends with ease. In this way, online friendship gives rise to more openness and less stress or pressure at the same time. While many people argue that making friends online is notstable or even dangerous, I posit that embracing this technological innovation by becoming a true netizen is definitely a wise choice. Will Tourism Bring Harm to the Environment? Some tourists don‟t have the awareness to protect the environment, and ignorantly throw their garbage here and there. Some people even kill the local wildlife to eat, which badly damages the balance of the natural environment. It is wrong to sacrifice the environment for the growth of tourism. We must keep in mind that too much tourists bring harm to the environment. We need to find a balance between satisfying the needs of tourists and reducing to a minimum the pollution they cause.。

Some solutions have been proposed, such as reducing the number of private vehicles, fully promoting public transportation means and using lead-free petrol, etc. However, my advice is that we should use electricity-generated vehicles instead as a solution to the problem. The substitution of petrol with electricity is advantageous for last two reasons. The first reason is that electricity is clean. We know that the use of petrol has proved to be the most serious cause of air pollution. But if electricity is applied, no pollutants will be produced. The second reason is that electricity is almost inexhaustible. Since many ways of generating electricity are available now, the resort to electricity may free us from the worry that the power needed for vehicle use may run out someday. As a result, we will not have to impose restrictions on the use of vehicles. Nor will we need to trim down the number. To sum up, using electricity as power is an ideal solution to the problem of vehicle pollution. It can both keep the air clean and permanently satisfy the needs of vehicle users.April 20Dear George,I have got a ticket for a computer fair. Although different people have different ideas about the advantages and disadvantages of TV ads, I will say the advantages weigh more. The major advantage of advertising on TV lies in its convenience. Advertising on TV can save our time. We can know directly where we can get the goods we need. For example, it is unnecessary for us spend much time trying to find them from one shop to another. Besides, it can also save our money. We can compare the similar products advertised on TV and finally get the best and cheapest one, without going out or traveling a long distance to get what our friends suggested we should buy. What’s more, we can obtain much information about certain products faster than from other media with its beautiful sounds and vivid pictures. From the above-mentioned reasons, we can see it is very convenient for us to know what products are available, how much we should pay form them and where to get them by watching the advertising on TV.March 27 Dear Jimmy,I’m very sorry to hear you are ill these days. No student can afford to neglect the importance of these activities.Evidently, extracurricular activities are important in many ways. Firstly, such activities can enrich the students’ college life. As an effective way of both physical and mental relaxation, extracurricular activities provide students with different opportunities to enjoy themselves and relax themselves. For example, after class students can participate in various ball games or colorful recreational activities. Secondly, such activities can help develop teamwork and cooperation among students. For instance, when involved in group activities, students will realize the limitations of their individual efforts and the strength of group work. Lastly, such activities provide the students with an opportunity to be sociable, which is surely helpful for them to communicate with different people in the future after they graduate from college. In brief, extracurricular activist are of great importance to college students. Only when college students are fully aware of the importance, can they really enjoy their college life and have an all-round development of their physical strength and mentalityOct. 16 Dar George,I just learned form the notice board that our university library is looking for a part-time library assistant who can work at weekends. I know you badly need a part-time job to support yourself. It is said the job is well paid, so I am writing to tell you the news. I think you are the right person for the post. So why not go for an interview?Yours truly,Tom2002The Best Way to Stay HealthyNowadays people are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of health. And they have different ways to stay healthy. For example, some exercise every day while others try to keep a balanced diet. In my view, to do physical exercise regularly is the best way.My suggestion that physical exercise is the best way for people to stay fit is based on the following two reasons. The first reason is that physical exercise can help to reduce on e’s unnecessary fat and weight. Medical experts have reported that the redundancy of fat is one of the causes of various diseases, some of which are even fatal. The second reason is that physical exercise can keep people a good shape of figure. For example, by doing physical exercise, a man can have a strong body and look cool; while a woman can have a slim figure and look pretty. That is why there are so many people doing physical exercise in the parks, on the sports ground and in the various body-building clubs. In short, I believe the best way to keep fit is to do physical exercise. We may bear the following in mind: to the physical exercise very day, you will keep the doctor away.Sept. 12 Dear Jack,I heard form Sam you would sell your walkman. It happened that my Walkman has been broken for almost a month. I’d like to buy yours if possible. So will you let me know about its present condition and the price you would like to charge? Would 30 dollars is a reasonable price?Yours,Simon2003The Importance of Keeping a Good MoodModern people are supposed to endure a lot of pressure, form education, career, or family. There are many