Duolingo 口语 答案1. describe a time you were temted to lie, What did you want to lie about? why did you want to lie about it?I have always wanted to own a pet cat to accompany me. However, myparents were unwilling to accept a cat to our home since they believed thatthey would need to invest a lot of energy and time in taking care of it. Oneday, my classmate Brenda asked me whether I would like to own a small catthat was given birth by her pet cat. Out of my desire for a cat, I broughtCoco back home. Since I knew that both of my parents were nice people, Iintended to tell them that I found Coco on the street and without our help,Coco would not be able to grow up. However, they figured out that Cocowas from my friend's home even before I completed my story since a smallcat on the street would never be as healthy as Coco. Nevertheless, theyaccepted Coco as our new family member as I promised that I could look after her. (164)2. Describe a happy event of your life. What was the event? When did it occur? Why it is a happy and memorable event for you?A happy event of my life was the time my family went on a family trip to asmall park not far from our home. Last week, my family and I shared ourpersonal experiences and difficulties we encountered in our daily life whenrowing a boat on the lake, which strengthened our family ties. By sharingour stories and secrets like friends, my parents and I successfully closedthe generation gap between us. The harmonious atmosphere is really happyand memorable to me. The most important reason is that my family rarelyhas the time to have fun together because my parents are always busy withtheir workload and I am also quite stressed with my school tasks. Therefore, such a pleasant family reunion would always be a precious and enjoyable memory for each of us. (137)3. What is something or experience that you wish could have or do?If possible, I wish I could have the chance to study abroad. To begin with, studying abroad allows me to appreciate a different educational system. While enriching my academic knowledge, I can learn from the differentperspectives held by professors of various backgrounds. Thus, I candevelop a more holistic view about issues and subject contents, henceavoiding being biased or overly subjective. Besides, overseas studying alsoenables me to appreciate the cultural differences between my homecountry and the country I study in. With high exposure to foreign cultures, Ican obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the world we live in andsocialize with people who have various cultural backgrounds. In general, Iwish to study overseas for it can enrich my knowledge and world views. (128)4. What are the differences between a kind of movies older people watch when they were young and contempora Thanks to the development of technology, people nowadays can empathizewith characters in movies shown more easily because of the emergence of3D and 4D movies. Specifically, more giant screens and better audio equipment enable film-goers today to enjoy the unprecedented viewingexperience. However, at the same time, the widely accessible Internetallows movies to be shared across geographical boundaries, which rendersproducing movies today to be more profitable than those in the past.Consequently, many directors produce movies for economic gains insteadof presenting a memorable story to the audience. With thecommercialization of the movie industry, movies' function of spreadingvalues has been less effective. Therefore, I believe that while the experienceof watching movies in the cinema has been enhanced, the inherent value ofthe movies nowadays is no longer comparable to those in the past. (139)5. Describe an important letter that you received.Who wrote it to you? What was the letter about? How did it make you feel?I once received a letter from my form teacher Mr. Han after our midtermexamination, immediately after I got back my exam results. Mr. Han wasalso my English teacher, and in this letter, she firstly comforted me aboutthe fact that I failed this paper. Originally, I was startled by the mark andstarted to question myself why I didn't put in more effort in the preparationprocess. Then I doubted that I was not intelligent enough to learn thissubject. However, in this letter, Mr. Han encouraged me that this paper washarder than our usual practice and I have the potential to achieve higher if Icontinue to work hard. After reading this letter, I was touched by Mr. Han'scare for me. Most importantly, I was re-energized with the determination tomake progress in the next semester. (141)6. What kind of places and activities are appealing to old people , why?Places and activities that could enhance the elderly’s physical fitness whilegiving them a sense of home are appealing to old people. Firstly, the elderlyusually suffer from physical weakness, which renders activities such asclimbing mountains and hiking attractive to them. By engaging in exercisewith their friends from places like clubs, the elderly could feel rejuvenated. Moreover, since their children and grandchildren are busy with their ownjobs or schoolwork, the elderly could be accompanied by their peersthrough taking part in a tour group and thus find a sense of home. Forexample, my grandfather Joseph swims with his friends every week to keepfit while fostering the relationships among them. The experience ofswimming every week allows him to