永远的怀念——纪念华君武诞辰100周年

37ZHEJIANG CELEBRITIES 浙籍名人永远的怀念—纪念华君武诞辰100周年曹大春2015年4月24日,是中国著名漫画家华君武先生诞辰100周年纪念日。

2010年6月13日,95岁高龄的华先生在北京逝世,党和国家主要领导人以及中宣部、文化部、中国文联、中国美协和有关省市的文化宣传部门发去唁电,或往家设灵堂献上花篮、花圈,慰问家属。

根据华先生生前遗嘱和家属意愿,丧事一切从简,不开追悼会,不举行遗体告别仪式,但如雪片般飞来的唁电表达出亲朋好友和艺术界同行的无限哀悼之情。

为此,有关方面决定举办华君武同志追思会,并于6月28日上午,在北京中国文艺家之家四楼报告厅举行。

报告厅内肃穆庄重,主席台正中是华先生侧身坐姿像,神态安详,周边悬挂着他不同历史时期的照片,作为对其一生的回顾。

会上,领导和老友先后发言,对这位德高望重的老前辈一生的艺术成就作了回顾,使与会者深受感动、催人泪下。

我参加了追思会,深受感动和教育。

华君武祖籍江苏无锡,1915年4月24日出生在杭州。

他早年投身波澜壮阔的民族解放斗争和人民民主革命,新中国成立后积极参与建设全新的社会主义文艺事业,晚年时常关心文化发展。

他为我们留下十分丰厚的精神文化遗产,永远值得珍藏和记忆。

今天,我们追忆和敬仰他,是要将其风范发扬光大,薪火相传!华先生从来就把杭州当作故乡,对杭州怀有深厚的感情。

他从幼稚园、小学到初中,都在杭州度过。

读初中时,他与漫画结下不解之缘,一有空闲时间就自己琢磨画漫画,不断给报社投稿,并屡屡被采用刊登。

1931年,他离开杭州到上海读高中,开始新的生活。

在上海期间,华君武先后结识了林语堂先生、全增嘏教授,以及丰子恺、鲁少飞、张光宇、叶浅予等前辈,并得到他们的悉心指教,同时还结识了一批年龄相仿的漫画朋友,如张乐平、张正宇、黄苗子、廖冰兄、丁聪等人,互相切磋,助益匪浅。

1937年7月抗战全面爆发,华君武辗转投奔陕北延安,进陕北公学当学员,后到鲁迅艺术院学习和工作。

他聆听过毛泽东同志在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话,在此讲话精神指引下,一生走文艺与人民相结合、文艺为人民服务的民族化、大众化的创作道路。

1949年新中国成立后,华君武长期在中国美协工作。

华先生是广大美术工作者的朋友,齐白石、吴作人、刘开渠、李可染、关山月等著名艺术家都曾得到他的关心和照顾。

为培养新中国的美术队伍和美术工作者的成长作出了贡献。

华先生晚年把毕生数千件漫画作品无私赠给国家,由中国美术馆珍藏。

2001年,他荣获中国美术最高奖“中国美术金彩奖终身成就奖”。

华先生在晚年对杭州故乡更加思念,总想能多来杭州走走、看看。

他为《浙江日报》《钱江晚报》创作过300多幅作品。

1999年5月9日是《浙江日报》五十华诞,华先生的“华君武百幅漫画展”特于浙江展览馆举办,为浙报祝贺;2006年《钱江晚报》创刊20周年,九秩高龄的华先生为之题词“我和钱江晚报漫画结缘20年,祝贺她长命百岁、越办越好”。

这也是他最后一次为钱报题词。

我在浙报工作多年,因而与华先生相识交往。

16年间,他对我就像对孩子一样,亲切关心。

我们书信、电话联络不断。

华先生每次来杭,总要来我家看看,拉拉家常,吃顿便饭。

一次他吃到一盘凉拌马兰头小菜,非常开心,称赞很好吃,并请我爱人芳芳明天再给买点带回北京吃,但数量不要多。

第二天一早,芳芳去农贸市场买了两斤马兰头菜,现拌好装在一只瓶里给华先生带回北京。

两天后,华先生从北京专门打来电话:真好吃,好像又回到了童年时代!以往我每年春季都会给华先生寄些茶叶、笋干等家乡土特产,他每次来信总是一再表示感谢。

记得2001年7月的一天,华先生打电话来说:“我在杭州时用过一种药水,名叫‘好得快’,是一种气雾剂,用于一般割伤、擦伤或软组织损伤等,喷到皮肤上能加快愈合。

这药水是湖北省一药厂生产的,效果较好,我在北京去过两家药店都没有,请你帮忙在杭州买一下。

”我第二天寻访到,买了寄过去。

华先生很幽默地回信说:“药已收到,药费未告,无法汇奉。

我记住了,以后不敢叫你购物了。

现有一画,‘永不走路’一幅,暂存你处,由你处理,或充购药费用。

”2000年是农历龙年,芳芳属龙,华先生从北京寄来一张“龙”漫画,祝贺春节愉快,信封写“茅芳芳”收。

我给华先生打电话表示感谢,顺便说你把芳芳的姓写错了,她姓罗不姓茅。

他连忙说对不起,并于第二天重新写了邮封寄来。

他在信中说:老兔八十五,头脑不清楚,错把茅当罗,应该打屁股,重新写邮封,请你原谅我,另一画补过,请收……华先生真是太幽默了!自1995年起,每年元旦后两三天,我都能收到华先生寄来的由他所画、由邮局设计出品的十二生肖漫画首日封,一直至2006年,12年没有间断。

