我不知道的表达beats me前面省略了一个“it”，而beats me的意思为“use to say you don't know something, or cannot understand or explain it.”（被用来表达“你不知道某事”，或者无法理解和解释它）。

后面还给出了两个例句：Beats me why he wants such a big car.我不知道他为什么想要这么大的车。

由此可见，beats me等同于I don't know，它们彼此可以替换。

说beats me的时候，要配合以下动作和表情才算到位：而beats me前省略的“it”，指“这件事情”或“这个问题”，beat 表示“打败”，所以(it) beats me的本质是“这个问题把我打败了”，“我败给了这个问题”，也就是“这个问题把我难倒了”、“我不知道”的意思。

关于我不知道的高考英语口语1. 表示：我不知道，我说不准。
