My Fair Lady is a classic musical that has captivated audiences for decades. Based on George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion, the story follows the transformation of Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl, into a refined lady under the tutelage of phonetics professor Henry Higgins. One of the aspects that I found most intriguing about the musical is the exploration of social class and the power of language. Eliza's journey from a lower-class background to being able to pass as a member of the upper class highlights the impact that language and speech patterns can have on how one is perceived in society. It raises questions about the nature of social mobility and the role of education in shaping one's identity. The music in My Fair Lady is simply delightful. The songs, composed by Frederick Loewe with lyrics by Alan JayLerner, are catchy and memorable. From the iconic "Wouldn't It Be Loverly" to the charming "I Could Have Danced All Night," the music adds depth and emotion to the story. The performances by the cast, particularly Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle and Rex Harrison as Henry Higgins, are exceptional. Their chemistry on screen is palpable, and their portrayals of their respective characters bring them to life in a captivating way.Another aspect that stood out to me was the humor in the musical. The witty dialogue and comedic timing of the actors added a lightheartedness to the story, making it enjoyable to watch. The interactions between Eliza and Henry Higgins, in particular, were often filled with humorous exchanges that provided comic relief amidst the more serious themes of the musical.Overall, My Fair Lady is a timeless classic that combines beautiful music, compelling characters, and thought-provoking themes. It is a story that resonates with audiences of all ages and continues to be relevant intoday's society. The musical serves as a reminder of thepower of language and the importance of recognizing the value and potential in every individual, regardless oftheir social background.

另外,歌曲《I Could Have Danced All Night》在电影中也是一首非常动人的曲目。
《My Fair Lady》

1My Fair Lady Movie ReviewMy Fair Lady is an old movie from 1964, but I really liked it! It's about a profesor named Henry Higgins who makes a bet that he can teach a poor flower girl named Eliza Doolittle to speak proper English. At first, Eliza talks in a funny accent that's hard to understand. But Professor Higgins works really hard to teach her how to speak like a fancy lady. It's really funny to see Eliza struggling to learn all the proper ways to talk and act. My favorite part is when she finally gets it right at the horse racing scene and everyone is shocked that she seems like a real princess! I felt so happy for Eliza.Even though the movie is old, the story is timeless about never judging someone based on how they look or talk. Eliza proves that anyone can change if they work hard. The music is beautiful too, like "The Rain in Spain" song. I give My Fair Lady two thumbs up!篇2My Fair Lady is One Swell Movie!Wow, what a super swell movie My Fair Lady is! I just saw it in my English class and I gotta say, I really liked it a whole lot. It's about this flower girl named Eliza Doolittle who talks kind of funny. Her English is not very proper at all. She says things like "Ahyee gooin?!" instead of "Where are you going?" and it makes this man named Professor Higgins really mad.Professor Higgins is this really smart teacher who can tell exactly where people are from just by how they talk. He thinks Eliza's way of speaking is just dreadful. So he makes a bet with his friend Colonel Pickering that he can teach Eliza to speak proper English in six months. If he wins the bet, the Colonel has to pay him. But if he loses, he's the one who has to pay up!At first, Eliza doesn't want anything to do with Professor Higgins and his snooty ways. But then she finds out that speaking properly could get her a job as a lady in a flower shop instead of having to sell flowers on the street. So she agrees to take language lessons from the Professor on one condition - he has to treat her as a lady, not a flower girl.Well let me tell you, those lessons are not easy at all! Professor Higgins works Eliza real hard, making her practice saying words over and over the proper way. Poor Eliza gets so frustrated that she thinks about quitting a bunch of times. But she keeps on trying because she wants that flower shop job so bad.Along the way, there's lots of singing and dancing which I just loved! My favorite song is when Eliza is out on the street singing "Wouldn't It Be Loverly" about how great it would be to live a happy life as a proper lady. Her dream is to have her own little house, charming groomsmen bringing her breakfast, and a nice doorman calling her "Miss Doolittle" mornin', noon, and night. Just listening to her sing that song makes me want all those