tragic stories in the newspapers about people who went insane or some who committed suicide. Those tragedies once again indicate how important it is to keep a good mood.Keeping a good mood under whatsoever circumstances is important in at least two aspects. The first one is that keeping a good mood can help people possess a right attitude towards various difficulties and challenges. Self-confidence is always the best way for people to get out of the difficult situation. For example, some people have failed in business for several times and now they are in deep debt, but they never give up their hope and still believe they have the ability to be successful. This self-confidence will surely lead them to success someday. The second one is that keeping a good mood can help people put disappointment and frustration in the right perspective. Thinking that failure is the mother of success, people can well survive thetemporary blows and look forward to the right future.Through the above analysis, we can realize how important it is to keep a good mood in order to face the pressure or challenges of modern society. When most people are aware of the importance of physical health, we must at the same time remind them of the significance of mental health.Nov. 12Dear Clare,Congratulations on your moving into a new house and thanks a lot for your invitation to your house-warming party this weekend. But I won’t be able to come because I have to be in Beijing on business this Friday and will not return until next Monday. Nevertheless, I hope you will enjoy the party and wish the new house of yours would bring you a wonderful new life.Yours,Mike2004Will Phones Kill Letter Writing?According to a recent survey made by China Daily, about 200 million Chinese are using phones as their daily communication means instead of writing letters to each other. So some people say that phones will kill letter writing. But I don’t think so.My argument that phones will not kill letter writing lies in at least three aspects. First, letter writing as a traditional way of communication still has some advantages over phones. For example, if people want to express something confidential to their close friends, they will turn to letter writing. Another example is that rural workers who are working far way from their hometown are more likely to write letters to their families than to make phone calls for the purpose of saving money. Second, letter writing is more authoritative and formal in some way. For instance, people who are doing business will write formal business letters to do a deal; people who want to recommend or introduce someone to someone else will write letter of recommendation or letter of introduction; people who want to apply for a scholarship will write a letter of application to a certain university, etc. Last but not the least, letter writing is still regarded as a token of friendship among friends. People always write letters to show their everlasting glove and affection. All in all, letter writing is still very popular among people. It is still a good way for people to communicate with each other and it is impossible to be killed by phones. Just do as the saying goes, if you don’t want to be forgotten by your friend, then take up your pen and write him a letter.June 30Dear Jane,This morning Sandy came to tell me you are feeling very unhappy these daysbecause you failed in the final examination of mathematics. Cheer up, my dear friend.Yours truly,Dan05 年The Importance of Extracurricular ActivitiesExtracurricular activities as part of college life are very important for the all-round development of college students. We need to find a balance between satisfying the needs of tourists and reducing to a minimum the pollution they cause.Section BDear Lily,I know you're looking for a part-time job in the coming summer vacation. And I have just seen an ad for a private English tutor for a schoolboy on the campus. Since you're good at English and like teaching, I think this job is very suitable for you. It will help you both earn some money and practice yourselves. So please think about it.。

illustrated in the picture, a pupil is asking his father why he is going to school if his phone already knows everything. It can be known that the pupil lacks a thorough understanding of going to school.Compared with the phone, there are certain things that can be only achieved by going to school. In the first place, going to school endows us with the eXperiences of getting along withothers.Only by contacting people can our interpersonal skills be developed. The phone only provides information in an environment where there is just the phone and you.Secondly, you can consult your teacher face to face about any detail of your question, which cannot be done on your st but not least, school is a place where you can learn to be independent. If you stay with your parents all the health for a student during his/her growth. However, its quite worrying that nowadays some students are not quite psychologically healthy.Undoubtedly, schools nd universities should take greataccount in the responsibilities of students psychological health.Relevant courses and activities should be introduced to students so that they would be more aware of the significance of psychological health and find appropriate ways to maintain ?and improve it.For eXample, there should be a psychological counseling hotline or office for students to turn to when they need some psychological aid.Of course no psychological health can be obtained without the efforts from the students themselves. From my perspective, what they can do is trying to stay positive, optimistic and follow the right guidelines from their schools. To be more specific, they can participate in some activities such as voluntary work to cultivate an opening and caring mind.Meanwhile, harmful impacts from the cyber space should definitely be avoided.