英语专四考试2018年作文范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Big Exam AdventureLast year, I had to take a really important test called the CET-4. It stands for College English Test Band 4. I'm just a kid in elementary school, so I'm not really sure why I had to take a college exam! But my parents said it was super important for my future. At first, I wasn't too worried about it. I thought "How hard can an English test be? I can speak and read English pretty well already." Boy, was I wrong! The CET-4 was no joke.My parents hired a special tutor to help me prepare. Ms. Wang came over twice a week to drill me on vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and listening skills. She was really strict but also really nice when I understood something well. The vocabulary was the hardest part for me. There were so many big words I had never heard before! Words like "ubiquitous" and "tenacious." I thought those sounded more likedinosaur names than English words. Ms. Wang made me make flashcards for each new word and then quiz me over and over. It felt like torture at the time, but I'm glad she pushed me so hard.篇2My Big Adventure Taking the CET-4 Exam!Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 10-year-old 5th grader. I love reading, writing stories, and learning new things, especially about other languages and cultures. I even taught myself some Spanish by watching videos online!A few months ago, my English teacher Mr. Davis篇3My Wonderful Journey to the MoonHello everyone! My name is Amy, and I want to tell you about my amazing journey to the moon. It was the most exciting adventure I have ever had!One sunny day, my classmates and I went on a school trip to the space center. We were all very excited because we were going to learn about space and even see a real rocket! The rocket was huge and shiny, just like a giant silver bullet. After we finished our tour of the space center, the scientists surprised us by saying that we could take a trip to the moon! Can you believe it? I was jumping up and down with joy! The scientists told us that we would be the first group of kids to visit the moon. Wow!We put on special suits that made us look like real astronauts. They were white and had lots of buttons and zippers.I felt like a superhero! Then we climbed inside a small spaceship. It was cozy but had all the things we needed for our journey."3... 2... 1... Blast off!" shouted the astronaut in command. The spaceship shook and rumbled, and suddenly we were flying up into the sky. It was so fast that my tummy tickled! As we traveled through space, I looked out of the window and saw millions of stars. They were twinkling like diamonds in the dark sky. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. I couldn't stop smiling! After a while, we reached the moon. It looked like a big gray ball covered in dust. We landed gently, and when the door opened, I took my first step on the moon's surface. It felt so strange, like walking on a bouncy trampoline! We explored the moon and collected moon rocks. They were smooth and shiny, and some of them even sparkled. I put them in a special bag to bring back to Earth. I couldn't wait to show them to my friends! We also saw the footprints of the astronauts who came before us. It was amazing to think that humans had actually been here before. I felt like I was a part of history! After a while, it was time to go back home. I was a little sad to leave the moon, but I knew that I would never forget this incredible journey. We got back into the spaceship and flew back to Earth. The landing was a bit bumpy, but we were all safe and sound. When we returned to school, everyone was waiting for us. We showed them the moon rocks and told them all about our adventure. They were amazed and asked lots of questions. I felt like a real space explorer! In the end, my journey to the moon was the most exciting thing I have ever done. It made me realize that the universe is a big and wonderful place. Who knows, maybe one day I will become a real astronaut and explore even more distant planets. Until then, I will cherish the memories of my trip to the moon forever. That's the end of my story. Thank you for listening! Dream big and reach for the stars – you never know where your own wonderful journey might take you! ✨篇4My Big Book ReportHi everybody! My name is Lily and I'm in fifth grade. My teacher Mrs. Robinson asked us all to write a big book report for our English class. I picked the book "Charlotte's Web" by E.B. White. It's a really famous book about a pig named Wilbur who gets saved by a super cool spider named Charlotte. Here's my book report all about it!The story starts on a farm. There's an old sheep named Louise who has a lamb named Wilbur. But Wilbur isn't just any old pig—he's a special little pig who loves life. One day, the farmer Mr. Arable comes and tells Wilbur he's going to be killed and turned into smoked bacon and ham! Can you imagine? Poor Wilbur gets so scared.Luckily, Wilbur's friend Fern (who is an 8-year-old girl) begs her dad not to kill Wilbur. So Mr. Arable lets Fern take care of Wilbur and he grows up safe in the family's barn. When Wilburgets bigger though, he has to go live in Uncle Homer's farm with all the other animals like sheep, geese, and cows.At first, Wilbur feels really lonely at the new farm