There are lots of programs that really liked and watched regularly. In those days I watch mostly news and some selective TV programs. The TV program that made a strong impression on me was a documentary that I watched on Discovery Channel. The TV program was called “The sacrifice of genius” and it was a serial that had around 10 episodes. I watched all of those episodes and enjoyed a lot. This was mainly a documentary serial which emphasized the sacrifice the famous and genius scientists like Marie Curie, Thomas Edison and 8 other scientists.I watched the TV program in my third year of my graduation program. In our local time, the program was broadcasted at 9.00 pm every Thursday. The program showed the life and work of the famous scientists and the sacrifices they made for humans and to make the world a better place. These stories were presented in a fascinating way and were very professionally made. The spectators would have the impression that they were actually watching the real scientists and their works.I have learned so many things about those scientists and learned the sacrifices they made. Those sacrifices were unbelievable and after watching this program, I could not stop thinking about those famous scientist and their supreme sacrifices. This program has helped me thinking in a different perspective that sacrifices for others can be more important thanpersonal achievements like wealth, fame and self-awareness. I later searched about details of those scientists and other famous persons as well and learned many things. I was actually inspired by this program and started learning closely about the people who made the world a place where we no longer need to live in the dark and do not have to fight the wild animals to earn our foods.Similar Cue Card topics that you should be able to answer as well:1. Public service broadcasting, which is generally believed to originate in UK, is a pervasive broadcasting system based on the aim of serving the public interest. Their products contribute to the spread of freedom, pluralism, education prosperity and high quality program production. In this system, educational TV programs are the vital parts. For instance, the Open University program, which is produced by BBC, has beenaired for more than forty years. It is so successful that it set a good example for the other public educational programs. Many British people who don’t have a chance to study in a college have learned knowledge from this program. Because of this program, some of them are able to seek further education and get a college degree, which offers them more opportunities for better jobs. Moreover, the services have provided a competitive relationship with other media services agencies, leading to the increase in service quality of this industry. With the support of the UK government, BBC’s programs grow so fast. They are able to produce independent educational programs without any influence from other forces. That is to say, they can broadcast the truth faithfully. It offers a chance for people to speak freely with a neutral, equitable and objective stand.雅思口语Part2题库:电视教育节目Describe an educational TV program. You should say:what the program iswhat type of program it iswhat contents it hasand explain what you learned from the program.I’d like to talk about a program from my childhood called “How 2”, I believe it’s originally a British TV show that was televised in my country with subtitles. The presenters certainly spoke with a British accent. It’s hard to pin down exactly what type of program it was, I guess a mixture of science and history, with some everyday facts thrown in for good measure. The title itself is a play on words, as the series would show you ‘how to’ do certain things. The show is aimed at kids in middle school or high school. The hosts would routinely do experiments to demonstrate science in action, I remember one in particular where the presenters were trying to pour water out of a bottle in the quickest way possible. The winner had a very good technique whereby she would swirl the water, creating a vortex and causing the liquid to fly out of the bottle far quicker than any of the others’.As you would expect, the show got me interested in science and learning, but it also showed that you could do many experiments yourself and have fun at home, with everyday objects and materials that were easy to get hold of. At school we would need equipment and the teacher would have to supervise us, but at home we could be left to our own devices, with just a bottle and some water to keep us amused.雅思口语成绩如何有效提高雅思考试作为一门出国必备的语言测试,近几年在各国认可程度不断提升。
Television Talent Shows: A Global Phenomenon Reflecting Society's Aspirations In recent years, television talent shows have emerged as a global phenomenon, capturing the imaginations and hearts of millions. From "American Idol" in the United States to "China's Got Talent" in the East, these programs offer a unique platform for ordinary individuals to showcase their extraordinary talents and pursue their dreams of fame and fortune. While the formats and specific details of each show may vary, they share a common thread: the quest for talent and the desire to bring it to the forefront of public attention. The rise of television talent shows can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, they provide a level playing field for aspiring artists and performers from diverse backgrounds. Regardless of age, gender, race, or social status, anyone with a talent and the courage to show it can participate in these competitions. This democratic aspect of talent shows resonates deeply with the public, as it reflects the belief that anyone, regardless of their circumstances, has the potential to achieve success.Secondly, television talent shows tap into the collective aspiration for success and fame that exists within society. Many people dream of becoming famous and successful, but few have the opportunity to realize their dreams. Talent shows offer a glimmer of hope and a chance for these dreams to come true. They give ordinary people a chance to be seen and heard by millions, and potentially launch their careers into the stratosphere. Moreover, television talent shows are highly entertaining and engaging. The excitement of watching contestants compete, the suspense of waiting for thejudges' verdicts, and the emotional rollercoaster ride of seeing dreams come true or crash down around participants make for compelling television. The addition of popular judges and hosts further adds to the appeal of these shows, as they bring their own unique personalities and insights to the proceedings. However, while television talent shows have undoubtedly captivated the public's imagination, they are not without their critics. Some argue that these shows promote aculture of superficiality and materialism, encouragingpeople to pursue fame and fortune above all else. Others criticize the shows for their supposed lack of authenticity, pointing to the fact that many contestants have been coached and groomed for success before even stepping ontothe stage.Nevertheless, television talent shows continue tothrive and captivate audiences across the globe. They offer a unique blend of entertainment, aspiration, andinspiration that is difficult to resist. While they may not be perfect, they do provide a valuable platform fortalented individuals to showcase their skills and pursue their dreams. In the end, television talent shows are not just about talent; they are about the dreams andaspirations that lie within each and every one of us.**电视选秀:反映社会抱负的全球现象**近年来,电视选秀节目已成为全球现象,吸引了数百万人的想象和关注。