stay mentally and physically healthyeven though he is already 70 years old. Therefore, these activities andplaces would appeal to the elderly the most. (150)7. Explain how you organize a surprise birthday party. In order to make the birthday party surprising enough for my friend, I wouldfirstly pretend with all my capabilities that I don't know it is his birthday. Then I would ask my friend to fetch a parcel for me, which contains hisbirthday, from the school mailbox and bring it to my house. All his or herother friends will deliberately ignore and isolate him for one day but gatherin my house after school to wait for his arrival. After he or she rings thedoorbell, I will let him or her in and all of us will shout "Surprise! Happybirthday!" together. There will of course be cakes and presents at the partyas well as our sincere wishes that our friend will be blessed for the wholeyear. And most importantly, we will reassure him or her that no matter what happens, we will always be there. (151)8. Describe a thing that will disturb you.Since I am a person crazy about keeping all my belongings neat and clean, any untidiness could make me feel disturbed. For example, my closet isalways orderly arranged with shirts and trousers hanging on theclothes-racks and underwear neatly folded in drawers. Although I amalways busy with my academic work and school activities, I would spendtwo hours every week to ensure that my closet is tidily and methodicallyarranged since the disorganization of my closet will disturb me. To sum up,I will feel annoyed if the quality of my life or work was sacrificed for alimited time or required efficiency. Besides, my clothes are further arranged according to the respective situation they are suitable for wearing. Like my clothes, my timetable is also classified according to the importance of eachtask to prioritize the more significant ones. In summary, the inability tomaximize my life efficiency and fulfill my maximum capabilities would disturb me. (159)9. Describe the inside of your closet, what do the contents say about your life?My closet is orderly arranged with shirts and trousers hanging on the clothes-racks and underwears neatly folded in drawers. Although I amalways busy with my academic work and school activities, I usually try toensure that my closet is tidily and methodically arranged. This exemplifiesmy fastidious and meticulous attitudes towards my life that the quality ofmy life or work should not be sacrificed for the limited time or requiredefficiency. Besides, my clothes are further arranged according to therespective situation they are suitable for wearing. Like my clothes, mytimetable is also classified according to the importance of each task toprioritize the more significant ones. This characteristic illustrates that my life is usually well-organized to maximize my life efficiency and to fulfill my maximum capabilities. (130)10. What is one item you want to add to your closet in the next year and why?Next year, I want to add scented soap to my closet. This is because nextyear I am going to study in a tropical country where there are a lot of bugsand mosquitoes. From what I have searched online, I discovered thatscented soap can help to drive away thesecloset might be helpful in keeping my closet clean. Moreover, a scentedsoap is able to give all my clothes a pleasing odour. In fact, I am going tojoin the school basketball team next year as a power forward. The frequenttraining means that I am going to sweat a lot. And with the help of scentedsoap, my shirts and shorts could stay clean instead of being smelly. (127)11. Describe the most beautiful place you have ever seen. What were you doing there and who was with you? How The most beautiful place I have ever seen is my high school duringweekends. Once during a weekend, I went back to my school alone to fetcha notebook I left in my classroom. Surprisingly, I saw many students sittingon the benches located in different corners in the school and they werestudying together with their friends. In astonishment, I asked one of themwhat they were doing in school on a day we didn't have lessons. He told methat he always came to school to study with his friends for the higherefficiency when they can supervise and encourage each other, and theyeven had a study team to regularly do so on every weekend. On that day, I sincerely admired their self-discipline. (126)12. Name something that you do to improve your concentration. How has this activity improved your ability to comI firstly start with some simple exercises like trying to keep focused on mywork for 15 minutes. Between every 15 minutes, there will be a 5-minuteinterval when I can slack and do whatever I like. This little mental rewardallows me to concentrate better on the present in order to relax properlyand justifiably later. By and by, I can elongate the concentration-time to 30 or even 50 minutes with a 10-minute interval to encourage myself tocontinue working.I believe that better concentration can help people to finish their assignedtasks more productively and hence free up more time for people to engagein activities they are truly interested in. With more time for entertainment, people's quality of life will undoubtedly be improved. (126)13. If you have children, what is one thing you would do differently from your parents? Why would you do this? Ho If I have children, I would try to send my children