本文从单元功能整体性的角度出发,进行了一节初中牛津英语译林版welcome的课型探索,尝试通过利用情境教授词汇、引入学生调查、话题讨论等活动来深层次地激发学生的兴趣,并为后面板块的学习积累语言知识。

在日常教学中,老师们处理Welcome to the unit板块常见的做法有两种。
一是把它当做reading的导入环节,花四五分钟的时间讨论一下,然后过渡到reading。
二是把它和单词表结合到一起,主要用于学习单元词汇。
我认为这两种方式都没有发挥出welcome to the unit这一板块的功能,既没有真正激发学生对单元主题的兴趣,也没有为后面单元学习的展开做好铺垫。
鉴于此,我实行了一次welcome整体教学课型的研究课,尝试通过利用情境教授词汇、组织活动、拓展延伸等方式让学生对单元主题有清晰的了解,也让学生积累足够多的背景知识,为后面单元的语言学习做好准备。
以下均以初中牛津英语8B Unit 4 A good read Welcome to the unit为例。
一、教学内容分析本节课的教学内容是牛津初中英语8B Unit4第一课时。
这一单元的主题是A good read.在welcome部分,有6幅图画,代表了不同种类的书籍。
仔细分析教材不难发现这一单元的task部分就是一个调查学生读书类型和阐述自己最喜欢的书籍的活动。
我尝试将这两块和中心词汇的学习有机结合起来,作为welcome的主要教学内容。
