Unit 1 My birthday【教学目标】本单元重要的单词，短语和句子。
【教学重难点】本单元重要的单词，短语和句子的使用。
疑问句when’s…?和日期表达法。
When 用来询问某件事什么时候发生，通常问的是某一天。
它的回答是It’s on… 。
注意：what time也可用来询问时间，但它通常询问某一时刻。

“由远及近”例如：Bring me some water, please.请给我取点水来。
take是指把人或物从说话人的地方带到别处去。

3. 集体朗读。
4. 教师提问：Which month do you like? Why?。
5. Do you know “dates”?教师提出问题：Q: What day is it?What’s the date today?引出中秋节。
提醒学生不能用基数词8号来回答日期。
要在8后面加th。
6. How many days in a moth?There are thirty-one days in October.7. 教师提问10月1日怎么进行表达，引出first，然后出示first October 的表达方式。
While-task procedure 2:1. Learn the ordinal numeral 1-31.2. Listen and read.学习31个序数词变化的普遍规律和不规则的几个词a. 提问总结出普遍结尾加th；b. 出示完全不同的三个: first, second, third（以前课文中应该也有出现的）；c. 还有个别不规则的的序数词。

2. 能听懂、会说、认读句型：“When is your birthday？〞“It’s in March.〞二、课文情景简介Li Ming, Danny, Wang Hong和Peter在饭店用餐，看到旁边有一个小朋友过生日的情景，相互询问他们在哪个月份过生日。
Wang Hong还邀请Li Ming, Danny一起参加她的生日聚会。
三、教学重难点1. 掌握本课的重点单词，并能熟练运用。
2. 熟悉并掌握本课的句型，可以运用本课的句型开展对话。
四、教学过程Step 1Listen and say出示图片点出本单元的话题: Birthday.问学生: Do you like birthday party?生答复: Yes. When is your birthday?学习新单词: when问几个学生后，找几个学生互问互答。
导入课文：Do you want to know when our friends’ birthday are? Now let’s listen to the tape first.答复以下问题：When is Li Ming’s birthday?听完让学生答复第二遍听课文录音一幅图一幅图讲解。
出示课本第一幅图片，指: Li Ming, Danny, Wang Hong和Peter问学生: Who are they? 再指过生日的场景，What are they doing? 听课本第一段答复: They are having a birthday party.教学单词: party.〔注意：ar的发音，car-smart-party〕指图介绍: Li Ming, Danny, Wang Hong和Peter正在谈论生日。
《My birthday》的教学设计《My birthday》的教学设计本课时选自PEP小学五年级英语第三单元 My birthday（第二课时）内容为学习并且能听、说、认、读句型 When is your birthday?My birthday is inFebruary. Is your birthday in February, too？本课重点是强化句型When is your birthday? My birthdayis in …?听、说、认、读：Is your birthday in …?本课时是这一单元的根底，对学生很好的掌握 My birthday这一话题起着很大的作用。
本节课的授课对象是小学五年级学生，他们已经有了初步的'英语根底，在听、说、读、写方面已有了很大的提高，并且本节课的话题是学生比拟熟悉的内容。
学生应该而且能够积极地参与到学习过程中去。
怎样创设学习情境，让学生在练习语言的根底上掌握本课所学内容，在此根底上拓展知识点是本节课的重中之重。
（1）、能听、说、认读句型：When is your birthday? My birthday is in February. Is your birthday in February, too?（2）、能够使用句型：How many birthdays are there in January?（3）、能够听懂、会唱歌曲When is your birthday?培养学生互相关心、团结友爱、互帮互助的优良品质。