without any friends. But then one night, he meets a spider named Charlotte. Charlotte is no ordinary spider—she can read and write words in her web! She decides to use her web to try and save Wilbur's life by writing cool words that make Wilbur look amazing.Charlotte writes the word "TERRIFIC" in her web one morning. All the people on the farm are so shocked and think Wilbur must be some terrific pig if the words showed up in the web! Then a little later, Charlotte writes "RADIANT" to describe Wilbur. The people are even more amazed this time. Wilbur starts to get really popular because of Charlotte's cool words in the web. Everybody loves him! After that, Charlotte writes "HUMBLE" which makes the people love Wilbur even more for being so terrific yet humble too. Nobody knows it's just Charlotte the spider behind all the mysterious words showing up every day.Things keep going well until the summer ends. That's when Charlotte has to explain the hard truth to Wilbur—she's going todie since her egg sac is hatching with her children soon. Wilbur gets super sad at the thought of losing his best friend. But Charlotte promises her children will take care of Wilbur after she's gone. Sure enough, after Charlotte unfortunately dies, her children (all 514 of them!) weave words of encouragement and praise into their webs to make people keep loving Wilbur. At the very end, Wilbur even gets awarded a prize at a fair for being such an amazing radiant, terrific, and humble pig. All thanks to Charlotte's web of words that protected and made sure Wilbur wouldn't be killed!I absolutely loved Charlotte's Web! It's such a sweet story about true friendship. Charlotte the spider used her smarts and talents to help save her friend's life in a really creative way that touched so many people.I think one big lesson in the book is that true friends will do anything to stick up and protect each other through hard times. Charlotte and Wilbur's friendship was so strong even though they were two totally different animals. Their love for each other was unconditional.Another lesson I took away is that we should appreciate people (and animals!) for their inner qualities andspecialness—not just judging them on the outside. At first the people thought Wilbur was just an ordinary pig only good for bacon. But Charlotte's web made them see what an incredibly terrific, radiant, and humble soul Wilbur truly was. We shouldn't underestimate anyone! My favorite part was probably when Charlotte first started writing words in her web and the people were so shocked and amazed. I wonder what that must have felt like to suddenly discover this spider could spin genius phrases and words out of her silk! I bet they thought they were going insane at first.I also really liked how the story focused on the power of language and words. Just a few basic words in a web totally changed Wilbur's destiny and fate just by making people view him in a positive new light. It shows how persuasive and influential the choice of words can be—something as small as a little spider web message could sway people's entire opinion on whether to save a pig's life or not.Overall, I absolutely loved this book and think it deserves five out of five stars! The mix of humor, lovable characters, beautiful writing, and impactful themes makes it an instant kids' classic in my mind. I can totally see why this story has been sopopular and beloved since it first came out over 60 years ago in 1952.It's books like this that really inspire me to work hard on my own reading, writing, and language skills. Maybe I'll grow up to write an amazing award-winning book that touches people's hearts and lives forever—just like the brilliant E.B. White did with "Charlotte's Web."Anyways, that's my book report! I hope you all pick up a copy and give this heart-warming tale a read sometime. It's perfect for kids but even adults can learn a lot from its lessons on friendship, acceptance, and using words to change the world for the better. Thanks for reading my essay!篇5My Super Awesome Summer Vacation!Hi everyone! My name is Timmy and I just had the best summer vacation ever! I went on so many fun adventures and did a bunch of really cool stuff. I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. I was so excited because my parents promised me we were going to go on a big trip during the summer. They didn't tell me where we were goingthough, it was gonna be a surprise! I could barely sit still in class thinking about all the amazing places we might visit. Finally, the last bell rang and summer officially started! My mom picked me up and when I got in the car, she told me to close my eyes. When I opened them again, we were at the airport!I knew right away we must be going somewhere really far away and exciting. I started jumping up and down, I was so happy. After we got through security and everything, we finally got on the airplane. I had never been on a real plane before, so I was a little nervous at first. But it was actually really cool! I got my own little TV and snacks and everything. The best part was when we took off and started flying up into the clouds. It felt like I was in a rocket ship blasting off into space! The flight took forever, but I didn't mind too much because I just stared out the window the whole time, watching the pretty clouds and looking down