Honorable delegates and distinguished guests,It is a privilege to address this esteemed audience today at the G8 Summit. As we gather together, we are faced with a multitude of challenges, both political and social. However, the most pressing issue that we must address is the need to provide a fair opportunity to ensure global peace and stability. In today's world, we are witnessing a growing disparity between rich and poor, developed and developing nations. This inequality has led to unrest, conflict, and instability. Therefore, we must ensure that every individual, regardlessof their background, has an equal chance to succeed and contribute to society. One of the critical factors in this effort is education. Education equips individuals with the necessary skills to compete in the global economy and provides them with the opportunity to transform their lives and their communities. As such, we must invest in education, particularly in themost disadvantaged areas, to provide a level playing fieldfor every individual.Additionally, we must promote economic growth that is inclusive and sustainable. Economic growth that benefits only a select few breeds resentment and conflict. We must adopt policies that create jobs, encourage entrepreneurship, andspur innovation to create more opportunities for people to support themselves and their families.Furthermore, we must ensure that human rights, democracy, and the rule of law are upheld and enforced. Failure to do so erodes confidence in institutions, undermines good governance, and promotes instability. We must work to eliminate corruption, combat discrimination, and protect the rights ofall people. Finally, we must work to promote a culture of peace and mutual understanding. This requires dialogue, openness, and respect for diversity. We must embrace our differences as strengths and work together to overcome obstacles and build a better future for all.In conclusion, the challenges we face today require us to work together to promote justice, equality, and sustainability. By providing a fair opportunity for every individual to succeed, we can ensure a more peaceful, stable, and prosperous world for the next generation. Let us commit ourselves to this important task, and together, we can build a better world.Thank you.。

Ladies and gentlemen:Good afternoonMy name is Ge Jie, I am a construction budget.as a new employee, I am proud to be part of the Linkage Project of New Energy Engineering Co,Lid,OF CCCC Third Habor Engineering Co,Lid(Shanghai). On behalf of the company, I am delighted to take part in this competition. It is always a pleasure for me to have an opportunity to exchange ideas with our leaders and workersAs we all know, our enterprise is a professional company in the field of offshore wind power.now,I have a question.do you know offeshore wind power ? yes orno ?ok,let me make a explaination ,offshore wind power is a technology that make use of wind turbine to transform wind energy into bining rich wind energy resources and feasible technology , offeshore wind power have become a rapidly developing market in recent years.today the project which I am about to introduce is a offshore wind power project: Zhuhai Guishan Offshore Wind farm ,which was just built by our company. The project is located in Wanshan District, Zhuhai, Guangdong Province Its construction cost is 222.53 million yuan, and the installed capacity of this wind farm is102MW (何时开工,历时多久) The project not only adopts the installation of aeeembled parts technology but also covers two types of wind turbines. This wind farm ,which aims to solve the surrounding island electricity dilemma .is also one of the key projects for the construction of offshore wind power of China Communications Construction Third Habor Engineering Co,Lid,Moreover, it adopts the foundation of steel tubular jacket, and it is also the first structural foundation of this type used in China. There are four key points in the construction of steel tubular jacket:Extremely high requirementsfor welding quality and piling accuracy,Underwater frequency modulation and Underwater grouting. In the process of the construction, we explored the “completed sets of techn ology research and application of offshore wind turbine installation” theory, which has been subject to the appraisal of China Water transportation Construction Association. After the evaluation, the association identifies that some of our products lead the world.During the construction, there was an episode. ten days before the super typhoon “tiange” struck, Mr Dong Jie―manger of the project, accurately predicted that the typhoon would pass through the construction area of the project, according to his many years experience in offshore operations. Therefore, he quickly took measures and avoided asset losses successfully. How amazing! The project also refreshed the record of wind turbine installation twice. The first time was on June 10, 2017 when The first two wind turbines was installed within 17 hours. Shortly after, Under the bad construction environment, two different models were completed within 13 hours which broke the record again. What’s more,This project has won unanimous praise from the owners, supervisors and suppliers, and they expressed the willingness to cooperate with us more. It also laid a solid foundation for CCCC THIRD HARBOR ENGINEERING Co,Ltd. in the southern offshore wind power market and increased the brand influence of “san hang wind power”。
