考试首先应仔细对待口试,不受笔试影响。
惊慌的高考笔试结束后,口试已是最终一关了,肯定要放松自己,已轻松的心情投入口试。
虽然这样做不简单,但肯定要努力做到。
考生通常会有这样的情形:笔试结束后满脸颓丧,认为自己考砸了,于是没有心情参与考试;或是把笔试的阴影带入口试,影响口试的发挥.其实这完全没必要。
考生明白,笔试已经结束,再想也没用,倒不如把精力放在口试上,争取把笔试的损失从口试中补回来;千万不能丢失信念,甚至放弃口试。
其实对报考外语专业与外语相关专业的考生来说,口试成果与笔试一样重要。
因此,放弃口试就等于放弃外语专业的报考,没有口试成果,这类院校是不会录用的。

"五个W"是最常用的方法,即 Who-人物?When-时间?Where-地点?What-事务?How-解决方案。
因为时间有限,所以,遵循这"五个W"原则,可以在最短的时间内理解文章的大意,抓住短文的中心思想。
其次,正确应对即兴陈述。
首先要条理清楚,留意在陈述时,要运用下面一些词,如firstly secondly thirdly etc.或者是on one hand on the other hand 或者是,in the first place in the second place etc. 其次,要避开频繁运用同一个词或词组。
考生在考试的时候,肯定不要频繁运用同样的词组,要不断变换表达方式,例如,I am eighteen or I am eighteen years old or I am an eighteen-year-old boy/girl. 又如,I do not like playing basketball or I dislike playing basketball.再次,要限制语速。
适当的语速,不仅可以给老师留下好的印象,而且还可以为自己争取更多思索的时间。
最终,避开运用长句或困难的句子。

假如有个问题实在答不上来时,千万不要保持缄默,而是要不停地说,可以说些如"Well" "Okay" "How to say" "Let me think." "As far as I remember/know"之类的句子,给考官一个有应变实力的印象,当然这种状况不宜出现过多。
另外,当听不明白老师的问题时,切忌不懂装懂,答非所问。

要用英语请老师重复时可说:"Sorry I cannot catch youmay I beg your pardon" 或"I beg your pardon?"或"Would you please to repeat"或"would you please to say it again?"当遇到不会读的单词的时,考生不要盲目乱读,可以用英语干脆向老师询问:"Sorry I don't know how to pronounce this word would you like to tell me how to read this word?" or "Can you tell me how to pronounce this word."否则,考生会因为单词发音错误,而被扣分。
要留意运用眼睛和手势的运用。
在老师提问的时候,考生要凝视着对方,用眼睛与老师沟通(eye contact),表示你在仔细听老师的提问。
在回答问题时,考生在用英语说的同时借助手势表达出你想表达的思想。
还要用眼睛时常地凝视每一位主考老师。
千万不要低头自语或者只顾回答自己的问题,无视老师的存在。