loverly things too!Another really fun scene is the big horse race, where Eliza gets to show off her new proper English by blending in with all the fancy ladies. She looks so posh in her big hat and dress. At first, I thought for sure everyone would see right through her flower girl ways. But you could have fooled me - Eliza acts like such a natural lady that nobody suspects a thing! I was so proud of how far she had come.Despite all the struggles though, Eliza ends up winning the bet for Professor Higgins. Hooray! She may be a proper lady on the outside now, but she never loses her spunky, never-give-up spirit. And I just love that about her character.Overall, My Fair Lady is such an entertaining, delightful, and uplifting film. The story shows that no matter where you come from or how you speak, you can achieve your dreams through hard work and determination like Eliza. The singing and dancing is spectacular, and the characters are so much fun to watch, especially the hilarious Professor Higgins. I give this classic a A+ and two big thumbs up! Every kid and grown-up should see this marvelous movie - it's one classy act that will stay loverly with me forever.篇3My Fair Lady Movie ReviewI just watched this really old movie called My Fair Lady and I have to say, it was actually pretty good! At first I thought it would be super boring since it's a classic from like a million years ago, but it ended up being really funny and entertaining. The movie is about this kinda rude professor guy named Henry Higgins who makes a bet that he can take a poor flowergirl named Eliza Doolittle and turn her into a proper lady just by teaching her how to speak properly. Eliza has a really strong cockney accent at the start which makes it hard for people to understand her. But Professor Higgins is an expert on speech and phonetics, so he thinks he can coach her to speak like a duchess. It's really funny seeing Eliza at the beginning before she gets all prim and proper. She's feisty and doesn't take any nonsense from anyone, even though she's just a poor flower seller. When Professor Higgins first meets her, she's yelling and cursing up a storm because someone spilled her basket of flowers. Her accent is so thick that half the time you can barely understand what she's saying! But that's part of what makes her character so amusing and likable.Over the course of the movie, we see Eliza go through this huge transformation. Professor Higgins works her to the bone, making her practice proper pronunciation and etiquette for hours on end. At times you really feel bad for poor Eliza because Higgins is so strict and mean to her. But she keeps on persevering because she desperately wants to become a lady and have a better life for herself.Eventually, after what seems like forever, Eliza finally starts to get the hang of it. She learns to speak beautifully and carry herself with grace and poise. The scenes where she attends a fancy ball and dazzles everyone with her newly refined airs are really satisfying to watch. You can't help but feel proud of how far she's come. But the funniest and most memorable part has to be the very last scene at the race course. Eliza has this hilarious outburst where she suddenly slips back into her old cockney dialect and starts shouting and swearing like her former flower girl self again. It's such a great payoff after seeing her struggle so hard to become a "lady." The look on Professor Higgins' face is priceless!Overall, I really enjoyed My Fair Lady. At first I thought the idea of a movie about learning proper English would be really dull. But the characters are so vibrant and likable, and there's a good mix of humor and drama throughout. Audrey Hepburn is absolutely radiant as Eliza and really carries the whole film. I can see why this is considered a classic. Even though it's an older movie, the story and themes are still really engaging and fun to watch unfold. I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of musicals or witty comedies. Just be warned - you might start picking up a British accent after watching it!篇4My Fair Lady Movie ReviewWow, I just watched the coolest movie ever! It's called My Fair Lady and it's about this flower girl named Eliza Doolittle who talks really funny. At first, I thought she was kind of rude because she was yelling at people on the street. But then I felt bad for her because some rich jerks were being really mean to her just because of how she talked. Then this guy named Professor Higgins comes along. He's an expert on all different ways of talking and he makes a bet with his friend that he can teach Eliza to talk proper English like a duchess or princess. Eliza overhears them and gets really mad, but then she decides to take speech lessons from Higgins so she can be a lady. It's really hard for Eliza at first. Higgins is kind of a grump and he's always correcting her and making her say words over and over