本课是冀教版英语七年级上册第一单元的第4课时。本单元围绕着“School and Friends”这个话题展开各种教学活动。要求通过本单元的学习，学会使用表达问候、介绍、告别以及表达感谢的一些常用语，学会be动词的使用。本课通过Li Ming和Wang Mei的对话场景导入各种学习内容，让学生认识到英语在日常交际中的作用。本课是学习本单元后面知识的引线。
Analysis of students
学生是西藏当雄县中学的初一上册新生，这个阶段的学生有活泼好动，好胜心强，急于表现自己的特点，学生们小学的英语有了少量的基础，也积累了一定的词汇量，本课学习内容是学生所熟悉的学习用品，学生们对本课的学习会很有兴趣。每个班的学生都会有性格内向、不愿开口的学生，针对此类学生，力争让他们参与到简单的互动中来，以培养这部分学生的学习兴趣。并在教学过程中给予及时的评价。

1、语言知识：全体学生能正确认读、听懂、理解以下单词及句子短语: guess, first, wall, pencil
box, ruler, blackboard, game, write, right, turn, black, What is it? What’s this/that? It’s a/an… Is it
a/an…? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.
2、语言技能：i.能听懂本课关于介绍物的对话；ii. 能用英语与他人进行介绍物和回答的对话； iii.能够连贯的朗读课文； iv. 能用英语写出本课的一些重要句子。
3、学习策略：1. 对所学内容能主动练习和实践；2. 在学习中，通过独学，对学，小组合作探究学习掌握本节课的学习内容； 3. 积极参与课外英语学习活动。
4、情感态度：Help the students keep interests of learning English.
Enable the students to study in groups.

5、文化意识：Learn more about different kinds of English culture.
