Teaching ideology
The New English Curriculum advocates quality-oriented education and all-round
learning which pays more attention to Ss’ comprehensive development. Thus teacher
should follow the student-centered principle.
As for reading, since it’s an interactive process, three stage model of teaching
reading should be adopted to help students develop their reading strategies and
increase their reading efficiency.

Analysis of

teaching
material
and the Ss The passage in 2b is mainly about our national treasure---pandas
and the protection of them. As they are a symbol of China,we
teenagers have already had some background knowledge. 2b~2c are
aimed to have students find specific information by scanning in a
reading passage. And 2d is to give some writing practice using the
information they’ve learned in 2b. So in this period, I’d like my
students to express their ideas about pandas and their
understanding of protecting them using the target language freely.
