Teaching aims:Based on the new curriculum standard, the teaching objects are knowledge object, ability object, and emotional object.Knowledge object is grasping the new words and phrases, dance, swim, join, club, play chess, speak English….and learning the sentence pattern “can you…?” “Yes, I can. / No I can’t.” “I want to join….”Ability object: students can develop their skills of listening and speaking by listening to radio and saying in target language.Emotional objects are arousing their interests in learning English, encouraging students to join all kinds of clubs and developing their interests and hobbies.Part4: Teaching key points and difficult points.Based on the objectives, I make the teaching key points and difficult points as follows.Teaching key points include: students can grasp the new words and phrases, understand and use the target language, and master the usage of modal verb “can”.While the teaching difficult points include: students can use the target language to talk about their abilities, and master the modal verb” can”.Part4: Teaching methods and learning methodsI’ll adopt task-based teaching method, together with the communicative teaching method and situational teaching method. I will give students some tasks such as individual work, pair work, and group work to practice new words, phrases and key sentences. So students will attain autonomous learning, cooperative learning and researched learning.Part5: Teaching procedures:Ok, so much for the teaching methods, learning methods and teaching tools. Next comes to my most important part, the teaching procedures.Step1 Warming upI’ll play an English song: Can you swim? I will present new words by doing some actions. And let students t o guess “What is it?” In this way, the action can be taught vividly.Activity2. I’ll design a game, it is called boom game to practice the key words and phrases, for example : I put a boom in the word, and a boom in this word, when I point to the boom words, students shouldn’t read them out. Instead, they should do like this, or they’ll perform a show to the class. In this way, students can remember the words more interesting and easily.Activity3. I’ll let the students do 1a: match the activities with the pictures.Activity4. 我们从上面5个比较典型的例子来学习英语中主语和谓语的一致性
1、作主语的人称代词和谓语动词的一致
句子的谓语动词必须和主语的人称代词在人称和数方面取得一致。
例如:
I am a student.
He is a teacher. 他是一个老师。
You are all for her suggestion. 你全力支持她的建议。
We have come here.
She has a sore throat. 她嗓子疼。
2、作主语的名词和谓语动词的一致
Tom plays football very well. 汤姆踢足球踢得比较好。
Mary is writing a laboratory report test. 玛丽在写一份实验室化验报告。
China's culture has a history of several thousand years. 中国文化已有数千年的历史。
3、谓语动词和表语的关系(只需和主语一致)
主谓一致中表语出现的最多的是be 动词后面的名词或形容词。
我们先看个例子:It ___ (is/ are) the people who are really powerful.真正强大的是人民。
答案是is,在这种类型的例子中,谓语动词是和他前面的主语保持一致的,与后面名词没有关系。
同理:It is that neighboring town that we have been wanting to visit. 我们一直想参观的正是附近的那个城镇。
4、and连接的并列主语的谓语动词形式
1)如果主语是and连接的并列结构,那么谓语动词用复数形式。
如:
Mathematics and Chinese are two main subjects in our studies.
China and Japan are near neighbors separated only by a strip of water. 中国和日本是一衣带水的近邻。
2)如果主语是and连接的表示同一个人和同一事物,那么谓语动词用单数形式。
Time and tide waits for no man.在这里,time和tide两个指代的都是时间,所以谓语动词用单数。
同理:The worker and technician gives us a lecture every week(这位工人技师每星期给我们讲课)。
在这里worker和technician是指同一个人,但是如果technician前面也有the的话,那就是指两个人,谓语动词得用give了。
5、一些容易误用的连接词
either...or、neither...nor和as well as、more than、 rather than、no less than 等连接主语时谓语动词的选择。
1)当两个主语由or, either...or, neither...nor连接时,谓语动词应跟后一个主语的人称保持一致。
Either you or your brother ___ wrong.这里的谓语动词就是is,跟your brother 保持一致。
Neither my mother nor I was there that day.那天我母亲和我都不在那里。
2)但是如果主语后面有as well as, more than, rather than, as much as, no less than等词组时,谓语动词必须跟第一个主语保持一致。
如:
She as well as her younger sister is a doctor of the mental hospital. 她和她妹妹都是那家精神病院的医生。
在这里,is是和she保持一致的,而不是younger sister。
The pilot as well as two of the passengers has miraculously escaped death. 机长和两位乘客奇迹般地死里逃生。
I, rather than my colleagues, am to blame. 是我该受责备,而不是我的同事。
