初中七年级上册英语第9单元作文简元短全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Thoughts on Unit 9Hey there! I'm a 7th grader and I just finished Unit 9 in my English textbook. It was all about sports and exercise. I have to say, some parts were pretty interesting, but other parts were kind of boring. Let me break it down for you!The first few lessons were on different sports like basketball, soccer, tennis, and gymnastics. We learned vocabulary words for the equipment and moves in each sport. That was kind of fun because I could picture myself doing slam dunks or scoring a goal. My favorite new word was "leotard" for the outfits gymnasts wear. Such a weird name! Then we had a whole section on exercise and staying healthy. I'll be honest, I zoned out a little during those lessons. Who wants to learn about eating vegetables and getting enough sleep? borrrring! The only part that caught my attention was when we talked about extreme sports like skateboarding androck climbing. Those look so cool and dangerous! Maybe I'll buck up during gym class. What really made this unit a slog though were the dialogues we had to read. They were sooo dry and unnatural. Like, who actually talks like that? An example would be:"Hello David, will you be joining the basketball team this spring?""Why yes Martha, I find basketball to be quite an invigorating sport. The aerobic exercise is marvelous for my cardiovascular health."Puh-lease, no seventh grader talks like that! We'd be more like:"Yo Dave, you playin' ball this year or what?""Hell yeah, bro. Gotta stay swooshin' and get my heart pumpin', know what I mean?"Maybe I'll suggest some dialogue rewrites to my teacher. Keep it real, ya know?Despite some boring parts, I did篇2My Life as a 7th GraderHey there! My name is Emily and I'm a 7th grader at Oakwood Middle School. Today I'm going to tell you all about my super exciting life as a 12-year-old middle schooler!First up, school. I have to be at Oakwood by 8am every morning, which means my mom has to wake me up at 6:30am. No lie, that's pretty brutal for a tween like me who loves her sleep. But I've gotten kind of used to it over the past couple of years. My first class is English with Mrs. Thompson. She's actually pretty cool as far as teachers go. We're reading The Outsiders right now, which is this classic book about greaser kids in the 1960s. I have to admit, it's way more interesting than I expected an old book to be. Although I don't think I'll ever be caught dead using words like "greaser"!Next up is math with Mr. Patel. Or as my friend Jayden calls him, "The Patel Patrol." Get it? Because he's always patrolling the classroom to catch anyone not paying attention. Math is probably my worst subject, but I'm giving it my best shot this year. I really don't want to end up in the remedial math class in 8th grade. How embarrassing would that be?Then I have geography and biology before lunch. The best part of the day is definitely lunch period. My friends and I always sit at the same table in the corner of the cafeteria. We gossip about things like who's dating who, which teachers are night trolls, and score each other's outfits on a scale of 1 to 10. Cafeteria food is pretty gross, but you get used to the mystery meals after a while. In the afternoon, I have Spanish, history, and art. I'm actually semi-decent at Spanish, since my parents started speaking it to me when I was little. But don't ask me to read or write it! History is okay, but kind of a snooze-fest. And art is fun, despite Ms. Jenkins being a little eccentric. After school, my life is officially crazy town. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I have soccer practice until 5pm. The games are always on Saturdays. I'm not a star player or anything, but I do alright. My parents cry "Footbonkers!" from the sidelines, which is superlame but also kind of cute.Tuesdays and Thursdays are taken up by dance team practice. I've been a dancer since I was 3 years old. These days I'm really into hip hop, although we have to do loads of other styles like ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical too. Dance competitions arealways so nerve-wracking, but I live for that adrenaline rush you get onstage.Friday nights are my only real free time. Sometimes I'll go to the movies with my squad. Other times we'll hit up the mall and buy loads of stuff we don't need with our pitiful allowances. And occasionally we'll have a sleepover at someone's house and binge-watch Netflix shows until the wee hours.Weekends are a frenzy of homework, soccer games, dance rehearsals, and desperate attempts to hang out with my besties Mia and Zara. Oh, and a ton of nagging from my parents to clean my pig sty of a room. I try to squeeze in some chill time for Instagramming, TikToking, and bingeing on YouTube vids too.Phew! That's a week in the life of this 7th grade girl. Looking back, I can't believe how much stuff I cram into just 7 days. Keeps me humble though - the instant something starts going well, like making the dance team or the A-squad for soccer, my parents swoop in to remind me "You think you're big cool, but you're still just a little 7th grader."Truer words were never spoken! No matter how grown up I sometimes feel, I've still got 6 more years of this middle school/high school chaos ahead of me. And you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. These are supposed to be theawesomest, most carefree years of my life. Why would I want to rush through them?So draw up a chair sometime, and let me tell you a few more tales from the life of this very average, very busy, very happy 7th grade girl. Things might get a little crazy, but That's just how we middle schoolers roll!