第二节推理判断题一、细节推断题(2019·全国Ⅱ,B)“You can use me as a last resort(选择),and if nobody else volunteers, then I will do it.”This was an actual reply from a parent after I put out a request for volunteers for my kids’lacrosse(长曲棍球) club.I guess that there’s probably some demanding work schedule,or social anxiety around stepping up to help for an unknown sport. She may just need a little persuading. So I try again and tug at the heartstrings.I mention the single parent with four kids running the show and I talk about the dad coaching a team that his kids aren’t even on...At this point the unwilling parent speaks up,“Alright.Yes,I’ll do it.”I’m secretly relieved because I know there’s real power in sharing volunteer responsibilities among many. The unwilling parent organizes the meal schedule, sends out emails, and collects money for end-of-season gifts.Somewhere along the way,the same parent ends up becoming an invaluable member of the team. The coach is able to focus on the kids while the other parents are relieved to be off the hook for another season.Handing out sliced oranges to bloodthirsty kids can be as exciting as watching your own kid score a goal.Still, most of us volunteers breathe a sigh of relief when the season comes to a close. That relief is coupled with a deep understanding of why the same people keep coming back for more:Connecting to the community(社区) as you freely give your time, money, skills,or services provides a real joy.V olunteering just feels so good.In that sense,I’m pretty sure volunteering is more of a selfish act than I’d freely like to admit. However,if others benefit in the process, and I get some reward too, does it really matter where my motivation lies?24.What can we infer about the parent from her reply in Paragraph 1?A.She knows little about the club.B.She isn’t good at sports.C.She just doesn’t want to volunteer.D.She’s unable to meet her schedule.

细节理解专练(二)——间接信息类A[2019·成都第二次诊断] Author Walter Dean Myers died at the age of 76 after a brief illness. Walter Dean Myers was the author of more than 100 books for children and young adults and received many top awards. The prolific author was loved for his vivid description of the lives of African American children, and for writing books for young people that covered different subjects. “Myers has written about all those subjects with deep understanding and a hard-won, qualified sense of hope,” said Leonard S. Marcus in 2008.He was born in 1937 and was adopted by Florence Dean and Herbert after his mother died while giving birth to his younger sister. They loved him very much and his mother read to him from a very young age. Reading pushed him to discover worlds beyond his landscape. He began writing at an early age. He wrote well in high school and an English teacher recognized this and advised him to keep on writing no matter what happened to him. “It's what you do,” she said.He dropped out of high school at 17 and joined the army. After finishing his service, he entered a dark period in his life. Myers began writing at night to pull himself through that miserable time.In an essay published in The Ne w York Times earlier this year, Myers described how a short story by James Arthur Baldwin helped change the course of his life. “I didn't love the story, but I was lifted by it,” he wrote, “for it took place in Harlem, and it was a story concerned with black people like those I knew. By humanizing the people who were like me, Baldwin's story also humanized me. The story gave me a permission that I didn't know I needed, the permission to write about my own landscape, my own map.”“I write books for the troubled boy I once was,” he wrote, “and for the boy who lives within me still.”
1.When can you go to...?2.Where can...?3.What happened when...?4.What can people do...?5.What do we know about...?6.What is the reason for...?7.What was the reaction to...?8.Who can help you if you want to...?9.Who made a great contribution to...?10.Which number should you call if you...?11.Which tended to be...according to...?12.At which place can people...?13.Which of the following may require...?14.Why does Peter have to...?15.How does...differ from...?
直接信息题题干定位法【典例】(2017·全国1,A 片段)Pacific Science Center GuideVisit Pacific Science Center’s StoreDon't forget to stop by Pacific Science Center's Store while you are here to pick up a wonderful science activity or souvenit to remember your visit. Hungry? Our exhibits will feed your mind, but what about your body? Our cafe offers a complete menu of lunch and snack op-tions, in addition to seasonal specials. The cafe is located up-stairs in Building I and is open daily until one hour before Pa-cific Science Center closes·Rental InformationLockers are available to store any belongings during your visit . The lockers are located in Building I near the Information Desk and in Building 3. Pushchairs and wheelchairs are availa-ble to rent at the Information Desk and Denny Way entrance. ID required.Q : Where can you buy a souvenir at Pacific Science Cen-A. In Building 1.B.In Building 3.C . At the Laser DomeD . At the Denny Way entrance .【解题思路】第一步确定题干中的关键词本题题干的关键词是:where;souvenir第二步根据关键词定位信息句本题信息句是:Don't forget to stop by Pacific Science Center's Store while you are here to pick up a wonderful science activity or souvenir to remember your visit. The store is located(位于)upstairs in Building 3 right next to the Laser Dome答案:B【干扰项分析】A、C、D三项张冠李戴。
位于一号楼的咖啡馆和问询处等均不出售纪念品,排除A项;文章第一部分提到商店紧按着Laser Dome,而不是说在Laser Dome可以买纪念品,排除C项;根据文章第三部分中的“Pushchairs and wheelchairs are available to rent at the Information Desk and Denny Way en trance."可知,在DennyWay的入口处可以租借婴儿车和轮而不能买纪念品,排除D项。
2.间接信息题——断章取义法阅读题干,有针对性的扫描全文,锁定相关词句等信息断章取义法【典例1】(2016·全国I,A 片段)Sandra Day O'Connor(1930-present )When Sandra Day O'Connor finished third in her class at anford Law School, in 1952, she could not find work at a law rm because she was a woman. She became an Arizona state enator(参议员)and,in 1981,the first woman to join the U. Supreme Court .
事件排序题——首尾排除法时间排序题仔细比较选项和原文信息,选择正确或最佳答案准确理解每个选项的意思,寻找与原文信息相关的近义词、同义词和反义词找出第一个发生的动作 找出最后一个发生的动作缩小选择范围,通过排除法确定正确选项典例(2014·四川,C)A schoolgirl saved her father's life by kicking him in the chest after he suffered a serious allergic(过敏的)reaction which stopped his heart.Izzy, nine, restarted father Colm's heart by stamping(踩)on his chest after he fell down at home and stopped breathing.Izzy's mother, Debbie, immediately called 999 but Izzy knew doctors would never arrive in time to save her father, so decided to use CPR.However, she quickly discovered her arms weren't strong enough, so she stamped on her father's chest instead.Debbie then took over with some more conventional ches compressions(按压)until the ambulance arrived.Izzy, who has been given a bravery award by her school, said : " I just kicked him really hard . My mum taught me CPR but I knew I wasn't strong enough to use hands . I was quite scared. The doctor said I might as well be a doctor or a nurse. My mum said that Dad was going to hospital with a big footprint on his chest.""She's a little star," said Debbie. "I was really upset but Izzy just took over. I just can't believe what she did. I really think all children should be taught first aid. Izzy did CPR then the doctor turned up. Colm had to have more treatment on the way to the hospital and we've got to see an expert."Truck driver Colm , 35 , suffered a mystery allergic reaction on Saturday and was taken to hospital , but was sent home only for it to happen again the next day. The second attack was so serious that his airway sweventing him from breathing, his blood pressure dropped suddenly , and his heart stopped for a moment .He has now made a full recovery from his suffering .Q:What's the right order of the events?①.Dlzzy kicked Colm.②.Debbie called 999.③. lzzy learned CPR.④.Colm's heart stopped.A.③①②④B.④②③①C.③④②①D.④③①②【解题思路】第一步速读文章,了解故事情节由上下文可知,lzzy 先前了解了一些CPR 的知识,后来她父亲因过敏反应,心脏停止了工作,Izzy 的母亲Debbie 拨打了999急救电话,然后lzzy 采取了急救措施。
