We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.We are young. “How to spend the youth” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth” Youth isnot a time of life, its a state of mind. Its not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. Its the matter of the will. Its the freshness of the deep spring of life.A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. Id like to share it with all of you. Lets show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, lets make a fist. Where is our future Where is our love, career, and life Tell , it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves. We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Dont cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, weve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. Weve learnt that we cant choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesnt mean you dont have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way.Failure doesnt mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder. As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, lets be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”一些人说“我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。

Persuasion is the most complex and the most challenging.(controversial topics, involving values and beliefs; listeners’ own ideas)B. Listeners: mental give-and-take(listeners: assessment on speakers)II. The Target AudienceThe part of the whole audience a speaker most wants to reach with his message. Agree and disagree audience Adapt the speech to the values and concerns of the TADo not exclude other listenersIII. Monroe’s Motivated SequenceMonroe's motivated sequence is a technique for organizing persuasive speeches that inspire people to take action. Alan H. Monroe (Purdue University) 1930swhat creates makes a motivational speech actually motivating.a 5-step method for organizing motivational speeches.1.AttentionGet the attention of your audience using a detailed story, shocking example, dramatic statistic, quotations, etc.E.g. Hey! Listen to me, I have a PROBLEM!2.NeedShow that the problem about which you are speaking exists, that it is significant, and that it won't go away by itself. Use statistics, examples, etc.Convince your audience that there is a need for action to be taken.E.g. Let me EXPLAIN the problem.3.Satisfy.You present your plan and show how it will work. Be sure to offer enough details about the plan.E.g. But, I have a SOLUTION!4.VisualizationTell the audience what will happen if the solution is implemented or does not take place. Be visual and detailed.E.g. If we IMPLEMENT my solution, this is what will happen.5.Action.Tell the audience what action they can take personally to solve the problem.Say exactly what you want the audience to do and how to do it.E.g. You can help me in this specific way. Are YOU willing to help me?Advantage of MMSIt emphasizes what the audience can do. Monroe's motivated sequence emphasizes the action the audience can take. Sample Speech:The Ultimate GiftIV. Persuasive Speeches on Questions of FactA. seek to persuade audience to accept the speaker’s view of the facts on a particular issue.E.g. Will the economy be better or worse next year?B. different from an informative speechIS: give information as impartially as possible ≠ argue for a point of viewPS: persuade the audience to accept the speaker’s view about the informatione.g. In a trial lawyer jury guilt / innocent defendantV. 学术英语演讲稿篇一:英语学术演讲稿Good morning everyone. Welcome to my presentation. My name is …My major is mechanical engineering. The research direction of my team is the robot, so I’ll talk something about applications of the teleoperator robot in our life with two examples. The main contents of my speech are the medical robot and the cooking robot.First of all, we should know what teleoperator robot is. Teleoperatorrobots are mainly used for various operations of non-industrial production, for example, the medical robot, the cooking robot and the cleaning robot. Let’s first see the medical robot. The main characteristics of the medical robot is remote control. The remote control lets people stride across the space-time barrier. It means that the doctor and the patient can be in different places, as is shown in the pictures. The patient is in Strasbourg while the surgeon is in New York. The display screenprovides surgery scene to the surgeon. By operating the main operation terminal and inputting commands, doctors can control the robot to have surgery.Robots can also serve our daily life. Most of us may already know that the robot cooks in the university cafeteria of Beijing Jiaotong University. We all think that it’s very interesting. These pictures show us the process of the robot cooking. First, the chef puts raw materials into the robot, then choses the dish to cook in the display screen. Next, the robot starts to cook. In the cooking process, the chef follows the robot’s voice prompts to add spices. Just three minutes later, the robot pours the cooked dish into the prepared basin. The robot cooking not only takes less time but also uses less gas. It can save fifty percent of gas.As the above examples allude, teleoperator robots provide service for mankind and make our life more convenient. Meanwhile they save us a lot of time and sources of energy. I believe in the future teleoperator robots will be more widely used and provide better service to our life. That’s all. Thank you.