Dear honorable guests, ladies and gentlemen,As we gather here at the G8 Summit, we are faced with a multitude of challenges that demand cooperative solutions. In particular, the global economy and sustainable development have become increasingly intertwined and must be addressed together. In this speech, I will discuss how we can push the global economy forward while also promoting sustainable development.First and foremost, we must recognize that sustainable development is not incompatible with economic growth, but rather a vital component of it. In fact, a sustainable economy is essential for long-term prosperity. As such, it is important for the world's nations to work together to develop and implement sustainable policies that promote economic growth and reduce environmental degradation. One key aspect of sustainable development is investing in renewable energy and conservation efforts, which are drivers of both economic and environmental progress. By increasingreliance on renewable energy sources, we can reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, we can create good-paying jobs in industries like solar and wind power, thereby promoting economic growth. In addition, conservation efforts, such as protecting forests and oceans, can also have economic and environmental benefits, as healthy ecosystems support industries like tourism and fisheries.Another important way to promote sustainable development and economic growth is by promoting access to education and healthcare. Education is key to empowering individuals to engage in the workforce and contribute to economic growth, while access to quality healthcare can improve health outcomes and productivity. Furthermore, investing in education and healthcare can reduce income inequality and promote social mobility, allowing more people to benefit from economic growth. In addition, we must also focus on creating a more equitable and inclusive global economy. This means expanding opportunities for women and minorities, and reducing economic disparities between developed and developing nations. Doing so will not only promote social justice but also economicstability and growth. Increasing trade and investment in developing countries, for example, can help promote economic growth and reduce poverty. Finally, we must recognize that sustainable development requires long-term thinking and planning. It is not enough to focus solely on short-term economic gains, but we must also consider the long-term impacts of our decisions. This means creating policies that balance economic growth with environmental protection and social equity. One promising approach is sustainable development planning, which involves setting long-term goals and targets to measure progress toward a more sustainable future. In conclusion, the challenges of promoting economic growth and sustainable development are considerable, but not insurmountable. By working together at the G8 Summit and beyond, we can create a more sustainable and prosperousfuture for ourselves and future generations. Let us commit ourselves to this important goal, and may this summit lead to meaningful progress towards a better world.Thank you.。
1Someone said "we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite'. I dont know who wrote these words, but Ive always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.We are young. "How to spend the youth?' It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask "what do you understand by the word youth?' Youth is not a time of life, its a state of mind. Its not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. Its the matter of the will. Its the freshness of the deep spring of life.A poet said "To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. Id like to share it with all of you. Lets show our right palms. We can see threelines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, lets make a fist. Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves. We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Dont cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, weve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. Weve learnt that we cant choose how we feel, but we canchoose what about it. Failure doesnt mean you dont have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesnt mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder. As what I said at the beginning, "we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite'. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, lets be the owners of ourselves, and speak out "We are the world, we are the future.'

Thank you. Thank you, very much. Thank you very, very much, President Keohane. Mrs. Gorbachev, Trustees, Faculty, Parents, and I should say, Julia Porter, class president, and certainly my new best friend, Christine Bicknell -- and, of course, the Class of 1990. I am really thrilled to be here today, and very excited, as I know you all must be, that Mrs. Gorbachev could join us.These are exciting times. They're exciting in Washington, and I have really looked forward to coming to Wellesley. I thought it was going to be fun. I never dreamt it would be this much fun. So, thank you for that.More than ten years ago, when I was invited here to talk about our experiences in the People's Republic of China, I was struck by both the natural beauty of your campus and the spirit of this place.Wellesley, you see, is not just a place but an idea -- an experiment in excellence in which diversity is not just tolerated, but is embraced. The essence of this spirit was captured in a moving speech about tolerance given last year by a student body president of one of your sister colleges. She related the story by Robert Fulghum about a young pastor, finding himself in charge of some very energetic children, hits upon a game called "Giants, Wizards, and Dwarfs." "You have to decide now," the pastor instructed the children, "which you are -- a giant, a wizard or a dwarf?" At that, a small girl tugging at his pants leg, asked, "But where do the mermaids stand?" And the pastor tells her there are no mermaids. And she says, "Oh yes there are. I am a mermaid."Now this little girl knew what she was, and she was not about to give up on either her identity, or the game. She intended to take her place wherever mermaids fit into the scheme of things. Where do the mermaids stand? All of those who are different, those who do not fit the boxes and the pigeonholes?" "Answer that question," wrote Fulghum, "And you can build a school, a nation, or a whole world." As that very wise young woman said, "Diversity, like anything worth having, requires effort. Effort to learn about and respect difference, to be compassionate with one another, to cherish our own identity, and to accept unconditionally the same in others. You should all be very proud that this is the Wellesley spirit. Now I know your first choice today was Alice Walker -- guess how I know! -- known for The Color Purple. Instead you got me -- known for the color of my hair! Alice Walker's book has a special resonance here. At Wellesley, each class is known by a special color. For four years the Class of '90 has worn the color purple. Today you meet on Severance Green to say goodbye to all of that, to begin a new and very personal journey, to search for your own true colors. In the