Section A
1、go on vacation 去度假
【例句】
Where did you go on vacation? 你去哪里度假了？
Would you like to go on vacation? 你想去度假吗？
2、anyone 任何人
anyone作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。
【例句】
Did you go with anyone? 你和别人一起去的吗？
There wasn’t anyone there. 那里什么人都没有。
3、anywhere 在任何地方
在否定句和疑问句中，anywhere表示“在任何地方”；在肯定句中，表示“无论何处，随便哪个地方”。
【例句】
Did you go anywhere interesting? 你去什么有趣的地方了吗？
I can’t find my pen anywhere? 我在哪里都找不到我的钢笔。
An accident can happen anywhere. 任何地方进了可能发生事故。
4、quite a few 不少，相当多
quite 为副词，修饰a few，a few意思是“几个，一些”，只能修饰可数名词。
【例句】
We took quite a few photos there. 我们在那里拍了不少照片。
I’ve been there quite a few times. 我去过那里很多次了。
5、most of ... ……中的大多数
【例句】
I just stayed at home most of the time to read and relax. 我大部分时间只是待在家里读书，休息。
Most of my friends live abroad. 我的大多数朋友生活在国外。
6、How do you like ... ? 你觉得……怎么样？

How do you like the new movie? 你觉得这部新电影怎么样？
7、There is/was nothing to do ... but to do sth. 除了做某事，什么也不能做。
【例句】
The only problem was that there was nothing much to do in the evening but read. 唯一的问题是，晚上除了读书没有太多事情可做。
He has nothing to do but wait. 他除了等待什么也做不了。
【注】此处but意为“除……以外”
8、seem 似乎，好像，看起来
【例句】
Still no one seemed to be bored. 仍然没有人看起来无聊。
Tom seems (to be) a very clever boy. 汤姆看起来是个很聪明的男孩。
Section B
1、enjoyable 有趣的，令人愉快的
【例】
What activities do you find enjoyable? 你认为什么活动是有趣的？
Skipping is one of the most enjoyable activities. 跳绳是最有趣的活动之一。
2、arrive 到达
arrive in + 大地方（如城市）；arrive at + 小地方（如车站）
【例】
I arrived in Penang in Malaysia this morning with my family. 今天早上我和家人到达马来西亚的槟城。
When I arrived the station, it was 5 o’clock. 我到车站的时候是五点。
3、decide to do sth. 决定做某事
【例】
It was sunny and hot, so we decided to go to the beach near our hotel. 这里阳光好并且热，所以我们决定去宾馆附近的海滩。
She decides to learn medicine. 她决定学医。
4、try to do sth. 尽力做某事 try doing sth. 尝试做某事
【例】
My sister and I tried paragliding. 我和姐姐尝试了滑翔伞运动。
They are trying to solve the problem. 他们正在尽力解决这个问题。

I felt like I was a bird. 我感觉自己像一只鸟。
I feel like a cup of tea. 我想要一杯茶。
6、wonder = want to know 想知道
【例】
I wonder what life was like here in the past. 我想知道过去这里的生活是什么样的。
I wonder whether it is true. 我想知道这事是不是真的。
7、what 引导的感叹句
what 引导的感叹句有两种结构：
（1）What a/ an +形容词 + 可数名词单数形式（+主语+谓语）！
（2）What + 形容词 + 可数名词复数/ 不可数名词（+主语+谓语）！
【例】
What a difference a day makes! 一天的差别真大啊！
What a beautiful girl she is! 她是多么漂亮的一个女孩啊！
What beautiful flowers they are! 他们是多么美丽的花啊！
8、wait 等待 wait for sb./ sth. 等待某人/ 某物
【例】
We waited over an hour for the train because there were too many people. 因为人太多，我们等了一个多小时的火车。
We are waiting for my father to have dinner. 我们在等爸爸吃晚饭。
9、too many 太多
too many 修饰可数名词，too much 修饰不可数名词，意为“太多”。
【例】
They have too many students. 他们有太多学生。
There is too much noise in the city. 城市里有太多噪音。
10、because of ... 因为……
【例】
Because of the bad weather, we couldn’t see anything below. 因为天气不好，我们看不见下面的任何东西。
He stayed in bed because of his illness. 他因病卧床不起。
11、bring 带来，拿来
bring 带来，拿来；take 带去，拿去。
【例】

Can you take these books to the library? 你能把这些书带到图书馆吗？
12、so ... that ... 如此……，以至于……
当that后跟肯定句时，可改写为... enough to ...；当that后跟否定句时，可改写为too ...
to ...句式。
【例】
My legs were so tired that I wanted to stop. 我的腿太累了，以至于我想停下来。
She was so smart that she solved the problem quickly. = She was smart enough to solve
the problem quickly. 她如此聪明，以至于很快就解决了这个问题。
He was so angry that he couldn’t say a word. = He was too angry to say a word. 他如此生气，以至于说不出话来。
13、tell sb. to do sth. 告诉某人做某事
其否定形式为tell sb. not to do sth.，告诉某人不要做某事。
【例】
My classmates told me to keep going, so I went on. 我的同学告诉我要坚持下去，因此我继续前进了。
My teachers always told me to study hard when I was a student. 当我是个学生的时候，我的老师总是告诉我要努力学习。
Lucy told her sister not to jump too high. Lucy告诉她娃娃不要跳得太高。
14、keep doing sth. 继续/ 重复做某事
【例】
Keep working hard, and you will succeed. 坚持努力工作，你就会成功。
