在我们的身边，常常会发生一些交通事故。在这些事故中，小到跌痛，大到身亡，这提醒我们每个人：必须时时刻刻注意交通安全！

交通事故其实是可以避免的，只要我们遵守交通规则，就不会发生交通事故。但是有些人就是不遵守交通规则，所以才导致了一起起交通事故。如有些人走路不靠右边走；明明是红灯，见到两边没人，就闯红灯；过马路不看旁边有没有车，就冲过去……虽然这些看起来都是鸡毛蒜皮的小事，但往往就是这些鸡毛蒜皮的小事引起了一些重大交通事故，给家庭、社会造成了很大损失。

那是2005年，一辆接送孩子的车停在我们学校的新港公路旁。车上一个小男孩的奶奶在路边等他，那个小男孩看见了奶奶，大概是一时兴奋，忘记了向左右看有没有车辆，立刻冲出门外去。不幸的事情发生了，“砰”，那个小孩被撞倒在地，当场死亡。这个小孩是怎么会被车撞的呢？就是由于那个小孩下车时，没有看看左边右边有没有车，而是一下字就冲出去。

我曾经听说过这样一则交通安全事故：那是一个晴朗的日子，一个男孩骑着自行车，不知要去哪儿，由于他骑得太快了，差一点儿就撞上了斑马路上的行人。行人劝他不要骑得那么快，可他不听劝告，继续骑他的“飞车”，脸上不时露出得意而急促的神情。这个男孩可能是有什么急事吧？要不然他怎么会骑得那么快呢？但这样很有可能会发生交通事故的，果然不出所料。在一个拐弯的地方，有许多人围在路中央，这不是刚才骑“飞车”的那个男孩吗，他怎么被车撞了？旁观者议论纷纷，“唉！这孩子这可怜啊！刚才不小心撞上了一辆大卡车，连人带车一起飞了出去。”“如果这个孩子车骑得慢一点，如果那个开车的开慢一点，如果……”可是，再多的“如果”也不能使这朵已经完全凋谢的蓓蕾重新开放。这个男孩的父母不知为这个倒在血泊中的孩子操了多少心，可现在只能眼睁睁地看着自己的孩子离去，让父母悲痛万分……

our daily lives. Every day, we hear news about accidents

happening on the roads, and many people lose their lives or

get severely injured. The reasons for these accidents are

numerous, but most of them can be attributed to human error.

One of the main causes of traffic accidents is reckless

driving. Many drivers are in a hurry to reach their

destinations and often disregard traffic rules and

regulations. They speed, overtake dangerously, and fail to

signal when changing lanes. These actions put themselves

and other road users at risk.

Another factor that contributes to traffic accidents is

driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Intoxicated drivers have impaired judgment and reaction