world that awaits you, beyond the shores of Lake Waban, no one can say what your true colors will be. But this I do know: You have a first class education from a first class school. And so you need not, probably cannot, live a "paint-by-numbers" life. Decisions are not irrevocable. Choices do come back. And as you set off from Wellesley, I hope that many of you will consider making three very special choices. The first is to believe in something larger than yourself, to get involved in some of the big ideas of our time. I chose literacy because I honestly believe that if more people could read, write and comprehend, we would be that much closer to solving so many of the problems that plague our nation and our society. And early on I made another choice which I hope you'll make as well. Whether you are talking about education, career, or service, you're talking about life -- and life really must have joy. It's supposed to be fun!One of the reasons I made the most important decision of my life, to marry George Bush, is because he made me laugh. It's true, sometimes we've laughed through our tears. But that shared laughter has been one of our strongest bonds. Find the joy in life, because as Ferris Bueller said on his day off, "Life moves pretty fast; and ya don't stop and look around once in a while, ya gonna miss it!"(I am not going to tell George ya clapped more for Ferris than ya clapped for George.)The third choice that must not be missed is to cherish your human connections: your relationships with family and friends. For several years, you've had impressed upon you the importance to your career of dedication and hard work. And, of course, that's true. But as important as your obligations as a doctor, a lawyer, a business leader will be, you are a human being first. And those human connections --- with spouses, with children, with friends -- are the most important investments you will ever make.At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a child, a friend or a parent. We are in a transitional period right now, fascinating and exhilarating times, learning to adjust to changes and the choices we, men and women, are facing. As an example, I remember what a friend said, on hearing her husband complain to his buddies that he had to babysit. Quickly setting him straight, my friend told her husband that when it's your own kids, it's not called babysitting. Now, maybe we should adjust faster; maybe we should adjust slower. But whatever the era whatever the times, one thing will never change: fathers and mothers, if you have children, they must come first. You must read to your children. And you must hug your children. And you must love your children. Your success as a family, our success as a society, depends not on what happens in the White House, but on what happens inside your house. For over fifty years, it was said that the winner of Wellesley's annual hoop race would be the first to get married. Now they say, the winner will be the first to become a C.E.O. Both of those stereotypes show too little tolerance for those who want to know where the mermaids stand. So I want to offer a new legend: the winner of the hoop race will be the first to realize her dream -- not society's dreams -- her own personal dream. And who knows? Somewhere out in this audience may even be someone who will one day follow in my footsteps, and preside over the White House as the President's spouse.I wish him well!Well, the controversy ends here. But our conversation is only beginning. And a worthwhile conversation it has been. So as you leave Wellesley today, take with you deep thanks for the courtesy and the honor you have shared with Mrs. Gorbachev and with me. Thank you. God bless you. And may your future be worthy of your dreams.。

That digital future - and its connection with education - is my topic this afternoon.
Every CEO will tell you that we compete in a world that is changing faster than ever. That it is more competitive than ever and that it rewards success and punishes failure to a greater degree than ever before.
In other words, our world is increasingly, and rightly, a world of merit. In sucha world, the greatest challenge for any enterprise is human capital: how to find it, develop it and keep it.
No one in this room needs a lecture about how talented people in tandem with technology are making our lives richer and fuller.
Everywhere we turn, digital advances are making workers more productive - creating jobs that did not exist only a few years ago, and liberating us from the oldtyrannies of time and distance. This is true in every area except one: Education.
Think about that. In every other part of life, someone who woke up after afifty-year nap would not recognize the world around him.
In medicine, doctors who once diagnosed patients with tools they could fit in their leather bags would be astonished to find their 21st century counterparts using CAT-scans and MRIs.
In finance, brokers who once issued old-fashioned share certificates have been replaced by online brokerages allowing people to trade across the world at any hour of the day.
In my industry, editors who put out newspapers the night before now marvel at the sight of readers getting news delivered to cellphones and tablets.
But not in education. Our schools remain the last holdout from the digital revolution. The person who woke up from that fifty-year nap would find that today's classroom looks almost exactly the same as it did in the Victorian age: a teacher standing in front of a roomful of kids with only a textbook, a blackboard, anda piece of chalk.
My friends, what we have here is a colossal failure of imagination. Worse, it is an abdication of our responsibility to our children and grandchildren - and a limitation on our future. As Stendhal wrote: "Qui s'excuse, s'accuse".
(大意是,为自己推卸责任的时候,同时也是在承认自己的失败)We know the old answer - simply throwing money at the problem - doesn't work. In my own country, we've doubled our spending on primary and secondary education over the last three decades - while our test scores have remained largely flat. The reason this hasn't worked is that more money has fed a system that is no longer designed to educate - it's become a jobs program for teachers and administrators. And yet we Americans wonder why we have cities like Detroit where nearly half the population can't read and the disadvantaged are on a fast-track to failure.