范文Describe a quiz TV showWell, it seems that many TV channels like to present some quiz shows to the public, such as “the lucky 52”in CCTV2, “happy dictionary”in CCTV 3, and “great competition of intelligence”in CCTV 1. But here, I’d like to talk about a quiz show from Shenzhen TV channel, which is named as “who is cleverer”.This quiz show brings the adults back to the primary school class, helps them recall those happy memories in the childhood, recollects those forgotten knowledge. It aims to attract audience of primary school students, as well as adults. In this quiz show, a group of primary school students and a team of adults are competing on the same stage, for those seemingly familiar and seemingly simple questions from primary school subjects. It is fun tosee the embarrassment of those adult competitors unable to answer those easy questions, and it is also fun to see those primary students showing off their knowledge in front of their adult competitors. Altogether, there are 10 questions for each competitor, and those adults who can answer right all the 10 questions may have a chance to get the prize: 50 thousand YMB , but if he fail, he has to say to the audience, “wow, I am not so clever as a primary school student”and then he is replaced by another adults.Wow, it’s so funny that after so many years education, almost no adults could win the game and get the prize. And it’s so interesting that this quiz show can bring so many parents and children in front of their TV sets to enjoy their get-together. I like the feeling of watching this kind of TV programs.

Describe a TV drama series you’ve watched(追过的电视剧)You should say:How does it look likeWhere did you see itWhen did you see itAnd how do you feel about this work1.
Okay, so recently I’ve been watching “Power” – a TV series about a guy who comes from a poor neighborhood and makes a lot of money selling drugs – and then he decides that he wants to go legit; he wants to leave his past behind and make a legitimate business with his nightclub Truth. So, the series follows the problems he and his family have to face while trying to get out of the drug business and make a legal living running clubs. Obviously, it’s not as easy as it might sound – because all his old friends still try to involve him in drug trafficking, and there always seems to be some crisis or something which stops the guy from simply making a clean break and starting afresh.A friend of mine recommended the series; I hadn’t heard of it before, but I gave it a try. Watching a couple of episodes, and I kind of liked it. Each episode has good pacing, and the characters are interesting enough to hold your attention. The plot is also quite well written and has just enough twists and turns to keep you wondering what will happen next. Another thing I like about it is that the things that happen are credible; they’re not fantastically impossible scenarios like in some TV series – youcan actually imagine how such circumstances might occur in real life and how these people would deal with them. So, the main characters are a guy called Jaimie and his wife Tasha and their two children, and Jaimie’s ex-drug partner Tommy Egan, who is still involved in the drug business. The other main character is government lawyer, Angela Valdez, who has an affair with Jaimie while the special task force she is a member of is trying to prosecute Jaimie and Tommy for drug related crimes. There are some other characters which recur throughout each episode, people who work in the club and other friends and contacts that appear repeatedly throughout the series. It’s now in season four, although I haven’t watched this current season yet – I watched up until the end of season three, so I guess I’ll catch up with it when I have some more free time. I like watching the episodes all at once rather than one each week. But it’s one of the best TV series I’ve seen for a while – the fact that the time flies past while watching it is always a good sign that it’s enjoyable.雅思口语Part2:喜欢的电视剧Favorite dramaYou should say:What is the name of the TV drama? What type of TV drama is it?What message did it convey? My favorite drama is Prison Break. I watched this drama 3 years ago. The drama has 4 seasons and all of them are quite gripping. The drama is about 2 brothers who break the prison in order to prove their innocence. All the characters in the drama are very good and I can definitely say that people who watch one episode will not be able to leave the seat unless they watch the entire season which quite exciting.我最喜欢的电视剧是《越狱》。
对电视节目看法的英语作文I love watching TV shows because they provide a great way to relax and unwind after a long day. It's nice to just sit back and escape into a different world for a while. Some TV shows are really addictive and I find myself binge-watching entire seasons in just a few days. It's like I can't get enough of the drama and suspense, and I just have to keep watching to find out what happens next.I also enjoy watching reality TV shows because they give me a glimpse into the lives of people from all walks of life. It's fascinating to see how different people live and interact with each other, and it can be really entertaining to watch the drama unfold. One thing I don't like about TV shows is when they rely too heavily on stereotypes and clichés. It's disappointing when a show doesn't take the time to develop its characters and instead just falls back on tired tropes.I appreciate TV shows that tackle important social issues and provoke thought and discussion. It's refreshing to see a show that isn't afraid to push boundaries and challenge the status quo.At the end of the day, TV shows are just a form of entertainment, and I think it's important to take them for what they are. They can be a great way to unwind and escape reality for a while, but it's also important to remember that they're not a reflection of real life.。
