Unit Two Giving Thanks And Expressing Regret

Teaching aims: 1.Learn to express thanks and good wishes on some social occasions orally.

2.Practice listening skill on how to express thanks,regret and good wishes.

3.Improve reading,and writing skill on how to write a thank-you card and a

congratulation card.

1.Spell the New Words and Expressions , then read them three times and more:

Step 3. Learn the contents of A Gift Card and A Congratulation Card.

1. Learn the cards’ style and formation.

2. Learn the cards sentence by sentence, and know the Chinese meaning.

3. Learn how to write and reply to a gift / congratulation card.

4. Read aloud the four cards.

Step 4. Practice short dialogues in groups according to the information in the cards.

3) Read aloud the two Samples again and again.

2. Follow the Samples and use the information in the cards to practice short dialogues

in groups.

Step 5. Practice: Act out

Read aloud a group of short dialogues to express thanks and regret(P19-20). Then

play roles to make more conversations in groups. Step 6. Exercises: Put in Use (P20-21).
