Specifically, hydroelectric technology has an widespread application, and for many hydroelectric system, the dams are built many years ago, for the increase load growth, it is not possible to increase the capacitor of the reservoir. One important reason is that enlarging the size of dam is costly and it takes a long period of time. Moreover, increasing the size of reservoir means improve the water level in the dam and related water cause which may lead to environmental damage. In comparison, to supply the load growth and deal with the added peak effect on the system, it is cost effective to install the PV to pump the water during the day time, and reusing the pumped water to supply the critical load demand. Reusing the pumped water which means increasing the electricity produced by the hydro power without increase the practical capacity of the reservoir.1.2Motivation:In both cases, the conjunctive operation of PV and hydro can not only improve the capacity of the system, but also enhance the reliability and make more profits. For exist hydro power plant, the capacity the reservoir is fixed, by installing the PV array, it can use the excessive energy produced by PV array to pump the water into the dam. In the meantime, add more generators to reuse the pumped storage. The pumped water which reused to producepower is an cost effective way to “in crease the capacity of the reservoir” without enlarge the size the dam. Moreover, for the solar electric system, due to the intermittent nature of the solar energy, it cannot supply the customers during the night.