again. But Eliza never gives up, even when it seems impossible for her to learn all the proper ways to speak. I was rooting for her the whole time!Slowly but surely, Eliza starts sounding more and more like a high-class lady. There's this really funny scene where she'spracticing how to ask if it's going to rain by saying "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain" like a million times. I was cracking up!Eliza works her butt off and eventually learns to speak perfect English. Higgins takes her to this huge fancy ball as a test to see if she can act like a real princess. It's so nerve-wracking because if Eliza messes up, then all her hard work was for nothing. I was biting my nails the whole time! But of course, Eliza nails it and fools everyone into thinking she's a real high-born lady. I did a little cheer when it happened! Even though she succeeded, Higgins is still kind of a jerk to her. I didn't like how he took all the credit and acted like Eliza's transformation was no big deal.My favorite part was at the very end, where Eliza finally stands up to Higgins and he realizes how amazing she is. I was so proud of her for not taking any more of his disrespect. The movie wraps up with Higgins smiling, so I think he learned his lesson about not judging people.Overall, I absolutely loved My Fair Lady! The songs were so catchy and fun, especially "The Rain in Spain" and "I Could Have Danced All Night." The costumes and sets were beautiful too. But most of all, I loved watching Eliza go from a poor flower girl to areal lady through hard work and determination. She's such an inspirational character!I'd give My Fair Lady a million out of 10 stars! It's a classic movie that everyone, kids and adults, should see. Even if you've watched it before, it's so good that you'll want to watch it over and over again. What a delightful, entertaining, and uplifting film!篇5My Thoughts on the Movie My Fair LadyI just saw this really old movie called My Fair Lady and I have to tell you, it was so much fun! It's a musical from way back in 1964, which is like a billion years ago. But it's still really good. The story is about this flower girl named Eliza Doolittle who talks kind of funny with a strong London accent. She's poor and sells flowers on the street. Then one day, she meets this man named Professor Henry Higgins. He's kind of mean at first, but he's an expert on how people talk and the way they say words.Higgins makes a bet with his friend that he can take Eliza, who has terrible manners and speech, and turn her into a proper lady just by teaching her how to talk properly. So he takes her inand starts giving her lessons on speaking like a high-class English woman. It's really hard for Eliza at first, but she works so hard because she wants to be a lady. There's a really funny scene where Eliza is practicing her new posh accent and manners, but she doesn't quite have it down yet. She keeps messing up words and slipping back into her old way of talking. Poor thing just can't get the hang of it! But Professor Higgins keeps drilling her over and over. He's really strict but also pretty funny. After a while of lots of practice, Eliza finally gets good at the fancy English speaking and manners. She gets all dressed up in beautiful gowns and goes to a big party to put her new skills to the test. Everyone thinks she's a real lady because she speaks so properly now. Even the host doesn't realize she used to be just a poor flower girl! There are so many great songs in the musical too. My favorite one is probably "The Rain in Spain" where Professor Higgins sings those tongue-twisty Spanish words to get Eliza to enunciate clearly. It's hilarious watching her try to keep up. Another amazing song is "I Could Have Danced All Night" where Eliza is so excited after the ball because she fooled everyone into thinking she's a lady.By the end of the movie, Eliza has totally transformed on the outside from how she looks and talks. But she also changed on the inside and gained a lot of confidence in herself. She doesn't need Professor Higgins' approval anymore. It's a really inspiring story about someone changing their circumstances through hard work.I loved all the big, colorful dances and costumes too. Everything looked so beautiful and grand, like I was watching a real play on stage. The actress who played Eliza was Audrey Hepburn and she was just wonderful. She's so pretty and elegant, but also funny and spunky as Eliza. My Fair Lady is now one of my favorite classic musicals. I can't believe it's from so long ago because it's just as entertaining as any new movie today. I'll definitely watch it over and over, singing and dancing along. Anyone who hasn't seen it yet is really missing out! It's a must-see for kids and grown-ups. What a delightfully fun, magical film.