at all the tiny houses and cars far below us. It was like being a giant looking down on a little miniature world! I also played some games on the TV and had a fun time. Finally, after what felt like days and days, the pilot said we would be landing soon. I looked out the window and saw the most beautiful place I had ever seen in my whole life - agorgeous tropical island with bright blue water, sandy beaches, and tons of palm trees. I could hardly believe my eyes!"Mom, are we in Hawaii?!" I shouted. She laughed and said, "No Timmy, this is an island in the Caribbean called Jamaica. Get ready for the most amazing adventure!"As soon as we landed and got off the plane, I was hit by a wave of hot, humid air. It felt like stepping into a sauna! The airport itself was really small and open-air. We grabbed our bags and headed outside to wait for our ride to the resort. The very first thing I noticed were all the incredible smells. It was like something delicious was cooking everywhere you went. There were also lots of brightly colored buildings and vehicles going by, very different from back home. And towering above everything were swaying palm trees as far as the eye could see. I just wanted to take it all in.Finally, our shuttle arrived to take us to the beach resort my parents had booked for us to stay at. It was only about a 30 minute drive, but I couldn't believe the scenery we passed along the way. Little colorful houses and huts dotted the lush green hillsides. People were walking, riding bikes or horses, andhanging out on their porches, seemingly without a care in the world. It looked like a totally different world from the one I knew. When we arrived at the resort, my jaw just dropped. It was the most beautiful, tropical paradise I had ever seen. Everything was open-air, with thatched roofs and wooden walkways crisscrossing between buildings. And right in the middle was the biggest pool I've ever seen, complete with a waterfall andswim-up bar (just a juice bar for kids like me though!)But even better than the pool was the fact that the resort was right on one of the most gorgeous beaches imaginable. The water was so incredibly blue and crystal clear. And the sand was like a warm, white carpet as far as you could see in both directions. There were even little tiki huts set up on the beach if you wanted some shade. I had never seen anything quite like it before. As soon as we dropped our stuff off in our amazing beachfront villa, I ran straight for the ocean. I had been waiting my whole life to finally go swimming in water that looked like a tropical paradise! The second my toes hit the warm, gentle waves, I knew this was going to be the best vacation ever.Over the next week, we did so much fun stuff that I can't even remember it all. We went snorkeling and saw incrediblycolorful fish and coral. We took a glass-bottom boat tour and saw shipwrecks and huge sea turtles. We went hiking through the jungle and saw all sorts of crazy birds and plants. We also explored caves and went tubing down a beautiful river. But most of the time, we just relaxed and played at the incredible beach. I probably spent more time in the ocean than I did out of it! I worked on my tan, buried my dad in the sand, and drank about a million coconut drinks with those cute little umbrellas in them. It was absolute heaven for a kid like me.One of the highlights was going into town and exploring the local markets. The sights, sounds and smells were just unbelievable. There were stalls selling fresh fruits I had never seen before, handmade crafts and clothes with the brightest colors you can imagine, and delicious local foods cooking right out in the open. I tried so many new and exciting things like jerk chicken, fried plantains, fresh sugar cane juice, and more. The town itself was such a stark contrast from the fancy beach resorts. The buildings were older and more rundown, with people's laundry hanging to dry and stray dogs roaming the streets. But it had such an infectious energy and spirit that I loved experiencing. People were playing music, dancing, laughing together on their porches. It felt so vibrant and alive.Whenever my parents would try to get me to leave and go back to the resort, I would beg them to stay just a little longer so I could keep soaking in all the new sights and sounds. I didn't want to miss a single thing. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't have a chance to go to a local school and make friends with the kids from Jamaica. That could have been a really cool experience. Before I knew it, our week in paradise was up and it was time to head back home. I was so incredibly sad to leave but also so grateful that I had the chance to experience such an amazing place. The memories of swimming in that bright blue ocean, hiking through the jungle, and exploring the busy towns will stick with me forever. As we took off on the airplane and I watched the island fade into the distance, I made a vow to myself that I would find a way to go back to the Caribbean again someday. In fact, I decided right then and there that my dream is to travel the world and experience as many new cultures and adventures as I possibly can. There's just so much amazing stuff to see and do out there!Well, that's the story of my super awesome summer vacation to Jamaica. Between you and me, I'm already bugging my parents about where we're going next year for summer break. Ican't wait to share more travel stories with you all soon! Thanks for reading, friends!