一、教学内容
Unit 5 Helping our parents (Story time)
二、教学目标
1. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写词汇:help, parents, clean, kitchen,
living room, bedroom, busy.
2. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写短语:clean the car, sweep the floor,
cook breakfast, cook dinner, wash dishes, clean the table, make the bed.
3. 理解、会读、会说句型:What is…doing? …is + Ving.
三、教学重点
1. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写词汇:help, parents, clean, kitchen,
living room, bedroom, busy.
2. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写短语:clean the car, sweep the floor,
cook breakfast, cook dinner, wash dishes, clean the table,
make the bed.
四、教学难点
1. 能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的帮助下尝试复述课文。 2 2. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人正在做什么。
五、教学准备
1. 教具:多媒体,单词卡,图片

六、教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greetings
2. Enjoy a song: Monkey, monkey, what are you doing?
3. Free talk
老师先问学生喜欢在周末做什么事情?再问学生的兴趣爱好是什么?
T: Hello, what do you like doing in your spare time?
S: I like dancing. T: You must be a good dancer.
T: What’s your hobby? S: I like painting.
T: Maybe you can paint a lot of pictures.
T: Do you often … at weekends?
S:Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
T: What do you often do at weekends?
S1: I often do my homework.
T: Do you often do your homework at weekends too? S2: Yes, I do. 3 T: What about you? S3: Me too.
T: Oh, you are so busy! (把busy写在黑板上,让同学跟读,并加以释 Busy means you have a lot of things to do. You have no time to rest.)
T: At weekends, I am busy too. I am busy doing housework.
I always do a lot of housework at weekends.
Step 2: Presentation & Practice
1. 教词组
(1) T: What housework can you do? Can you clean the table?
S: Yes, I can.
T: You can clean the table. But can you clean the car? S: Yes, I can.
T: Whose car do you clean? S: My father’s car.
(2) T: If the table is dirty, we can clean the table.
If the car is dirty, we can clean the car.
If the clothes are dirty, what can we do?
S: Clean the clothes.
T: Yes, but we have a better say, we can wash the clothes.
T: There are so many dirty clothes, let’s wash them.
(3) T: I don’t like washing the dishes. But I like cooking.
I often cook breakfast/dinner at home.
2. 教句型 4 (1) T: Look! What is the boy doing? (放扫地动图)
S: He is sweeping the floor.
(2) T: I am always very busy at weekends.
This is my busy weekend. Discuss with your partners.
Step 3: Story time
1. T: At weekends, I do housework in my house.
Look! Whose house is it?
S: Mike’s house.
T: Who are they in the house?
Ss: Mike/ Tim/ Mike’s dad/ Mike’s mum/Helen.
T: And? Don’t forget Ben, the dog.
2. T: Do you remember where are they in the house?
Listen to the story and find out. (听第一段) Do the match in paper.
T: Where is Mike/Helen/mum/dad/Tim?
(学生便汇报边拿字卡认真贴上:人物—地点)
3. T: It is Saturday morning. From the picture, who is busy?
And why is he/she busy? Discuss with your partners and tell us.
4. T: Mike’s family are busy on Saturday morning.
Are they free in the afternoon? Watch the video and find out.
Ss:No. 5 T: Yes, still busy. Why? T/Ss: Because Mike’s cousin comes.
5. T: Mike and Helen are helping their parents. What about their
brother Tim? Read the story by yourself and do the exercises T/F.
6. Let’s read: Read in different ways
7. Teamwork: Retell the story
分小组展示用黑板提示及PPT上的句型结合来复述课文。
Step 4: Extension
T: Why doesn’t Tim help? Guess!
Ss: Because they are too young.
T: Every child can help parents do the housework.
出示国外各年龄家务单,引发孩子们的思考。
Step 5: Homework
1. Help parents do housework.
2. 设想Mike一家晚上都在做什么,仿照Story time写作。