英语专四作文真题及范文第4篇Adaptation Should Not Go Too Far From the ClassicsIn recent years, many classics, especially the Four Great Classical Novels, have been adapted in improper ways. For eXamples, in a TV series adapted from Journey to the West,Monkey King ridiculously falls in love with an evil spirit. It has gone too far from the original version in which the uprightMonkey shows no mercy to ant evil spirit.Various reasons account for this phenomenon.Firstly, readers or audiences preference plays a critical role.In this market economy, where there is demand, there is supply. So many playwriters or directors cater for these peoples need.Secondly, some producers want to attract people and make profit. To curb this phenomenon, I think two measures should be taken.First, its necessary to change the way people treat classics. An adapted version that goes too far from the original one is not merely disrespect to the author, but also misleads the readers or the audiences.Second, the concerned authority should check and ban TV series, videos or books that spoofclassics.——6月英语四级考试真题「卷三翻译」3篇英语专四作文真题及范文第5篇Suppose you have two options upon graduation. One is to take a job in a company and the other to go to a graduate school. You are to make a choice between the two.Write an essay to eXplain the reasons for your choice. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.参考范文Upon graduation, virtually all college students willconfront the problem of the career choice, which is truly a tough choice.Students opinions differ greatly on this issue. Some hold that priority should be given to take a job, but others take the attitude that going to a graduate school is the most critical factor influencing their future career choices. As to myself, I prefer the latter view.A higher educational background eXerts a tremendous fascination on a great number of people, with no eXception to me.This phenomenon that the graduates have difficulties in finding job after their graduation can easily be found anywhere in our daily life, especially on campus. On the one hand, with the improved high education of Chinese college students which directly brought the result that there are more and more graduates every year.On the contrary, job vacancies don’t increase that fast.More people, less food, which is the eXact deion of the hard condition. On the other hand, more and more people go on to pursue their master and doctor degree; more and more Chinese oversea students come back to China to hunt better working chances. It is sure that the competition is more and more fierce. Therefore, it is high time that we took effective measures to improve our own competitiveness. That is the secret of success in the future employment market after our graduation.英语专四作文真题及范文第6篇Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled EXcessive Packaging following the outline given below. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.1.目前许多商品存在过度包装的现象2.出现这一现象的原因3.我对这一现象的看法和建议范文:On EXcessive PackagingIn recent years, with the economy growing, all kinds of goods are flowing into our life. The packaging of goods becomes more and more attracting our eyes. However, the problem of eXcessive packaging has aroused people’s wide concern. This phenomenon eXists for a number of reasons. For one thing, the business has seen through the mind of most consumers who are face-saving, for they thought that the more beautiful the packaging of goods is, the best people like. For another thing, eXcessive packaging can make the majority of merchants get high profit for the cheap commodity by improving price.Perhaps the primary reason lies that the form far outweighs the content. In my opinion, it is more advisable to focus on the quality of goods than to decorate its appearance. So, it is urgent that immediate measures should be taken to stop the situation.Only in this way can we reduce unnecessary waste and have a rational and pure shopping condition, making our money worthwhile.UYKUT英语专四作文真题及范文第7篇During the SXSW trade show, which ran from March13 to 15,ofo reportedly received a lot There are many reasons that contribute to this phenomenon.Firstly, producers are profit-driven and they can raise the prices of their products by delicate packaging so as to make much more profit.Secondly, consumers tend to think it more decent to purchase well-packaged products, especially when they want to buy gifts for their friends. The last but not the least, imperfect taws and regulations make it not possible to completely ban excessive packaging. In my opinion, besides the cost for buyers, excessive packaging also results in the waste of resources and environment pollution. To solve the problem, it's necessary to take the following measures.First, laws and regulations must be perfected to restrict excessive packaging.Second, we need to raise consumer's awareness that delicate packaging doesn't equal to high quality.Meanwhile, we need to advocate packaging recycling.[解析] 本文主题是比较贴近社会的热点话题,提示要求学生先指出现象,阐述原因,最后论述白己的观点。
专四作文真题与范文(通用23篇)The importance of extracurricular activitiesCollege is a place to raise all-round intellectuals, which means that life on campus should consist of diverse activities rather than mere academic studies; and that’s why extracurricular activities become important. For one thing, extracurricular activities can provide students with real-life experience in decision-making and problem-solving, through which some specific knowledge or skills are required. For example, the development of leadership skills occurs as students assume ownership for the success of their organization. Such experience will help them more about themselves and point the way to their future career. For another, participation in extracurricular activities will enable students to develop a balance between academic accomplishments and social development. This necessary balance will greatly aid each student to more successfully encounter the challenges of our contemporary society. Moreover, participating in extracurricular activities could also boost students’ development of interpersonal relationship. The awareness of responsibility, cooperation and punctuality, are fostered as each student interacts with other members of their group. In short, extracurricular activities are vital because they could helpstudents explore their interests and talents, teach them to manage their time and know their limits, as well as fit them in with other students.