篇6My Favorite AnimalHello everyone! Today I want to tell you about my favorite animal. It's the dolphin! Dolphins are amazing creatures that live in the ocean. They are super smart and friendly. I love them so much!First of all, dolphins are very smart. Did you know that they are one of the smartest animals in the world? They can learn tricks and even communicate with humans. I saw a video where dolphins were playing basketball with their trainers. It was so cool! I wish I could play basketball with dolphins too.Secondly, dolphins are really friendly. They always seem to be smiling, and they love to play with each other. I once went to an aquarium and saw dolphins swimming together and jumping out of the water. It looked like they were having so much fun! I wish I could swim and play with dolphins too.Another reason why I love dolphins is because they are very graceful. When they swim, they move so smoothly through thewater. It's like they are dancing! I wish I could swim like a dolphin and be as graceful as them.Dolphins also have a special ability called echolocation. They use sound waves to find things in the ocean, even if it's dark or murky. It's like they have their own built-in GPS! I think that's really cool and useful. In conclusion, dolphins are my favorite animal because they are smart, friendly, graceful, and have amazing abilities like echolocation. I hope one day I can see dolphins up close and maybe even swim with them. They are such incredible creatures! That's all for my essay. I hope you enjoyed learning about dolphins with me. Thank you for listening!。

2018年6月英语四级真题作文Once upon a time, I remember the summer of 2018, the heat was intense and the English exam loomed large. For many students, the CET-4 was a hurdle to cross, a test of their English proficiency. And among all the sections, the writing part always seemed to be the most challenging. You see, writing in English is not just about grammar and vocabulary. It's about expressing your thoughts and ideas in a way that's clear and understandable to a native speaker. And that's why, when I sat down to tackle the 2018 June CET-4 writing prompt, I knew I had to be creative and spontaneous. The prompt was something about the impact of technology on our daily lives. At first, I was a bit stumped. But then, an idea popped into my head. I thought about how technology has made our lives easier in so many ways, but also how it has sometimes taken away the joy of simple things.Like, remember when we used to play outdoors with our friends? Now, everyone's glued to their phones, scrolling through social media or playing games. It's like we've forgotten how to have fun。
1My Life as a KidHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I love being a kid and I want to tell you all about my fun and exciting life!Every morning, my mom wakes me up bright and early for school. I don't like waking up that early, but she says it's important to get there on time. I go to Green Meadows Elementary School right down the street from my house. My best friend Johnny lives next door, so we always walk together.School is okay I guess. My favorite subjects are art class because I love drawing pictures and gym class because I get to run around and play games. Reading is pretty fun too if the book is really engaging. But I've never been a huge fan of math - I just find it kind of boring having to crunch all those numbers!During recess, Johnny and I spend most of our time on the playground. We race each other on the swingsets, play tag, shoot hoops, and dig in the sandbox. Sometimes the other kidslet us join in their games like four square or kickball too which is awesome. Ah, to be a carefree kid again! After school, my mom picks me up and then I go home and do my homework. I really don't like homework very much - I'd way rather be outside playing! But my parents insist that I have to get it all done before anything else. Once I'm finished though, I get to have a snack and then go outside and play until dinner. My neighborhood is the best place for kids! There's a bunch of us around the same age who all live on my street. We have so much fun playing freeze tag, building forts, riding our bikes around, and using our imaginations. In the summer when it stays light out longer, we can keep playing until way after dinner too. That's the best!Speaking of dinner, my favorite meals are anything with chicken nuggets or pizza. My parents make me eat vegetables too though which isn't my favorite. But they say it's important to eat healthy foods to grow up big and strong. I'd rather just eat dessert for every meal if I could! After dinner, I take a bath and then get ready for bed. Sometimes if I'm really good, my parents will let me stay up late and watch a movie or play video games for a little while. But I cannever stay up too late because I have to rest up for another day of school the next morning. On the weekends, we have even more fun! If the weather is nice, we'll go to the park and I can run around for hours. Or we'll take a family trip to the beach or go hiking. Inside days, we'll go to the movies, play board games, or head to the indoor trampoline park. Sometimes