设计意图
This period is to develop students’ reading skills. After the Warming Up, students
will know more about different jobs in making newspapers. Then guide students to
read the passage entitled MYFIRST WORK ASSIGNMENT “Unforgettable”, says
new journalist, which deals with the first day at work of a new journalist called Zhou
Yang.
Warming Up is intended for students to learn about a variety of jobs in making
newspapers and what the jobs involve.
Pre-reading is a continuation of the Warming Up. It helps students to know some
good qualities a good journalist needs, such as higher level of education, enthusiasm
and good writing skills. Then let students discuss the questions and predict what kind
of information will be introduced in the reading.
The reading is about a dialogue between a new journalist Zhou Yang and his new
