非限制性定语从句不能用关系代词that引导；关系代词who，whom，whose，which，as和关系副词when，where均能引导非限制性定语从句。
在非限制性定语从句中，关系代词即使作宾语也不能省略，主、从句之间要用逗号隔开。
译成汉语时，常译为两个并列句。
