Edward Scissorhands is an American fantasy film. It was first showed in America on December
6th 1990.Edward Scissorhands tells about that a story of a robot. An inventor lived in a castle,
he made many things, even a robot, he named the robot Edward. The inventor taught ceremony
and poesy to Edward, he taught him when to smile and when to calm down. But when the robot
Edward was about to be finished, the inventor was dead. He left Edward who has a pair of
scissorhands and a full heart. After that, Edward lived alone in the castle. Later, a woman who
promoted cosmetics came into the castle and found Edward. The warm-hearted woman who was
called Peg wasn’t frightened by Edward, she was sympathized with Edward ,so she brought
Edward to her home.
Peg’ neighbours were curious about Edward . They think he is very strange and interesting.
Edward has a pair of scissorhands. He can prune the trees ,flowers and design many strange and
beautiful hair styles. The people were crazy to love Edward ,But at the moment Edward has fallen
in love with Peg’s daughter, a beautiful girl who called Kim.
Kim has a boyfriend, at first she repelled Edward. In order to finish Kim’s a requirement.
Edward slipped into Kim boy friend’s home, but unfortunately, He was arrested by policeman.
Finally he didn’t tell policemen the truth. He was afraid of implicating Kim. Several days later, he
was released, but the people regarded him as the dangerous person, they were away from Peg’
family. Kim realized that her boyfriend was a vicious person. She began to accept Edward.
When Christmas was coming, Edward wanted to do something good, on the contrary, the people
misunderstood him. All the people wanted to drive him out. In the struggle, Edward killed Kim’s
boyfriend, Kim accepted Edward’s love. But they can’t stay together forever. After that, Edward
hid in a corner of the castle where people can’t find out. They think Edward has been died. For
many years, Edward cut trees, snow and love forever in the castle……
Edward Scissorhands is a very moving film. Edward is the representative who has a ugly
face ,at the same time, with a kind heart. He loved Kim but didn’t ask for repay. He did the
wrong thing because Kim asked him to do without any reasons. At first, he lived alone, he is
very shy. He tried his best to mix together with other people. He helped everyone. But at last,
as a result of many causes, people misunderstood him. He had to leave ,I feel very
sorrow . Though Kim accept Edward, but she can’t stay with him. So the love of Edward is
the most pure love in the world. He holds his love for Kim forever. From the beginning to the
end, Edward was very virtuous. Edward Scissorhands is a distressed and beautiful story.
Johnny Depp had less than 150 lines, but I am moved by Johnny Depp’ eyes. He can
always express figure’s heart perfectly. He performed many films, for example, Pirates of
Caribbean Alice in Wonderland and so on. I liked Johnny Depp and his films very much.