篇6My Fair Lady Reaction EssayI just watched the coolest movie called My Fair Lady! It's an old movie from like a million years ago (actually it's from 1964but that's pretty old). At first, I didn't think I was going to like it because it's all in English and doesn't have any singing dogs or talking cars. But it turned out to be really fun and interesting! The movie is about this kinda grumpy guy named Professor Henry Higgins. He's an expert on how people speak English properly and he thinks he's just about the smartest guy ever. One night, he meets this poor flower girl named Eliza who talks in a really funny accent. Higgins makes a bet that he can teach Eliza to speak perfect English so she sounds like a fancy rich lady. If he wins the bet, he gets to brag about how great he is at teaching people.Eliza agrees to take lessons from Higgins to improve her English because she's tired of people looking down on her for the way she talks. So she moves into Higgins' house and he starts giving her all these hard lessons. At first, Eliza can barely say anything right and Higgins gets super frustrated with her. He's really mean to her a lot of the time. But eventually, after a ton of practice, Eliza starts talking properly and acting all ladylike. The funny part is that even though Eliza starts sounding fancy, she still doesn't have very good manners because she grew up poor. So she's constantly doing and saying kinda rude things, which drives Higgins crazy! Like at one point she juststarts eating a whole bucket of chocolates with her hands when she's supposed to be acting proper. Higgins' helper guy who is nicer to Eliza thought it was hilarious.Towards the end, Higgins finally manages to pass Eliza off as a royal lady at this super fancy ball. He wins the bet, but then he doesn't really seem to care about Eliza anymore which I thought was pretty jerky of him after all that hard work she did. So Eliza gets mad and decides to not be his student anymore. The last scene is really funny because Higgins is just hanging out at his house when suddenly Eliza shows up all proper again. He thinks she's going to ask if she can come back and be his student. But really she just comes to get her stuff because she isn't putting up with his rudeness anymore. It's like she's showing him that she doesn't need him now that she can speak properly. Then she just leaves and Higgins has this grumpy look on his face like he missed her or something. It was a pretty great ending!Overall, I really enjoyed My Fair Lady a lot. Even though it was an older movie with no aliens or superheroes, the story was super entertaining. Eliza was my favorite character because even though she went through a huge transformation, she showed that she was still the same tough, independent person inside. Iloved seeing her finally stand up to Professor Higgins at the end after he was so snobby to her. The acting and singing was amazing too - that "The Rain in Spain" song was so catchy! I can totally see why this is considered a classic movie. If you haven't seen it yet, you definitely should! Just be prepared for all the English accents.。
Watching this film that I learned a lot.
From the perspective of language learning, actor s’ brilliant performances and their lovely and r ighteous accent let me heard another English. I have been listening to all the previous standard American English and never had these concerns with a strong local color of the "dialect." This is like a man just listen to news network, do not know, like in Sichuan dialect or Cantonese. After interpretation of the actors, I learned the beauty of dialects. It has its lovely. Its language is always simple, straightforward, and warm. Although the standard of English is very different, but it can convey the most real thing through its different. Different from dialects and standard language, like the different from vernacular and classical.
The plot of the story tell me,A person, learn something not only to learn the form, but to learn the charm. To turn it into their thinking, will have learned to master the ultimate. Learn to use, is the truth. Learning something must be interested in it, can we truly adhere to the study continue. If you are not interested, it is very likely give up halfway. Of course, good teachers’ guidance and good partners’ encourage is indispensable.Learning must not only have a suitable way for their own learning, but also have a strong will and long-term persistence. All things are difficult. Elisa is not the standard pronunciation of the beginning, and every means have tried but can not corrected her pronunciation. She just passive acceptance of Higgins' method, practice repeatedly. But Higgins then encouraged her to let her change from passive learning to active learning. She finally broke through the sounds of the storm. Film also tells us that ,a person to become a lady, not only need elegant words and deeds, but also requires a person's independence of thought. When a person is able to self-esteem, he will be respected by others.。
