由此看来,商务英语不是一种独立的语言,它仍然是英语,是在国际商务背景下使用的英语。

BEC全称为Busin ess Englis h Certif icate,为英国剑桥大学考试委员会组织的权威性商务英语知识证书,旨在测试考生在实际工作环境中的英语实用能力。
由于其命题严谨,测试科学,内容紧贴商务需求,因而被推崇为“将英语知识和商务技能结合最完美的测试系统”、“全球最权威的求职英语证书”。
BEC证书分为初级(Prilim inary)、中级(Vantag e)和高级(Higher)三个级别,其中初级报考人数较少,中、高级证书对求职帮助较大,因此中国考生主要参加中、高级考试居多。
自1993年BEC落户中国以来,考生人数稳步上升。
自2008年起,BEC考生人数已经超过托福考试,成为在华考生人数仅次于雅思的第二大海外考试。
BEC考试共有听、说、读、写四个考试单项。
调查显示,65%的考生认为这四个考试项目中,听力难度最高。
来自考点的数据显示,中国考生往往听力单项失分率最高,而如果最终未能通过考试,往往是听力拖了后腿。
中国考生在B EC中望“听”生畏,主要因为BE C听力与四六级等考生熟悉的国内英语考试的听力部分存在极大差异,包括命题手法、考察侧重点、评分原则等的差异,导致学生纷纷折戟考场。
笔者现结合教学实践,将BEC听力与四六级听力之异同作对比,并列举BEC 听力真题示范解题要点,以期助考生一臂之力。
(注:本文主要对中国考生更多考察的BE C中、高级考试进行论述。
而由于中、高级听力的命题手法、解题要点一致,因此下文中将中、高级合并讲解,统称“BEC考试”。
)一、考察侧重点异同比较四六级听力的命题主要围绕校园展开,题目内容多有关选课、考试、课题研究、课外活动等,另外也会涉及日常生活中的英语使用,如有的题目要求考生听懂在餐厅、机场、电影院等场合的常见英语表达。
This clause should also be amended if the manufacturer is granting exclusive sales rights to the sales representative. For exclusive rights, the contract should provide that the manufacturer agrees not to sell and not to authorize any others to sell or otherwise distribute its products in the country. Exclusivity of sales benefits the sales representative and is most often granted when a market is relatively small.