to study abroad instead ofstaying in China until university like me. I would do this because firstly livingalone in a foreign country can teach my children independence, which isessential for their future development as they will eventually have to solvetheir problems by themselves instead of asking others to help and waitingto be rescued. Besides, the educational system overseas is morequality-oriented with the colorful curriculum designed to develop all-roundtalents. Under such a setting, my children will not be imbued with the ideasthat they must achieve high scores to survive in this society. On thecontrary, they can pursue what they truly love and flourish with their uniquegifts besides academic intelligence. (128)14. Talk about a gift that you gave to someone recently. What was it? Who did you give it to? How did it make you Recently, I gave my younger brother a book named Harry Potter as hisbirthday present. I really look forward to seeing him become engrossed inthe magical world as I did in my childhood. I gave this book to my brotherbecause Harry Potter contains many fascinating story-lines and engrossingmagic which can enrich my brother's imagination and motivate him to thinkbeyond what is seen in our daily lives. Besides, the adventures of Harry andhis friends can also teach my brother many qualities such as resilience inthe face of challenges and fortitude while enduring adversities. Therefore, this book can not only serve as entertainment for my little brother atpresent, but it can also aid his personal development in the long run. (125)15. Talk about a vehicle that you would like to buy someday. What vehicle is that? Why do you like it so much? DoI would like to purchase an electric car in the future since this kind of carscan offer convenience to me while causing minimal pollution to theenvironment. Being powered by solar panels or batteries instead of fossilfuels, electric cars would not emit carbon dioxide that could exacerbateglobal warming. Moreover, a private electronic car enables me to travelaround the city conveniently and efficiently. However, I only intend to buythe car in the future since I am not able to drive a car currently. Moreover, the development of electric cars is still in progress and many limitations likeelectric cars' slower speed than normal cars could only be eventually solvedin the future. Therefore, I am going to buy an electric car in the future whenthe product is mature enough. (135)16. Describe a naughty thing you did when you were a child. How old were you? And did you get in trouble? When I was about 6 years old, I once drew a flower on my father's faceusing a marker while he was taking a nap. I did so in a spirit of revenge formy father snored so loudly that I could not sleep. After my father woke upand left our home, I finally regained quietness and fell asleep contentedly. However, later that day, I was scolded by my father when he came backhome after going shopping in the supermarket. He said that no wondermany passers-by glanced at him curiously and even some of hisacquaintance couldn't help laughing at him. At the end of that day, myfather did not punish me physically, but he decided to confiscate my snacks for one week. (128)17. Describe a famous historical figure form your home country. What are they known for?Do you admire them?A famous historical figure that I would like to talk about is Zhu Geliang, themilitary counselor of Country Shu during the Spring and Autumn Period, who is known for his tactics. Though with abundant natural resources,Country Shu was short of the labor force and experienced a lag ofeconomic development. However, by wisely manipulating the allocation ofresources to develop the local economy while investing in militarydevelopment, Zhu Geliang contributed significantly in shaping Country Shuinto one of the most powerful countries at that time. In light of this, I havealways been admiring Zhu Geliang. I even wish that I could have the chanceto meet him and chat with him to discuss how his tactics can be applied to today's society. (126)18. Some parents spoil their children. How might a spoiled child behave when he or she becomes an adult. Some parents spoil their children by giving the kids whatever they want andask for. Brought up under these circumstances, children will tend to beselfish and take for granted that people should give them whatever theywant. As a result, these spoiled children will become self-centered adultswho take other people's kindness for granted and disregard the feelings and well-being of others. What's worse, the inability to empathize withothers would hinder the formation of their interpersonal skills and thusfurther affect their future development. Besides, they will be greatlydistressed when they encounter a situation they dislike and cannot endurebeing challenged or rejected. Consequently, they will likely be easilydefeated by difficulties and will hardly recover after a setback. (122)19. Describe the last place you visited with your family or close friends. What did you like most about this place? H be improved for the people who visit there? The last place that I visited with my family members is a small park next tomy home. My favorite part of the park is a lake where visitors could row aboat. Last week, my family and I shared our personal experiences anddifficulties we encountered in our daily life when rowing a boat on the