专四2023年作文真题及范文(通用5篇)For those who first live in a big city, they are confronted with multiple unexpected challenges, which, to some extent, may make or break them. So it is essential to be aware of the challenges. There are two major challenges for them. For one thing, the fast pace of social and professional life would be a hard bone to chew. It would become a struggle and terrible experience, if they cannot get used to the pace of life and work in big cities. For another, how to build a social network in big cities would be also a difficulty for those who want to start a new life in big cities. Without a social network, they would not have the sense of belonging. All in all, from what has been discussed above, the two major challenges are common for people struggling in big cities. The awareness of the potential problems and proper adjustment is necessary for all people going to big cities.Punctuality Is an Important VirtueTo be or not to be punctual is a habit. We often fail to appreciate the influence of habits in our life. The habitual practice of being late is often due to a lack of concern of being on time. In my opinion, being punctual is an important virtue for all of us.Punctuality is essential for people from all walks of life. For students,it is a great you are punctual, you leave a good impression on the teachers and classmates who may offer tremendous help in teamwork. In hospitals, punctuality can make all the difference between life and death. On the contrary, an unpunctual person generally causes inconvenience to person who is always late shows selfishness and thoughtlessness, and he is not a person that most people want for a friend. Furthermore, just as Thomas C. Haliburton said, ^v^Punctuality is the soul of business.^v^ Lateness is a sign of poor time management skills. When you are late for appointments, meetings or work, you show a lack of respect for other people's time as well as your own. If you want to be a successful businessman, being punctual is particularly important. Failing to arrive on time causes much inconvenience to the business and also to the rest of the staff. The failure to keep up an engagement punctually may mean a setback for the business. To sum ups, punctuality being so important in life, it is necessary for everybody to cultivate this habit froth the very beginning.(252 words)专四2023年作文真题及范文第5篇With globalization and industrialization increasing in recently years, more and more farmland and forests are being destroyed in the name of modernization. As a result, a couple of wild animals were killed or driven out of their original habitat. Tribal people who are in a peaceful life gradually lose their own lands. Survival’s Director Stephen Cory putforward his point of view about what conservationist should do. I agree with him.First, tribal people’s rights have to be acknowledged and respected. The conservationists must make it clear that they come to protect the environment rather than destroy it. They are supposed to respect tribal people, including their original habitat, culture and their lifestyles. As a matter of fact, they are not leaders but conservationists.Second, conservationists have to be treated as the best exports at defending their own people is an important part of the nature, and they know a lot about nature. Conservationists must realize it is they who are junior partners. To sum up,only in this way can the situation of conservationists be improved.Should College Students Hire Cleaners? It was recently reported that a few college students hired a help to do some cleaning in their dorm. These students attribute this behavior to their limited spare time. They claim that it can help them to save time and pay more attention to their studies. As far as I am concerned, such a chain of reasoning is seriously flawed, and they are just making an excuse for their laziness. College students should not hire a help for their dormitory cleaning. To begin with, it is not necessary for college students to hire acleaner. As boarding-school students living in tiny dorms, we don’t have much cleaning to do at all. What we need to do every day is just washing or some basic cleaning, which we learned to do in childhood. Undoubtedly we can manage them ourselves. In addition, cleaning up a dorm won’t take much time. Conversely, it may help us to divert our attention away from studies and reduce our pressure. As a result, we don’t need to hire a cleaner to keep our dorms clean.A more important reason why university students should not hire a cleaner is that university education involves both knowledge learning and character building. In the university we should try our best to be more independent and self-reliant. Otherwise, we cannot shoulder greater responsibility when we step into the society. If now we still rely on cleaners for dorm sanitation, how can we earn our own living in the future? Consequently, the most basic thing we should do now is to take care of ourselves and prepare for our future, instead of evading responsibility by hiring a help.In summary, college students should learn to stand on their own feet. Hiring a cleaner is definitely not a wise choice.。
历年专四作文真题及范文2023英文回答:I believe that the ability to communicate in multiple languages is extremely important in today's globalized world. Firstly, being bilingual or multilingual can open up a lot of opportunities in terms of career and personal growth. For example, I have a friend who is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and she was able to secure a job at a multinational company that required someone with language skills in both English and Chinese. This not only gave her a competitive edge in the job market, but also allowed her to communicate with a wider range of people and build stronger relationships with colleagues and clients from different cultural backgrounds.Secondly, knowing multiple languages can also enhance one's cognitive abilities. Studies have shown thatbilingual individuals tend to have better problem-solving skills and are more adept at multitasking. Personally, Ihave found that learning a new language has improved my memory and attention to detail, as well as my ability to adapt to new situations and think creatively.中文回答:我认为在当今全球化的世界中,掌握多种语言的能力非常重要。