篇3Unit 9: My HeroHi friends! Today I want to tell you all about my hero. My hero is the coolest, bravest, strongest person ever! Can you guess who it is? I'll give you a hint - it's someone super close to me.That's right, my hero is my older brother Sam! He's 15 years old and in 9th grade. I look up to him so much. Let me tell you all the reasons why Sam is my #1 hero.First of all, Sam is really good at sports. He plays on the school soccer team and he's one of the star players. At his games, he runs up and down the field kicking the ball with so much energy. He scores a ton of goals too! I go to all his games to cheer him on. One time, the other team was being really meanand playing dirty. But Sam didn't let it get to him. He just played his best and our team won. I was so proud of how he handled himself. Sam is seriously an amazing athlete.Another reason Sam is my hero is because he's super smart. He gets straight A's in all his classes without even trying that hard. Whenever I need help with my homework, Sam explains things in a way that makes it all make sense. Math is his best subject - he's like a calculator! My parents are always bragging about how smart Sam is. I want to be just like him when I'm older and get good grades too.But you know what I admire most about Sam? How kind and caring he is. Sam is never mean to me, even when I'm being really annoying like little brothers can be sometimes. When I'm having a bad day, he always cheers me up by telling jokes or letting me play video games with him. On my birthday last year, he got me the coolest Lego set. It meant so much that he picked out a present just for me. Sam also volunteers at the animal shelter every weekend to play with the dogs and cats. He just has such a big heart.Every year for Christmas, our family sponsors a kid from a poor family and gets them gifts. Sam is the one who always picks out the best toys and games. He understands how lucky we areand wants to make other kids happy too. Whenever I see a kid picking on someone at school, I think about how Sam would never do that. He treats everyone with kindness and respect, no matter what. I really look up to him for being such a caring person.I could go on and on about why Sam is the best big brother and my ultimate hero. He's an incredible athlete, an awesome student, and most importantly, has a heart of gold. Sam always puts others first and uses his talents to help people. He's the kind of person who makes the world a better place, you know? When I grow up, I want to be just like Sam - good at sports, smart in school, and kind to everyone around me. He sets such a great example for me to follow. I'm so lucky to have an amazing role model like Sam as my big brother. To me, he's a real life superhero! So there you have it - my hero is Sam! He's the coolest guy I know and I look up to him so much. Whenever I need inspiration, I just think about how awesome my brother is. Thanks for letting me tell you all about my one and only hero, Sam! Who is your hero? I'd love to hear about them too.篇4Unit 9 - My FamilyHi friends! Today I want to tell you all about my family. My family is the best family ever! We have so much fun together.First, let me introduce my mom and dad. My mom's name is Sarah and she is 38 years old. She has long brown hair and pretty green eyes. My dad's name is Michael and he is 40 years old. He is tall with short black hair. My mom works as a teacher at my elementary school. Can you believe that? It's so cool having your mom as a teacher! My dad works at a big company downtown in an office.I have one brother named Jake. He is 12 years old and is in 6th grade. Jake plays on the school basketball team and is really good at sports. I try to practice basketball with him in our driveway but he's too tall for me! Jake and I bicker a lot because he thinks he's so cool being an older kid now. But we also have a lot of fun playing video games together when we're not fighting. My family wouldn't be complete without our dog Buddy! Buddy is a golden retriever and he's 5 years old. He loves to play fetch and go for walks around the neighborhood with us. Whenever I get home from school, Buddy comes running up wagging his tail so excited to see me. He's definitely my best furry friend. On the weekends, my family likes to go on little adventures together. Sometimes we go bowling, or to the movies, or just have a picnic at the park. My favorite is when we go hiking on the trails by the river. I like looking for cool rocks and enjoying the fresh air. We always make sure to bring snacks and water for our hike.In the summer, we take a big vacation somewhere fun. Two years ago we went to Florida and stayed at a resort right near the beach. We swam in the ocean, built sandcastles, and I even tried surfing (but fell off a lot!). Last year we drove up north to go camping in the mountains. We slept in a tent, went canoeing on the lake, and made s'mores over the campfire. This summerwe're hoping to go to Disneyland!Even though vacations are amazing, I also really love just hanging out at home with my family. On Friday nights we have movie nights where we buy pizzas, make popcorn, and watch a new movie together while cuddled up on the couch under blankets. It's the best! Some of my other favorite traditions are celebrating holidays together. At Christmas we put up a huge tree and hang lights all around the outside of our house. We bake tons of Christmas cookies and swap silly presents on Christmas morning. ForHalloween we carve pumpkins into funny jack-o-lanterns and I dress up in a crazy costume to go trick-or-treating. On Thanksgiving we have the entire family over for a giant turkey dinner. Grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins all come to our house. We go around the table saying what we're thankful for - I'm always thankful for my awesome family!I'm so lucky to have such a loving, fun family. We may get on each other's nerves sometimes, but at the end of the day we're there for each other no matter what. My family makes me feel safe, happy, and loved. I honestly can't imagine a better family than mine. They are the best! What about you? What does your family like to do for fun? Do you have any special family traditions? I'd love to hear all about your family too. Families are the best, aren't they? Well, that's all I have to say for today. Thanks for reading about my wonderful family!