a)corrigendum 1 has been incorporated;

b)bright-finished and coated surfaces have been added to

the scope of the standard;

c)normative references have been revised and updated;

d)examples of designation have been added; e)the scope of the standard has been extended to included

stainless and high

temperature resistant steels;

f)restrictions on the corrosion resistance properties have

been added;

1 Scope

This standard specifies functional characteristics of locking

coatings applied on steel screws, bolts and studs (“bolts” for

short)
