Guide the Ss to do the Exploring the Topic exercise on P108 of

SB. Then give them five minutes to discuss the following

questio ns:

1) What is Facebook, Twitter, Sina Weibo, Renren and

Douban?

2) Among those campus activities, which one do you like

best? Why?

3) What kind of frie nds do you want to have?

4) Do you have other ways of making friend besides those

men ti oned on your book?

5) Do you thi nk stude nts can make friends with teachers?

Divide the class into four groups and assig n one paragraph to

each group before class. Let each group prepare a PPT which

deals with the new words, expressions and difficult senten ce(s)

in the paragraph assig ned to them.

Ask each group to read aloud and explain their paragraph,