篇5Unit 9 - A Letter to a PenpalHey there! My name is Tommy and I'm in 5th grade. My teacher Ms. Johnson told us we have to write a letter to a penpalfor our homework this week. I've never had a penpal before, so I'm really excited!I'll start by telling you a little bit about myself. I'm 10 years old and I live in a small town called Oakville. It's right near the forest and there are lots of parks and hiking trails nearby which is awesome. My favorite subject in school is science because I love learning about animals and nature. My least favorite is probably math - I just find it kind of boring.Speaking of animals, I have the most adorable pet dog named Rufus. He's a golden retriever and he's my very best friend. We go on walks together every day after school and he always gets so excited to play fetch. I also have an annoying little sister named Emma who is 8 years old. She's always trying to tag along with me and my friends which is really embarassing! What about you - do you have any siblings or pets? Some of my favorite things to do for fun are riding my bike, swimming at the lake in summer, and building forts in the backyard with my friends. We just finished building a massive fort last weekend and we're working on adding a second floor to it this weekend. It's gonna be the coolest fort ever when it's done!I also love reading, especially fantasy books about magic and mythical creatures. Have you read any good books lately? At school, I hang out with my best friends Jake and Timmy at recess. The three of us are totally inseparable. We've been best buds ever since kindergarten. Our favorite games to play at recess are four square, wall ball, and kickball. I'm awesome at all those games...well except maybe kickball since I have trouble kicking the ball very far. But I make up for it with my speed when I'm running the bases! This year for my birthday in March, my parents got me a brand new video game system. It's the latest Gamexon console and it is so cool! My favorite games are the racing ones where you get to drive super fast cars and motorcycles. I've already beaten like half the tracks in Super Turbo Rally 5. Let me know if you play video games and what your favorite ones are!Ooh I almost forgot, for our lunch break at school we always get 25 minutes to go outside and play before eating our packed lunches. My favorite lunch that my mom makes is a turkey and cheese sandwich with an apple and some chips. Simple but delicious! What kinds of foods do you like?Anyway, those are some of the main things about my life that I can think of for now. Learning about you and where you live will be really cool. I've never had a penpal from anothercountry before! I'll have to ask my teacher for some tips on what kinds of questions I should ask you.I really hope we can become good friends through these letters. It will be nice to have a penpal to tell all my stories and adventures to. I can already picture us sending each other pictures and souvenirs from our towns. This is going to be so much fun!Well, I think that's all for my first letter. I'll sign off for now but I can't wait to get your response! Take care!Your new penpal,Tommy篇6Unit 9: FriendshipHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. In this unit, we learned all about friendship. It was really fun and interesting!First, we talked about what it means to be a good friend. A good friend is someone who is kind, caring, and supportive. They listen when you need to talk and try to understand how you feel.A true friend won't judge you or make fun of you. Instead, they accept you for who you are.We read a really cool story about two best friends named Alex and Sam. Alex was having a hard time because his parents were getting divorced. His best friend Sam was really there for him. Sam listened patiently as Alex talked about his feelings. He gave Alex encouragement and reminded him that the divorce wasn't his fault. With Sam's support, Alex was able to get through that difficult period. This story taught me how important it is to be a supportive friend, especially when someone is going through a tough time. Then we learned about qualities that make a friendship strong, like trust, honesty, and loyalty. You have to be able to trust your friend to keep your secrets and have your back. It's also important to be honest with each other and not lie or keep things from one another. And true friends are loyal - they stick by you no matter what.We did an activity where we wrote down what we value most in a friend. I said I value kindness, a good sense of humor, and someone who likes having fun and going on adventures with me. Having shared interests and being able to laugh together makes a friendship so much better! Our teacher also talked about how friendships change over time. When you're a kid, you might have a closer group of friendsthat you do everything with. But as you get older, your friends may change as your interests and lives take different paths. She said it's normal and okay for some friendships to grow apart over time. The most important thing is to have a few really good, close friends you can count on.We also learned about challenges that can come up in friendships, like arguments, jealousy, or being excluded by others. We talked about ways to communicate better, see another perspective, and resolve conflicts in a healthy way. I learned that it's important to talk it out instead of getting angry or giving someone the silent treatment. Understanding where the other person is coming from and finding a compromise is key.My favorite part was the activity where we wrote letters to a friend expressing our appreciation for them. I wrote a letter to my best friend Katie, thanking her for always making me laugh and being such a fun, loyal friend. I'm going to give it to her next time I see her.Overall, this unit taught me that true friendship is really special and important. A good friend is someone you can trust, who has your back, and who you can count on no matter what. They accept you for who you are and make you feel cared for.Having great friends makes life so much happier and more fun! I feel very lucky to have such amazing friends in my life.。
