Y angdex:俄罗斯的百度Y andex对于技术和创新非常看重，并将自己的技术优势用于服务本地消费者最关注的领域，加上尊重和熟悉俄罗斯文化传统，这三大因素使得Y andex的发展非常迅速。

俄罗斯企业在人们印象中不外乎国有能源巨头或军工企业，而在市场竞争激烈的互联网领域鲜有耳闻。

所以当2011年5月24日，俄罗斯最大的搜索引擎公司Y andex在美国纳斯达克成功IPO，融资14.3亿美元，创下2004年谷歌IPO以来美国股市互联网IPO融资最高金额。

Y andex的成功与一个人密不可分――阿卡迪•沃罗兹。

1984年，24岁的俄罗斯数学家阿卡迪•沃罗兹第一次接触到电脑，当时整个苏联的电脑数量不过十几台。

20多年过去了，沃罗兹已成为俄罗斯互联网领域炙手可热的人物。

沃罗兹真正开始从事搜索领域的工作始于1989年。

之后不久，他洞察到搜索技术的重要价值，在1990年建立了一家名称与他名字类似的公司――阿卡迪亚，专门开发搜索软件。

沃罗兹早期的成就主要是应用于专利、俄罗斯古典文学及圣经的电子搜索程序。

沃罗兹曾与他人合伙创建了几个成功的IT企业，其中既包括俄罗斯无线网络技术提供商InfiNet Wireless，也包括俄罗斯最大的网络和电信设备分销商CompTek。

1993年，沃罗兹将阿卡迪亚公司并入其创办的CompTek公司，并成为后者的CEO。
