The present statistics of the General Administration of Customs suggest that China’s foreign trade in January has made a good start on the basis of last year’s rapid growth. The trade volume rose to 95.06 billion USD, a33.1%increase from a year earlier, among which the exports account for 50.77 billion USD, a 42.2% rise over the same period of the previous year, while the imports increased by 24%, up to 44.29 billion USD. According to the statistics of the Customs, in January, China’s general trade exports grew rapidly while the growth of imports has apparently slowed down. But the imports and exports of the processing trade were prosperous, continually keeping the growth momentum. The imports and exports of foreign ventures continue to remain soaring. Its import grew 42.4% and the export grew 30%. The import and export of the collectively-owned, private-owned and other enterprises keep up the growth momentum, among which the export grew 77.3% while the import grew 33.9%. The growth of import and export of the state-owned enterprise was obviously less slowly than those of the two types of enterprises mentioned above. Its export only grew 22.1%, while the import increased 11.1%.
In January, China’s bilateral trade with three main trade partners achieved a comprehensive and rapid growth.