lake, which strengthened our family tie. By sharing our stories and secrets likefriends, my parents and I successfully closed the generation gap betweenus. The harmonious atmosphere is really memorable to me. However, thereis one thing that I believe the park should work on to improve the visitors'experience. Specifically, because of the park's limited budget and thusshort of dustmen, there are always plastic bags left behind by visitors onthe road. By putting up more posters to remind visitors of the importance ofprotecting the environment in the park, I believe people visiting there wouldall enjoy a more delightful experience. (162) a food that you will never eat again. Why do you dislike this food? What would you do if you were offered a lot of money to eat this food for one week?A food that I would never try again is Lo Hei, a Singaporean traditional food. Singaporeans always gather with their family members to eat Lo Hei during the Chinese Spring Festival to wish each other a prosperous new year. Lo Hei is made by mixing slices of several vegetables and pouring wired-taste sources on the top. Because of the taste that comprising of sourness, saltiness, and sweetness, I really dislike Lo Hei and am determined not toeat it again. However, if I were offered a lot of money, I am willing to eat itfor one week since Lo Hei is actually healthy for the human body and thetangible reward of getting money could definitely outweigh my unwillingness to eat Lo Hei again. (125)21. Talk about staying within a budget. Why is it important to say within a budget? Who needs a budget? Do you h With the emergence of more people living paycheck-to-paycheck, the ideaof living within a budget has been brought up. In line with some people, Ibelieve that staying within a budget is very important especially for thosewho have unstable income. By saving part of one's income, he or she couldhave enough savings to solve problems when encountering emergenciessuch as diseases or accidents. In fact, I feel everyone from individuals togovernments need to have a budget. For individuals, living in a budgetallows them to save money to purchase some expensive products like theiPhone that they dream of. For governments, with limited taxes collected, allocating their budget wisely in different industries including economy andagriculture enables the country to prosper in the long run. Personally, I alsohave a personal budget to save one-third of my income so that I couldafford to travel to Europe on my own after graduation. (155)22. Describe an important tradition in your country. When do people participate in the tradition? Who participate An important tradition in Singapore is eating Lo Hei during the ChineseSpring Festival with one's family members to wish each other a prosperousnew year. Since Lo Hei is made by mixing slices of several vegetables andpouring sources on the top, it represents the idea of harmony and wealth.Although the taste is very weird as it comprises of sourness, saltiness, andsweetness, Singaporeans eat Lo Hei every year for the meaning behind it.While many people believe traditions should be preserved, I believe thatcertain traditions like eating Lo Hei should be abandoned and replaced withthe ones that are more enjoyable in modern society. For example, I feelwatching TV and chatting together during the Chinese Spring Festival ismore meaningful than eating Lo Hei. Therefore, traditions should beupdated with the progress of society. (139)23. Discuss why people daydream. What might people daydream about? What might make a person daydream? Is People usually daydream to imagine an idealized world that suits theirdefinition of a perfect world to live in. They might daydream about having abungalow or being beautiful or being extremely wealthy. Whatever theydream about is the object they long to have. Sometimes daydreaming mightbe a problem when the realization of this imagination will jeopardize the well-being of other people. However, I maintain that daydreaming isbeneficial in most cases especially when it serves the purpose to motivatepeople to work towards their dreams. When people are fascinated by theidealized world, they can temporarily escape from the vexation orfrustration in their real life. Then they will be rejuvenated by their ideals andreturn to their work again energized, hoping for a better future. (128)24.Talk about your favorite restaurant, where is it? What type of fooddoes it serve? How often do you go there? Why is it your favorite? My favorite restaurant is Haidilao, a famous Sichuan hotpot restaurant.Haidilao serves a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetables that can beeaten in the hotpot as well as some fruits and beancurd as desserts.Normally, I go to eat at Haidilao once or twice a month with a group offriends. This restaurant is my favorite primarily because of the ambiencethat everyone eats from the same pot and we can always chat and laugharound the pot. As such, I can reinforce the bonds with my friends throughthis warm reunion. Besides, the considerate customer service provided inHaidilao is also worth mentioning. The waiters are always polite and gentle, making every customer feel at home. (118)。

My favourite restaurant is/I would like to creative a holiday to honor…(直接回答问题),约15词第二段:For one thing/reason…For another…这一部分属于文章核心内容,绝大多数题目能在这一段写出两个层次就足够了,毕竟时间也没那么多,对于不能盲打的同学来说绝对是够了,约50词第三段:In conclusion,…总结文章观点,约15词。
