高中生英语作文错题本**The Importance and Effective Utilization of High School English Composition Error Books**In the realm of high school education, the significance of a well-maintained error book in English composition cannot be overstated. This book serves as a valuable tool for students to identify, categorize, and correct their mistakes, thereby enhancing their writing skills and achieving academic excellence. The error book is a compilation of mistakes made by students while writing English compositions. These mistakes range from grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement and tense inconsistencies, to semantic errors, like unclear sentence structure and inappropriate word choice. By recording these errors, students are able to gain a clearer understanding of their weaknesses and areas of improvement. One of the primary benefits of maintaining an error book is the convenience it provides. Students can refer to their error book at any time to review their past mistakesand avoid repeating them in future compositions. This constant self-reflection and revision helps solidify correct writing practices in their minds, leading to fewer errors and more confident compositions. Moreover, an error book promotes active learning. By actively searching for and recording their own mistakes, students are more engaged in the learning process and take ownership of their academic growth. This hands-on approach to learning not only improves their writing skills but also fosters a positive attitude towards learning and a growth mindset. To maximize the effectiveness of an error book, students should follow a few key strategies. Firstly, they should categorize their mistakes, grouping them by type (e.g., grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure). This helps them identify specific areas of weakness and target their revision efforts more effectively. Secondly, students should not only record their mistakes but also provide corrections and explanations.

〔误〕I can help you repair this bike. You will get it after two hours.〔正〕I can help you repair this bike. You will get it in two hours.〔析〕中文经常讲两小时之后来取,两天内会修好,而这个介词在英文中要用in而不要用after。
I arrived in New York. After three days, I found a job in the bank.
2.误〕Three days after he died. 正〕After three days he died. 〔正〕Three days later he died.〔析〕after 与later都可以用来表达一段时间之后,但它们所处的位置不同,after 在时间词前,而later在时间词后。
3.〔误〕She hid herself after the tree. 〔正〕She hid herself behind the tree. I run after him. After finishing my homework, I went to see a film.
4.〔误〕There is a beautiful bird on the tree. 正〕There is a beautiful bird in the tree. 〔析〕树上长出的果实,树叶要用on, 而其他外来的人、物体均要用in the tree.5.〔误〕Shanghai is on the east of China. 〔正〕Shanghai is in the east of China. 〔析〕在表达地理位置时有3个介词:in, on, to。
Introduction:The English exam is a crucial assessment tool for evaluating students' language proficiency and understanding. However, it is inevitable that some students may perform poorly due to various reasons. This essay aims to analyze the common types of incorrect answers in a high school English exam and provide insights into the possible causes behind these mistakes.I. Common Types of Incorrect Answers1. Grammatical ErrorsGrammatical errors are one of the most common mistakes in English exams.

[固定搭配]be about to (do)刚要,即将(一般与 when 连用);be about to do...when...正要......
be about to 和 will be 两者都表示将来。
She is about to have a baby in 8 month.

语气上的区别:两者相比,be about to 的语气要比will be的要强,要肯定一些。

m oe B When C How D Wh not选A。

i the ver to car ________ which he came here the other daA bB inC forD on选C。

’ brain can’t deveoingA what; /B that; thatC /; thatD that; which选B。

Tomissaidabroad,butIdontknowwhatcountryhestudiedin.选项为:A.tohavestudiedB.tostudyC.tobestudyingD.tohavebeenstudying像这道题,我们只要掌握这个句型:sb./sth.issaidtodo或itissaidthatsb./sth...,然后再加上后面的studied说明是过去的事件,所以我们要用不定式的完成式来表达过去就行了,所以该题选A。
Should it snow, the crops would grow better. If sb were to do sth, …If sb should do sth = should sb do, …万一…It's hot for january.Better take off your coat"for"代表"对……来说",因为一月不可能很热,故不能填inHe hid himself behind the door from where he still could see what would happen to his classmates.where指门后,而非门;from 后可以直接加where(记不记得小学学的"where are you from?"~)。
The tower is taller than any building around it.注意“around it”暗含不包括塔的意思;若 building后加s,则应为“the other buildings”It rains more often in Shanghai than in Beijing.in不能漏,注意than前后所比较的成分要相同Beijing has a much larger population than Nanjing (does). He spent much of his time in the nearly forest where he kept a garden.
The car got the medal, but its driver came close to being killed.come close to (to是介词)几乎、接What if the car breaks down? What if ……? 如果……怎么Such is the power of the TV that it can make a person suddenly famous.
The power of TV is such that ……After 5minutes later, they reached what they thought was the place they'd been looking forward to.
①As is known to us all, the Huangshan Mountain is famous for its beauty.②It's known to all that the Huangshan Mountain is famous for its beauty.①句是定语从句,②句为主语从句,其中It为形式主语,且that不可省略。
①He's looking forward to see what's happening.②He's looking forward to seeing you very much.①句中的be looking forward意为向前看,是一般进行时,“to see what's happening”做目的状语。
②句中的looking forward to为固定词组,意为期待着,其to为介词,“seeing you”为宾语。
①It takes a lot of work to build a house.②A new chemical works will be set up soon.①句中的work译为“工作”;②句中的work译为“工厂”,需要注意的是works虽然后面有s但是是单数形式①It's 2 years since I left here.②It's 2 years since I lived here.
His sister left home in 1998, and hasn't been heard of since.
The radio was damaged beyond repair.beyond repair
His bad behavior is beyond a joke. The battery is flat/on charge电池没电了/正在充电The room is 2 metres long and 3 metres wide/broad.The room is 2 metres in length and 3 metres in width.房间长2米宽3米(怎么觉得长应该比宽长才对呐...)Bitten twice, the postman refused to deliver our letters unless we charge our dog.Having been bitten twice, the postman refused to deliver our letters unless we charge our dog.
One…,Another…,the other…On the grass are hundred head of oxen.head做量词,不加sSo small was the mark that I can't see it.So many querstions did they asked that I forgot them.So + adj./adv. + 部分倒装 + that从句表语 + as/though + 主语 + 系动词 + …e.g. Girl though she is, she’s naughtier than any boys.Next come a man in his forties.
It was more like party than a meeting.more like … than … 不如说是…She's no more tall than him. ≠ She's not more tall than him.
(暗指他也不高,后句没此含义)(差不多高)He's a good student, and works very hard; so it's (the same) with her.当两个或以上的条件都是用于一个人时:so + it's + (the same) + with sb.Not only did he see the film, but (also) he bought the DVD.Not only + 部分倒装, but (also) + 陈述句语序.There's no sense(in) doing sth. There's no point(in) doing sth. There's no use/no good(in) doing sth. There's nothing worse than doing sth. It's a waste of sth. doing sth. = Doing sth. is a waste of sth.做sth是浪费sth. e.g. It's a waste of time playing online games.e.g. Upon his coming back home, the telephone rang.Directly he came back home, the telephone rang. The minute he came back home, the telephone rang.Hardly did the telephone ring, when he came back home.No sooner did the telephone ring, than he came back home.On/Upon + ving./n.directly、immediately、instantly.the moment、the minute、the second. No sooner +部分倒装,than + 陈述句语序. + n.rather a + adj. + n.a rather + adj. + n.a very + adj. + n.相当…(adj.)的…(n.)否定词位于句首,句子需要部分倒装(不论主句还是从句)It is I that am singing in the garden.
The players expected there to be more free time.there be 句型的不定式①In the forest we observed some trees of which the leaves were black with disease.②In the forest we observed some trees whose leaves were black with disease.of which 后面必有the, whose后面必没有the。