专四考试作文真题范文篇一《Should College Students Hire Cleaners?》These days, there's a hot topic floating around: should college students hire cleaners? I gotta say, this is like a spicy drama on campus.Let me tell you about my roommate, Tom. He's the laziest fella I've ever met. One day, he just said out of the blue, "I'm thinking of hiring a cleaner for our dorm. I'm so tired of this mess." We all looked at him like he was nuts. Our dorm wasn't exactly a pigsty, but it was a normal college dorm kind of messy - clothes on the chair, books piled up on the desk, and a few empty snack bags here and there. But Tom's idea got me thinking. College is supposed to be a place where we learn not just academic stuff but also life skills. Cleaning up our own space is one of those basic skills. If we start hiring cleaners while we're in college, what's next? Hiring someone to do our homework? Or even someone to go to class for us?Think about it, when we clean our own dorm, we learnresponsibility. One time, I spilled some coffee on the floor in the dorm. At first, I was like, "Ugh, I'll deal with it later." But later turned into days, and every time I walked by that stain, it was like a little voice in my head saying, "You're a slob." So finally, I got down on my hands and knees, grabbed some cleaning stuff, and scrubbed that stain till it disappeared. And I gotta tell you, I felt so good afterwards, like I had achieved something real.College students hiring cleaners is just a bad idea. It goes against what college is all about - growing up and taking care of our own lives. We should roll up our sleeves, pick up that broom, and clean our own mess.篇二《Is It Necessary to Attend Training Classes?》The whole deal about attending training classes is a real head - scratcher. Is it really necessary?Let me share an experience of mine. I wanted to learn to play the guitar. I thought about just teaching myself with YouTube videos and books. But then I saw this ad for a guitar training class. It promised to turn me into a rock star in no time. So, I signed up.The first day of the class was a circus. There were all kinds of people there, from little kids to middle - aged dudes like me trying to relive their youth. And the teacher, he was this intense guy with long hair that looked like it had seen better days. The thing is, I soon realized that a training class has its good and bad sides. On the plus side, the teacher could correct my hand positions right away. Like, when I was trying to strum, my fingers were all over the place, and he was able to show me exactly how to hold the pick and move my fingers correctly. But then, there were also times when I felt like I was being held back. There were some things that I could have learned faster on my own through trial and error. There were also rules in the class. We had to practice certain chords for a set amount of time every day as homework. And there was this old lady in the class. She was so determined, but she just didn't have a natural ear for music. The teacher had to keep repeating things for her, and I felt like I was wasting my time waiting for her to catch up sometimes.Attending a training class might be necessary for some things. If it's something really complex and dangerous, like learning to drive, having an instructor there is a must. But for other things, like my guitar playing, it might not be as crucial as we think. We can figure a lot of stuff out on our own if we put our minds to it and use the resources available like the Internet.篇三《Is It Better to Travel Alone or with a Group?》Traveling, man, that's one of the best things in life. But the big question is, do you go it alone or tag along with a group?I once went on a trip to a small mountain village. At first, I planned to go alone. I thought it would be so free - just me, my backpack, and the open road. I took this long, crazy bus ride to get there. The bus was so full that I had to stand for most of the way, and my legs felt like they were gonna fall off by the time I got off. But I was excited. When I got to the village, it was really beautiful. I started exploring all by myself. I walked along these little dirt paths, looking at the old houses and the gardens full of all kinds ofstrange - looking plants. But then, I realized that there were some things I didn't know. For example, I had no idea which way led to the best view of the sunset. Then I met this group of travelers. They were from all over, chatting and laughing while exploring. They had a guide with them who knew all the ins and outs of the village. I joined them for a while, and it was like a whole different world. The guide told us stories about the history of the village, about how the old well in the middle of the village had been used for generations. We went to a little local festival together where there were traditional dances and music. It was amazing. But on the other hand, traveling with a group has its downsides. There were times when I wanted to just sit still and watch the clouds roll by for an hour or two, but the group was on a strict schedule and we had to keep moving. And sometimes, not everyone in the group wanted to do the same things. There were these two guys in the group who were always arguing about which place to visit next.Traveling alone gives you ultimate freedom. But traveling with a group gives you company and more knowledge about the place. Ithink it depends on what kind of person you are and what you want out of your trip. If you're a lone wolf and like to discover at your own pace, then go solo. But if you like to share experiences and learn from others, a group might be the way to go.。

