寄居蟹又名“白住房”、“干住屋”，它的大名鼎鼎是由于它常常吃掉贝壳等软体动物，把人家的壳占为己有。

寄居蟹有很多不同的外形，如美丽的橙红细螯寄居蟹、皱纹寄居蟹、脚长像草莓一样的草莓寄居蟹等等。

你如果吃过螃蟹，可能会注意到螃蟹的腿上有毛，而寄居蟹的腿上没有毛。

寄居蟹在蟹类里与众不同是因为它把壳当作自己的家，天天背着一个壳，只要它累了，就缩在壳里。

我也好想养一只寄居蟹，在我的再三恳求下，妈妈不胜其烦，终于答应回国后给我也买一只寄居蟹。
