2023年高中英语语法名词性从句精讲之:四大从句用法大全主语从句主语从句的概念:如果一个句子在复合句中充当一个主语,那么这个句子就是主语从句。
主语从句通常由从属连词that,whether,if和连接代词what,who,which whatever,whoever以及连接副词how,when,where,why等词引导。
that在句中无词义,只起连接作用。
主语从句用法:1、主语从句的引导词:主语从句通常由连词that和whether、连接代词或连接副词以及关系代词型what引导:如:That he is still alive is a wonder. 他还活着,真是奇迹。
When we arrive doesn't matter. 什么时候到没有关系。
What we need is money. 我们需要的是钱。
What I want to know is this. 我想知道的就是这一点。
Whether they would support us was a problem. 他们是否会支持我们还是一个问题。
2、主语从句与形式主语it:有时为了考虑句子平衡,通常在主语从句处使用形式主语it,而将真正的主语从句移至句末。
这分三种情况:(1)对于以连词that引导的主语从句,通常用形式主语代主语从句:如:It's a pity that he didn't come. 很遗憾他没来。
(2)对于以连接代词(副词)引导的主语从句,可以使用形式主语代主语从句,也可直接在句首使用主语从句:如:Whether they would support us was a problem. 他们是否会支持我们还是一个问题。
It was a problem whether they would support us. 他们是否会支持我们还是一个问题。
(3)对关系代词型what引导的主语从句,通常不用形式主语,总是主语从句放在句首:如:What we need is money. 我们需要的是钱。
语法专题二:名词性从句1. 名词性从句的基本概念:1) 主语从句:在句中充当主语;亦可用it作形式主语,主语从句置于句末。
2) 宾语从句:在句中充当及物动词或介词的宾语;亦可用it作形式宾语,宾语从句置于句末。
3) 表语从句:在句中充当系动词的表语。
4) 同位语从句:常置于fact, idea, news, promise, doubt, suggestion, possibility, belief等表示有内容的名词后,起解释、说明作用。
2. 注意:1) 名词性从句要用陈述句语序。
2) 名词性从句中缺少主语、表语、宾语时:常用what 导,亦可用which表示选择,用who/whom/whoever指人。
缺少状语:用where(表地点), when(表时间), how(表方式), why(表原因)。
3) 如不缺成份:主语从句、同位语从句用that引导,不能省略;表从、单个动词宾从可省略引导词that;介词宾从、第二个宾从,引导词that一般不省略;it作形式主语或宾语时,引导实际主从或宾从,一般that不省略;当主从、宾从本身为复合句时,引导词that不省略。
如:He told us sadly that what he had done secretly was dis covered by his parents.4) 含宾从的复合句中,主句和从句的时态保持一致,但如果从句中表示是客观现象,虽然主句是过去时态,从句仍用一般现在时。
5) 主语从句做主语,谓语动词用单数;如果由and 连接两个或两个以上的主语从句做主语时,谓语动词用复数;由两个或多个连接词引导一个主语从句,谓语动词用单数。
6) 当主句是I/We think(或suppose, expect, believe, imagine, guess)时,其后的宾语从句如果是否定的,常常把否定词not从从句中移到主句中。
7) 只能用whether,不能用if表示“是否”的情况如下:(1) 在表语从句和同位语从句中;(2) 在主语从句中,如果用it做形式主语,whether和if都能引导主语从句,否则,只能用whether(3) 在介词之后;(4) 后面直接跟动词不定式;(5) 与or not连用;(6) 引导让步状语从句,只能用whether。
名词性从句一、名词性从句与简单句的区别在英文中,名词或名词短语主要充当四种句子成分:主语、宾语、表语和同位语。
如果把句子当作名词来用,分别充当另一句话的主语、宾语、表语或同位语,于是便构成了四种从句:主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句。
因为这四种从句在本质上相当于名词的作用,所以将其统称为名词性从句。
请看下表:在英语中,相当于名词作用的句子有三类,陈述句、一般疑问句以及特殊疑问句。
因此,名词从句就是用三种句子来分别充当另外一个句子的四种句子成分,者就构成了名词从句的本质特征。
但是,这三种句子不是直接放在另一个句子中作成分,而是要作各种变化调整。
接下来将具体讨论。
二、陈述句作句子成分1. 要在陈述句句首加上t hat用”that+陈述句”这一结构分别充当另一个句子的四种成分。
2.为什么要加that?对于陈述句,为什么要在其句首加that 后才能用它作成分呢?而为什么在宾语从句中that 又可以省去呢?因为在英文中,句子的核心意思主要是靠谓语部分来表达,一个句子只表达一个核心意思,也就是只能有一个谓语部分。
而添加that,相当于一个“指路牌”,能够帮助我们指明段句的方向,而不至于造成歧义。
而对于宾语从句,主句的谓语已经出现,后面所接的成分自然是谓语,所以在不会影响句子的意思下,是可以把that 省去的。
三、一般疑问句作句子成分1.用w hether 或if 引导先将疑问句的倒装语序变成陈述句语序(即主语放在谓语的前面),并在句首加上whether 或if(if 只用在宾语从句中)来引导,以保留原句的疑问意义。
即“whether+陈述句”2. if 还是 whether?1)if 一般只用于引导宾语从句,而 whether 可引导宾语从句在 内的其他名词从句。
IF he comes or not makes no difference. 成 Whether he comes or not makes no difference.2)if 不和 or not 直接连用,即一般不说 if or not, 但可以说 if...or not 。

③主句使用一般过去时,但从句表示的是客观真理、自然现象时、从句仍用一般现在时。

名词性从句一、名词性从句的引导词有:连接词:that、if、whether连接代词:who/ whom/whose/what/which/wh_ever连接副词:when/where/why/how/二、各种连接词的用法:1.连接词that、whether、if 不在它们引导的主语从句中充当句子成分。
2. 连接代词who、whose、what、which等都在句子中担当一个句子成分。
比如:主语、宾语、表语、定语等等。
3. 关系副词when、where、how、why等分别在句子中作时间状语、地点状语、方式状语等等。
➢主语从句(The Subject Clause)作句子主语的从句叫主语从句。
主语从句通常由从属连词that,whether,if 和连接代词what,who,which,whatever,whoever以及连接副词how,when,where,why等词引导。
that在句中无词义,只起连接作用;连接代词在从句中起名词的作用,在句中既保留自己的疑问含义、又起连接作用,作主语、宾语、表语、定语等;连接副词在从句中起副词的作用,作状语。
例如:1.从属连词that 引导的主语从句That light travels in straight line is known to all. 众所周知,光是以直线传播的。
It so happens that I know the man. 碰巧我理解那个。
