Step1 Lead-in
Get Ss to talk about how to write an article
Collect some information --------- Make some notes------------ write an
article
Step2: Presentation
Ask Ss to go through the articles in Part A and understand each sentence by
asking and answering general the special questions.
Get Ss to go through Simon’s unfinished article (in part B) first then complete
it with the notes in part A individually. Then get some Ss to read out the
finished article and correct the answers with the whole class.

Step3 Practice:

Step4 Presentation
Get Ss to take out the information they found and prepare notes first. If some
Ss cannot find information about an amazing thing, they can use the notes in
Part C.
Step 5 Writing
Get Ss to write an article with their notes. And get some to read their articles
to their classmates.
Step6 Homework
1.Write an invitation letter.
2.Remember the useful vocabulary and phrases.
3.Finish the workbook.
