《新概念英语》第二册学习笔记11 10课第11课One good turn deserves another1、One good turn deserves anotherturn 这里指行为,another 指代另一个好的行为deserve 值得2、He gets a good salary.salary 按月发的薪水,一般指白领的工资。
wage 按星期或者按天发的工资,一般指蓝领的工资。
通常用复数形式wages.3、He always borrows money form his friends and never pays it back.pay back 归还还钱pay back the money, 用代词it 的话,要放在中间,pay it back.课文中另一句So now you can pay for my dinner.此句中pay 是不及物动词,pay for sth. 为什么东西而付账。
另外,pay off 还清pay phone 公用的付费电话overtime pay 加班费,这里pay 是名词4、Tony saw me and came and sat at the same table.sat at the same table 坐到同一张桌子旁边,注意用介词at5、I was having dinner at a restaurant.Tony worked in a lawyer's office years ago, but he is now working at a bank.注意句子中介词at 和in 的用法,是习惯用法,需要特别记忆。
第10课Not for jazz1、Our clavichord is kept in the living room.keep 此句中意思是指习惯上把什么东西存放在什么地方。
is kept 是被动用法What kept you? 此句中keep是耽误的意思。