But if electricity is applied, no pollutantswill be produced. What happened to you? Are you feeling better now? I really want to see you, but I am tied up with my term paper. I have to finish it before next Friday the deadline set by Prof. Wang. Anyway, I will come to you when my paper is finished. Hope you will recover soon. All the best.Yours,Tom2000The Importance of Extracurricular ActivitiesExtracurricular activities as part of college life are very important for the all-round development of college students. Medical experts have reported that the redundancy of fat is one of the causes of various diseases, some of which are evenfatal. Thinking that failure is the mother of success, people can well survive the temporary blows and look forward to the right future.Through the above analysis, we can realize how important it is to keep a good mood in order to face the pressure or challenges of modern society. When most people are aware of the importance of physical health, we must at the same time remind them of the significance of mental health.Nov. 12Dear Clare,Congratulations on your moving into a new house and thanks a lot for your invitation to your house-warming party this weekend. Just do as the saying goes, if you don’t want to be forgotten by your friend, then take up your pen and write him a letter.June 30 Dear Jane,This morning Sandy came to tell me you are feeling very unhappy these days because you failed in the final examination of mathematics. As a close friend of yours, I just want you not to be so depressed and not to lose heart. You know there is no permanent winner, so don’t’ be so disappointed. Cheer up, my dear friend.Yours truly,Dan05 年The Importance of Extracurricular ActivitiesExtracurricular activities as part of college life are very important for the all-round development of college students. However, I find there are still some students who neglect the importance of these activities.Evidently, extracurricular activities are important in many ways. Firstly, such activities can enrich college life. As an effective way of both physical and mental relaxation, extracurricular activities provide students with different opportunities to enjoy themselves and relax themselves. For example, after class students canparticipate in various ball games or colorful recreational activities. Secondly, such activities can help develop students’sense of teamwork and cooperation with each other. For instance, when involved in group activities, students will realize the limitations of their individual effort and the strength of group work. Lastly, such activities provide the students with an opportunity to be sociable, which is surely helpful for them to communicate with different people in the future after they graduate form college. In brief, extracurricular activities are of great importance to college student. Only when college students are fully aware of the importance, can they really enjoy their college life and have an all-round development of their physical strength and mentality.Section B Note-WritingOct. 16, 2000Dear George,I just learned form the notice board that our university library is looking for a part-time library assistant who can work at weekends. Some tourists don't have the awareness to protect the environment, and ignorantly throw their garbage here andthere. Some people even kill the local wildlife to eat, which badly damages the balance of the natural environment. It is wrong to sacrifice the environment for the growth of tourism. We must keep in mind that too much tourists bring harm to the environment.

经典范文:经典范文:Should private car owners be taxed for pollution? With the development of society, many people can afford a car. As the number of the cars is rising, we are facing some problems. One big problem is the pollution caused by the use of cars. In order to solve this problem, government agencies in some big cities recently suggest that a “pollution tax” should be put on private cars in order to control the number of cars and reduce pollution in the city. For my part, I agree to this viewpoint, and my reasons are as follows:To begin with, cars contribute to the environmental pollution. For example, a lot of bigcities in China are now plagued by serious air pollution. Of course, it must be kept in mind that all people, including the private car owners, should try their best to protect the environment.20XX年专四作文真题Should College Students Hire 10年专四作文真题年专四作文真题: Cleaners? 第三部分:结论部分呼吁结束这种做法,并且呼应主体部分的两点原因,号召大学生尽快建立独立意识和良好的金钱观,让父母对我们的自理能力放心。
经典范文:Should College Students Hire Cleaners?According to a recent report, six university students hired cleaners to clean their dorm and do their laundry every week. Although we have no right to tell them what to do with their money, as auniversity student myself, I find this practice absurd. For a start, away from our parents, it is in university that we learn to be independent adults. Cleaning the room and doing one’s laundry are the most basic living skills. Otherwise, we may never appreciate thegood value of money and an independent way of life. The better and sooner we can take care of ourselves, the more proud our parents will be.专四作文真题:Will Tourism Bring Harm to the Environment? 旅游对环境的影响?)Direction::December 5th is International Volunteers Day.