我曾经在电话中问华先生:你每年元旦往全国各地要寄多少?光写写邮封也够累的,以后给我就不用寄了。

可他答复:别人可以不寄,你,我是一定要寄的,我们是老朋友了。

这真的使我太感动了。

2005年4月华先生九十大寿,我和芳芳特意赶赴北京向华老祝贺。

我和华先生最后一次相聚是在2006年10月。

那次,华先生来杭州参加“相约西子湖西子文化”活动。

华先生下榻西子宾馆20多天,其间我一直陪伴住一个房间,24小时照顾其生活起居。

与以往相比,华先生身体虚弱了不少,记忆力也明显下降,但他仍然清晰记得自己过去参加革命的历程,与我畅谈。

没想到这就是我们最后一次面对面交谈了。

2010年华先生逝世。

受报社领导委托,我和其他几位同志于6月18日赶往北京他的家中,向他的遗像敬献了花篮,第二天上午,我参加了在友谊医院由家属和亲友举行的小型告别会。

随后,我与他儿子华端端、华方方一同护送华先生遗体去八宝山殡仪馆火化;之后,又护送骨灰坛至西山万佛陵园,安十二年,每年元旦华君武都寄赠本文作者一张自己所绘的生肖明信片,合为一套。

第二年,我到北京去陵园向华先生墓献了鲜花。

华先生离世五年了,他的音容笑貌不时在我的梦中出现。

我时常把华先生寄我的书信及赠我的书籍、画作拿出来阅读和欣赏,把我们合影的照片摆出来看看。

2013年1月,西湖之畔建华君武漫画园,立有碑刻,我常去走走,眺望灿烂的夕照……(除署名外,本文图片由作者提供)hroughout his li etime Hua Junwu held pro ound eelingstowards his birthplace where he spent his childhood and adolescentears.He ound his passion or cartoon and comic strips in his A ter the outbreak o the anti-Japanese war in 197Hua Junwuhad to leave hanghai to seek shelter in the red region in northernhaan i.inishing schooling in orthern haan i nstitute theCUL T UR AL DI AL OGUE40predecessor of today ’s Renmin University of China),he moved on to study and teach in Lu Xun Art School based in Y an ’an.Inspired by the famous Speech on Literature and Art Forum in Y an ’an by Mao Zedong,Hua Junwu set the goal of upholding the highest principle of veracity and serving the nation and the working people.In his later years,Hua Junwu released his love for his hometown in more than 300creations he contributed to Zhejiang Daily and Qianjiang Evening News.To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of Zhejiang Daily,he dedicated a solo exhibition to the newspaper on May 9,1999.For the 20th anniversary of the founding of Qianjiang Evening News,the 90-year-old cartoonist sent his special greetings which turned out to be the his last legacy with the newspaper.As a journalist working for Zhejiang Daily newspaper,I was lucky to have the chance to get to know the cartoonist.Throughout the 16-year-long friendship,he treated me like I was his child and we never got out of touch.Hua Junwu had a folksy,innocent soul.Every time he was in Hangzhou,he ’d drop by for a chat with me and my wife,whose cooking always triggered his hometown nostalgia.Every year when the tea and bamboo season came,I would send a parcel of Hangzhou specialties to Beijing for the master to relive the hometown avor.Hua phoned me on a day in the mid-summer of 2007,asking if I could nd a medical spray he tried in vain to nd when he was in Hangzhou and asking if I could post the medicine to his Beijing home.“I tried two drug stores here,but in vain,and the only thing I remember about the spray is that the package says the manufacturer ”,I f y z x y y information and offered to pay for the medicinewith an art piece.Our last meeting was in Hangzhou in October,2006.I sp ent about 20days with the master,sharing the same hotel room and taking care ofhim 24hours a day.His memory as well as health was noticeably failing,but the 94-year-old spoke glowingly with me about his life experiences in the warring years.I still remember the day when I visited the cartoonist ’s home in Beijing to offer my condolences after Hua Junwu passed away.I went with several colleagues representing the newspaper where I worked.The next morning I took part in the funeral ceremony held in the Friendship Hospital and saw him off to the funeral parlor in Babaoshan.He now rests in peace with his soul mate wife Song Qi at the Xishan Cemetery.Five years after his death,I still see the smiling face and hear the voice of the cartoonist quite a lot in my dreams.The Hua Junwu Cartoon Park launched at the West Lake shores in Hangzhou in 2013offers a great place for me to admire his legacy and ponder on the fond past weshared.西湖边,故乡人民为华君武建起了漫画纪念园。