Is it certain that they will win 他们一定会赢吗常以it作形式主语的句型有:A. It+be+形容词(obvious, true, natural, surprising, good, wonderful, funny,possible, likely, certain, probable, etc.)+that从句。
如:It is certain that she will do well in her exam. 毫无疑问她考试成绩会很好。
It is probable that he told her everything. 很可能他把一切都告诉她了。
注:necessary, important, natural, strange后面用虚拟语气(should) doIt is natural that they should have different views.B. It+be+名词词组(no wonder, a fact, a shame, an honor, a good thing, a pity, no surprise, good news etc.)+that从句。
如:It’s a pity that you didn't attend the lecture yesterday.It's a fact that English has been widely used in the world.It’s no surprise that our team should have won the game. 我们没赢这场比赛真意外。
C. It+be+过去分词(said, reported, thought, expected, decided, announced, arranged, etc.)+that从句。
如:It is said that Mr. Green has arrived in Beijing. 据说格林先生已经到了北京。
It is reported that China has sent another man-made earth satellite into orbit.据报道中国又成功地发射了一颗人造地球卫星。
D. It+seems, happens等不及物动词及短语+that从句。
如:It seems that Alice is not coming to the party at all. Alice似乎不来参加晚会。
It happened that I was out that day. 碰巧我那天外出了。
It turned out that she was a friend of my sister.E.当that引导的主语从句出现在疑问句中时,要以it作形式主语,而把主语从句后置。
如:Is it true that the scientist will give us a lecture next week? 下周那位科学家将给我们作报告是真的吗?Does it matter much that they will not come tomorrow? 他们明天不来很要紧吗?F.当主语从句出现在感叹句中时,要以it作形式主语,而把主语从句后置。
如:How strange it is that the children are so quiet! 孩子们这么安静真奇怪!2.Whether引导的主语从句可置于句首,if引导的主语从句只能放句末。
Whether she comes or not makes no difference. 她来不来都没相关系。
(主语从句,不可用if代替whether)Whether the work can be completed on time is doubtful.It is doubtful whether /if the work can be completed on time.3.Wh- 类连接词引导的主语从句连接代词有who, whom, whose, what ,which,whoever, whomever, whichever,whatever等; 连接副词when ,where, how, why,whenever, wherever, however 等。
What he wants to tell us is not clear. 他要跟我们说什么,还不清楚It is known to us how he became a writer. 我们都知道他是如何成为一名作家的Where the English evening will be held has not yet been announced.英语晚会将在哪里举行,还没有宣布。
Whoever comes to the club is welcome. 不论谁来参加这个俱乐部都欢迎。
Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.凡是值得做的就值得做好。
注:Wh- 类连接词引导的主语从句可置于句首也可置于句末,置于句末借助形式主语it代替wh-从句Who will be in charge of the project hasn't been decided yet.= it hasn't been decidedyet Who will be in charge of the project.句型It doesn’t matter (makes no difference, etc.)+连接代词或连接副词引起的主语从句。
如:It doesn’t matter whether she will come or not. 她是否来这无关紧要。
It makes no difference where we shall have the meeting. 我们在哪里开会毫无区别。
➢宾语从句(The Object Clause)名词句用作宾语的从句叫宾语从句。
宾语从句:动词或介词及形容词的宾语从句。
A. 作动词宾语He told us(that)he felt ill. 他对我们说他感到不舒服。
Do you know whose dictionary it is 你知道这是谁的字典?He has informed me when they are to discuss the work plan. 他已经通知我他们将什么时候讨论工作计划Give a reading list to whoever comes. 给所有来的人一份阅读书目。
注意:doubt(怀疑)的肯定句接if/ whether引导的宾语从句,但否定句和疑问句接that引导的宾语从句。
I doubt whether if he will succeed. 我怀疑他是否会成功。
I do not doubt that he can recite the poem. 我相信他能把这首诗背下来。
Do you doubt that he will win 你不相信会获胜吗B.作介词的宾语He was deeply displeased by what had occurred that day. 他对那天发生的事感到很不快。
I am curious as to what he will say. 我很想知道他要说什么。
Your success will largely depend upon what you do and how you do it. 你是否成功将主要取决于你做什么和怎样做。
They were praised or criticizd according to how they had done their work. 他们受表扬还是受批评是根据他们工作好坏而定。
He goes to the library every day except when it is raining. 除了天下雨外,他每天都去图书馆。
注意:that引导的宾语从句只用在少数介词后,如:except, in, but等。
此时,that 不能省略。
I know little about him except that he lives downstais. 我对他知之甚少,只知道他住在楼下。
