The level of physical ability is often disproportionate to the actual level of pulmonary functioning (Lisansky, 1996). Changes to end of life choices (Stapleton et al, 2005; Rossenfield et al, 1996). Decreased compliance with medication and increased mortality (Dimatteo et al, 2000).
Case Example – Mr X.
Mild to moderate depression and anxiety. Low motivation and energy. Disrupted Sleep. Palpitations. Shaking. Breathlessness. Recent Bereavement. Socially isolated. Feeling Stigmatised.
Referral to Primary Care Mental Health Team bereavement group.
