课文主要讲述Simon的爸爸带着Simon和Daming参观联合国大厦。
Daming发现联合国大厦非常雄伟,大厦前飘扬着各会员国的国旗,其中也包括中国。
Simon的爸爸告诉他们,联合国现在有193个会员国。
进入大厦以后,Simon带Daming去看了中国送给联合国的礼物——成昆铁路的象牙雕塑,上面还有一列火车。
Daming想为这美丽的雕塑拍照留念。
