PlotThe main characters in The Legendary Sillcon Valley are Steve Jobs （1955-2011）, Bill Gates(1955), Steve Woz, Paul Allen and Steve Ballmer. The movie begins with a students movement in a university. Jobs and Woz are in this school, but they are more interested in computer rather than students movement. Most of you must know Jobs, and WOz was another initial founder of Apple. He was a guy had a gift in making computers. They put most time in designing computer, later they left university and start to produce computer in his father garage. When they finished their product, Jobs began to find loans for their computer, but nobody was willing to give them loan owning to Jobs beard and clothes. Until Mike Markula found them and gave them 250000 dollars. With 250000 dollars, Apple was found in 1976. Once Apple was found, it attracted word attention. Apple developed fast, but owning to some reasons. Jobs was fired by the broads in 1985. Without Jobs, the Apple did not develop well. In 1997, Jobs came back and lead Apple to What we know. Good artists copy, great artist steal. This is what I learned from Bill Gates. Gates has a sharp observation about the things happened around him. When Altair came into appreance, he realized there was a revolution.I think the most facinating part in this movie was that Gates, Paul and Ballmer went to negotiation with IBM, they wanted to provide language for IBM computers. During which time there was fierce competionbetween Apple and IBM. Actually, Gates did not have computer language at that time, But he knew there was a market. Finally he made a deal with IBM, then he bought a computer language from Paul friend with 50000 dollars. When cooperated with IBM, Microsoft got a big progress. Comments:Jobs was a genius, he was good at creating amazing products. But he should learn how to communicate with his employees, he emphsias creation in designing product. When he found his designers ideal was under his criterion, he would be angry and scoud them ironically. Then there was an unsatisfaction against Jobs between workers. Even Woz left him for his arrogant. Besides, he was a deligent guy, he can work 66 hours ever week. His success comes from his hard. By the way, he has a daughter before he got married. But he did not admit she was his daughter. Maybe he did not want to affected by family when he chasing his dream.Gates was a great artist, when he found a great designing, he will try his best to get it. You know how to surive? You make people need you .You survive because you make them need what you have.And then they have nowhere else to go. He was a good leader. He got on well with his workers. Finally he became the richest man in the world.Business KnowledgeFrom the movie, we can learn some knowledge about business. And I will introduce some points what I think they are important.First, as a business man, we must pay attention to our wearings. First impression is important. And the wearing is the direct impression we can give others. So we must dress appropriately. In the movie, you can see when Jobs wants to find loans from banks, no banks gave him a loan. The reason is simple. It’s because his wearings. In your spare time, you can wear what you want. But in a business, you should take uniform. And later, Jobs and Gates all changed their clothes when they are going to take a business. It can demonstrate that wearing is important in business.An then, if you want to find a partner or customer. You should know what he want and what’s your strengths and if he doesn’t want to cooperate with you, what challenges he might meet. From the radio, when Gates want to establish relation with Jobs company and IBM, he says that he has the things which are good to the partner. And if the potential partner doesn’t want to cooperate with him, he will find others, which is a big challenge to the partner. And finally the potential partners become the real partner. So if you want to find a partner , you must know what your potential partner need and point the strengths and weakness if he cooperate with you or not.And last, the most important,you should get into the market as soon aspossible even though your products are not so perfect.In a business, market means everything. If you can’t seize the market in time, your chance will be taken over by others. From the plot, in my view, I show my sympathy for Jobs and even first I looked down upon Gates for his stealing. But in reality, in business, It happens at any time. A business man should know the importance of market. If you don’t charge the market, the failure must belong to you.。
