(1) 飞
[例句] This bird has a broken wing and can't fly. 小鸟折了一只翅膀，飞不起来了。

(2) (飞行员) 驾驶（飞机）
[例句]My uncle can fly a jumbo jet．我叔叔能够驾驶巨型喷气式飞机。

(1) 黑色的

【知识梳理1】
Whquestion:
(1) What is it? 它是什么？(2) What's this?这是什么？
这两个句子都是由what引导的特殊疑问句。用来询问某物是什么。
询问“某物是什么”的句型：What十be动词(is)+人称代词(it)?用“人称代词(it)十be动词(is)十a/an+某物名称（可数名词）(ladybird)”来进行回答。
(1)当it/this所指的对象为可数名词单数时，用“Ht is +a/an+可数名词单数。来回答。例如：
(2)当it/this所指的对象为不可数名词时，用“It is+不可数名词”对其进行回答。例如： It is a butterfly.

情态动词：can
我们已经学过can的用法，本单元我们再对其用法进行复习。 can是情态动词，没有人称和数的变化，其后接动词原形，在句中充当谓语。can．意为“能，会”，表示某人或某物具有某种能力。例如：
I can swim．我会游泳。 The bee can fly．蜜蜂会飞。
【知识梳理3】
连词and
连词的含义：用来连接词、短语、句子等的词叫做连词。
连词在句子中一般不重读。
and是连词中的一员，属于连词中的等立连词，等立连词连接彼此是并列关系的词、短语、句子等。例如：
I'm hungry and thirsty. 我又饿又渴。
hungry (饥饿的) 和thirsty (口渴的) 就是并列的形容词。
and也可以连接并列名词和动词。
Alice and Tom are good friends. 爱丽斯和汤姆是好朋友。 What’s this? It is bread. Alice和Tom 是并列名词。
Read and write the new words. 读一读并写一写新单词。
read和write 是并列动词。

第一个空根据谓语are,可以判断名词是复数；第二个空主语是单数tail，谓语动词用be动词的单数形式is.
