Module 1 How to learn English

一、 单元教学内容分析

本单元的中心话题是谈论如何学英语。与其相关的新词汇"diary, translate, match, complete, correct, number, repeat, advice, mistake,

improve, radio, newspaper, deep, breath, article, yourself, put down, think about

" 等,征求和提供建议的多种英语表达。重点:词汇---相关英语学习用语。难点:相关英语学习的词汇,制定英语学习计划。语言结构:should do, should not do, how about, don't forget to do, try to do, try not do, it's a good idea...

二、语言知识目标

1. 功能:1). 掌握征求建议的表达方式。What can I do? What should I do? Can you give me some advice?

2). 提供建议的表达方式。How about...? Why don't you ...? You should... Don't forget ... Try (not) to...

2. 词汇:diary, translate, complete, correct, number, repeat, advice, mistake, improve, radio,

4. 语音:读准句子中的连读。

三、语言技能目标

听:能听懂包含征求建议的问句;能听懂对方的建议。 说:能口头征求、提供建议。

读:能读懂包含建议的文章,包括书信。 写:能写出征求建议的句子,能提供书面建议。

演示与表达:能表演包含建议的对话。

四、学习策略:

自学策略:能够通过阅读学习掌握一些阅读和词汇的学习策略。

合作学习策略:能够与同学交流学习心得体会,共享学习策略。

五、文化意识

通过学习征求和提供建议的表达方式,理解西方人如何提建议;联想自己生活中

相关建议的经历,掌握妥当征求和提供建议的方式。

六、情感态度 :通过学习提供建议,掌握与他人交流时语言的得体性,掌握如何照顾对方的情感,不要令对方感到不舒服,对于他人提建议表示感谢。

七、任务 能够根据同学的学习情况就其学习问题或困难提供适当的建议;根据别人的建议制定 自己的学习计划。

八、学情分析

经过一年的学习,学生对英语已有初步的了解。很多人对英语感兴趣,他们渴望多听,多说,更渴望有良好的学习方法。八年级的学生有较强的记忆力和逻辑思维水平。八年级的学生易产生两极分化,英语教师更要注重学生积极学习情绪的培养及学生个性差异的分层教学。

十、分课时教案

Period 1 (Unit l Try not to translate every word)

一、 Warming-up / Lead - in

目的:导入话题,复习词汇,并表现一部分生词。

1.Lead-in :

(1).Presentation of the vocabulary:grammar ,Listening , pronunciation , reading , speaking , vocabulary , writing . say : We've learned

English for a year , now we know English Learning should include Grammar , listening , ......(help the students to say the words above )

(2) During our study of English what we often do ? (use one word , please . ) (help the students say : answer , ask , check ,......)Teach

new words: complete, copy, number, repeat, translate, underline, etc.

2、Match the words with the headings . some words go more than one heading .Work in pairs , then in class .

目的:本活动旨在练习学生的分类记忆策略。注意同一个词可以有不同的归类。

Read through the words in the box and have the students follow and then repeat chorally and individually .

Pay particular attention to those words where the stress does not fall on the first syllable : complete , correct , repeat , translate , underline .

Ask them to complete the activity individually , then check with a partner . Call back the answers from the class word by word , and write them in a table on the board .

3、list and match these words with the conversations.

目的:要求学生判断听力对话的主题,培养学生选择注意的能力和主题理解能力。

Read through the words in the box and have the students repeat them chorally and individually.

Pay particular attention to the stress in these words punctuation, translation.

Play the tape through and ask the students to just listen and focus on the words.

Play the tape again and ask them to answer. You may care to suggest that they just write the first letter of the words (i.e. g =grammar,

m=meaning etc)so that they can concentrate on listening more.

They can then check with a partner.

Play the tape once more for them to check, complete and correct.

Call back the answers from the whole class.

二、 Listening (Activities3、4、5)

Listen to the dialogue .

Read through the sentences while the students follow

Do individually, then check with a partner.

Check in the whole class.

2. Listen and repeat the dialogue. Change the roles.

Ask some groups to perform if it is possible.

Call back the answers from the whole class.