篇二:研究生英语演讲稿good noon, ladies and gentlemen. my name is zhangying major in land resourcemanagement. i will talk something about challenges and opportunities in our postgraduate life. all of the postgraduate today have made a choice to have a further study in cumt.our postgraduate life of course will provide us with opportunities to bring out ourcreativity and talent and there is no denying that we lost our chance to work or enterthe society. however, challenges still exist. indeed, facing these two challenges, how can we manage to be a excellent graduatestudent and at the same time to enjoy a valuable and rewarding experience?for me, the solution to the problem lies in do what we should do. as a student we should study hard and in order to relieve our family’s economic burden we shouldpursue a high scholarship so it needs us to be more active in many cases. my topic is “is it necessary to buy a house before getting married”.when we are preparing to get wed, one thing we should decide is where we willlive after the wedding. ideally, this should be taken care of before we get marriedso that we can settle down and start our married life more smoothly.today, getting married in china is not an easy thing. “no house, no marriage”has been very popular in the society. personality and morals lay beyond the top three requirements. however “no house,no marriage” has been a phenomenon different from other countries. next, let’s take a look at the situation overseas. in japan, renting has been a custom for newly married young couples. few can afford to purchase property. up to 67.1 percent of young couples choose to rent, and merely14.3 percent of the group buy a house for marriages.generally speaking, most buyersare older than 40 in japan.in europe, it is reported that there are many people who live in rented houses all their lives and they don’t feel it is a bad thing. in berlin, 70 percent peoplechoose to rent, only 30 percent adults choose to buy a house. journalists have surveyedthat the average age of europeans to buy their first house in belgium is 41-year-old, in france 38 years old, in germany40 years old. finally, they concluded that the average age is 40 years old. for many americans, housing troubles dont pose any obstacle to marriage. theyoften buy a house after the wedding, because more and more people are reconsideringtheir real estate problem, and going back to a more rational mode of consumption.that’s all! thank you for your attention!

Topic:On Multistability in Chaotic Systems
General purpose:T o make more and more people know about chaotic Systems
Specific purpose:Explaining the multistability of Chaotic Systems Thesis:The multistability of the chaotic system is not only beautiful but also important in the certain field .
I. Introduction
A.Method of getting the attention of audience :
Using several interesting pictures to draw out the existence of the chaotic system multistability.
B.Statement of purpose:
To introduce the beauty and value of the chaos system multistability and lead more and more people to study it.
C.Statement of relevance to the audience:
I want to tell us that the multistability of the chaotic system is not only
beautiful but also important in the field of cryptography.
D. Preview of the body of the presentation:
Chaotic systems 、Multistability、Existence Symmetrical beauty、Encryption application
II.Body
A.Main point 1:Existence of multistability in chaotic system
A dynamical system with four quadratic nonlinearities is found to display a butterfly strange attractor. In a relatively large region of parameter space the system has coexisting point attractors and limit cycles. At some special parameter combinations, there are five coexisting attractors, where a limit cycle coexists with two equilibrium points and two strange attractors in di erent attractor basins. The basin boundaries have a symmetric fractal structure. In addition, the system has other multistable regimes where a pair of point attractors coexist with a single limit cycle or a symmetric pair of limit cycles and where a symmetric pair of limit cycles coexist without any stable equilibria.
B.Main point 2:Constructing multistability in chaotic systems Chaotic dynamical systems that are symmetric provide the possibility of multistability as well as an independent amplitude control parameter. The R¨ossler system is used as a candidate for demonstrat-ing the symmetry construction since it is an asymmetric system with a single-scroll attractor. Through the design of symmetric R¨ossler sys-tems, a symmetric pair of
coexisting strange attractors are produced, along with the desired partial or total amplitude control.
III.Conclusion
A.Restatement of purpose:
Multistability poses a threat for engineering systems because the system may unpre-dictably switch into an undesirable state. Even simple chaotic flows can have such multistable states . Systems with a symmetry are especially vulnerable to multistability since any asymmetric attractor is guaranteed to have a twin attractor symmetric with it. However, multistability may have benefits such as allowing one to simulate and study phenomena in the real world where it also occurs.
B.Summary of main points:
Existence of multistability in chaotic system is Very beautiful symmetry. In order to achieve a certain function,we Construct multistability in chaotic systems .
C.Round off:
The world is not the lack of beauty, but the lack of the United States to find the eyes.Chaos theory is a very wonderful existence.I hope there will be more and more people to study it.。
