SOME DEFINITIONS
•主持人：念题，主持。
•参赛者：每组选定1位，代表本组上台答题。
•胜者（参考下一张PPT ）：其他人均被淘汰。
（所在组有奖品）
•求助机会：参赛者有两次求助机会，要求本组提示。
如果不能提示，不浪费机会。
•淘汰：在1分钟内拼不出单词的亮红牌，或拼错，即为淘汰。
主持人在剩余15秒时会亮出黄牌。
RULES
•由主持人念出单词，参赛人提问完毕后开始计时。
可以提问释义(definition)、例句(sentences)。
拼词时，先重复发音，由主持人纠正，然后拼词，最后再念一遍发音。
如果正确，主持人说correct，错误亮红牌。
•基本规则是，当主持人念出一个词，参赛者就要开始把字母口述拼出来。
参赛者可以重新再拼，但已念出的字母或字母顺序不可再更改。
只要参赛者拼错了一个词，他就会立刻被淘汰，直至淘汰到最后一位参赛者为止。

（2）听词拼写环节（适合四、五年级）此环节（题库B）共有单词15个，由外教按顺序读出，拼对一个得20分，拼错不扣分。
注：①每个单词读完后，选手有15秒准备时间，听到响铃（或举黄牌）立即答题，逾时不答题者视为弃权，不得分也不扣分②此环节的单词仅有10个从词库中选取（3）听义拼词环节（适合五、六年级）此环节（题库C）共有单词10个，由外教按顺序读出单词解释，拼对一个得30分，拼错不扣分。

大多数人开始放松对于单词的积累。
然而词汇维系着语音和语法，是构筑语言的基本单位，它是提高学习者语言水平的基石，如果离开了丰富的词汇量的掌握和高效率的词汇学习，是不可能学好英语的，一切必将成为无水之源，无本之木。
可见，英语学习和英语水平的提高，词汇是根本。
因此，为了提高学生对单词学习的兴趣，并提供给学生一个交流英语学习的平台，让学生能再欢笑中学习知识，在竞争中寻找差距，激发学习英语的热情，特此举办本次单词拼写比赛。
3、The objectives:营造和谐校园，增添校园的文化气息，丰富学生的课余生活，检验同学的学习成果，激发学生的学习兴趣，让学生的知识可以在竞争中不断提升。
在学习、练习拼写英文单词的过程中，很多同学的学习兴趣得以激发，并逐渐开始尝试、摸索、总结、运用一些规律和技巧进行备赛，这种学习方式和方法的启蒙将使他们受益终身。
在大赛中，学生找到了展示自我的舞台，培养出更加健康开朗的个性，拓展出逐渐开阔的视野。
除了丰厚的奖励外，同学们更能为自己、为班级、为学院带来了无与伦比的荣誉和声誉。
4、The expectation results:学生开始重视英语学习，养成每日学点英语的好习惯。
促使大家都能很好通过4、6级考试。

3、决赛形式：听音拼写（PPT上显示单词，朗读者读单词，选手拼写）说明：评委认为朗读者读的不标准，可以提出。
选手可以询问意思以及例句。
单词由组织方拟定。
先拟定单词250个，按由易到难分成5份，再拟定难词50个，以防比赛时间过长。
4、活动奖励比赛决出一等奖一名，二等奖二名，三等奖三名。
优胜奖四名。
分别分发奖状以及精美礼品。
9、活动流程1、主持人致开幕词并且介绍到场的评委、嘉宾。
2、主持人介绍比赛的规则评分细则。
4 比赛开始，选手根据比赛前的抽签顺序进行比赛。
5、两轮比赛后，主持人现场邀请观众上台参与拼写单词，并给予奖励。
6、待所有的选手比赛完后，邀请评委代表上台发言，工作人员进行统分。
7、评委发言完后，主持人上台宣布比赛结果（依次由优胜奖到一等奖）8、（待定）上台颁奖。
10、宣传工作：前期宣传：在人流量较大的食堂、教室、宿舍楼等地点张贴海报，利用广播在赛前进行循环宣传，鼓励更多的同学报名参加，并扩大活动的影响力。
把比赛的宣传单发到各班学委手中，及时让同学们了解到相关的情况。
后期宣传：把获奖选手的名单以海报形式贴在宣传栏，以致鼓励。