I get to have friends over for a sleepover too which is a total blast!Birthday parties are definitely one of the highlights of being a kid. Not only do you get showered with awesome presents, but you can invite all your friends over for games, cake, ice cream, and fun! My parents always make it really special for me. One year they even rented a bouncy castle! How cool is that?To be honest, being an adult seems kind of boring if you ask me. You have to go to work all day, pay bills, and can't just sit around playing video games whenever you want. No thank you! I plan on staying a kid for as long as possible. This life really is the best - no responsibilities, lots of playtime and fun, and you get treated like royalty on your birthday. What's not to love?Well, that's a little bit about my life as an 8-year-old kid. Of course, there's a ton more I could say, but I hope this gives you a little peek into how great it is. Maybe it will help all yougrown-ups remember how freeing and fun childhood can be! If you'll excuse me now though, I've got a very important mission - my friends are waiting for me outside to play pretend saved the world again!篇2My Awesome Summer Vacation!Hi! My name is Lily and I'm 8 years old. I just started 3rd grade a few weeks ago. My teacher asked us to write about what we did over summer vacation, so I'm going to tell you all about my totally awesome summer! It was the last day of 2nd grade when summer vacation finally started. I was super excited because my parents had promised to take me and my little brother Tommy on a long trip! We were going to drive way out west to the Grand Canyon. I had never been there before, but I had seen pictures and it looked amazing. The first couple days of the drive were kind of boring to be honest. We drove for several hours each day, passing through lots of flat plains and farm fields. Tommy and I tried to stay entertained by playing road trip games like I Spy and the License Plate Game. But after a while, we got pretty bored of those. Finally, after what felt like forever, we made it to the Grand Canyon! I couldn't believe how massive and deep it was when we finally saw it with our own eyes. The pictures didn't do it justice at all. We stayed in a little cabin right near the canyon's rim for a few nights. Every morning, I would wake up, look out the window, and just be in awe at the breathtaking view.We spent our days hiking along the rim trails and learning all about how the Grand Canyon was formed by erosion over millions of years. The ranger guides taught us about the different rock layers and showed us fossils and autres cool stuff. We even got to go down into the canyon a little ways on a guided mule ride, which was scary but awesome! After several amazing days at the Grand Canyon, we had to start heading back home. But the trip wasn't over yet! On the way back, we stopped at some other cool places too.One of my favorites was the Petrified Forest National Park. It's a huge area in Arizona covered in petrified wood from trees that lived over 200 million years ago! The logs look just like real wood, but when you touch them, they feel like rock. We learned that over millions of years, minerals slowly replaced the original wood and turned it into solid rock while preserving the tree's appearance. It was super neat to see!We also stopped at the Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado, which is one of the highest suspension bridges in the world. You can walk out onto the bridge and look straight down over 1,000 feet to the bottom of the gorge. It was a little scary being up that high, but the views were incredible.By the time we finally made it back home after our big road trip, I felt like I had seen and learned so many amazing things. That was definitely the best summer vacation ever! I can't wait to go on more adventures like that. But I also did some fun stuff closer to home over the summer too. A few weeks after we got back from our trip, my parents signed me up for a little kids' cooking camp. I had never really cooked anything besides very simple stuff before, so I was really excited to learn. At cooking camp, we learned how to follow recipes and make all sorts of tasty dishes like quesadillas, pasta salad, muffins, and even our own personal little pizzas! The instructor taught us about things like properly measuring ingredients, food safety, and different cooking techniques. It was awesome getting to eat the yummy foods we made at the end of each class. Now that I'm a little more experienced after cooking camp, I'm going to try helping my mom out more in the kitchen. Maybe I'll even be able to cook the whole family dinner sometime! In between our big road trip and cooking camp, we also spent a lot of summer hanging out at the neighborhood pool and going to the movies. My favorite movie I saw was definitely The Incredibles 2 - it was so action-packed and funny! I also had a few sleepovers at my friends' houses, which were a blast as always.Well, those were the highlights of my summer vacation. From exploring amazing natural wonders on an epic road trip, to learning new cooking skills, to just hanging out and having fun, it was an unforgettable few months. I'm sad summer is over, but I had a great time making lots of wonderful memories. I can't wait for next summer!篇3My Favorite AnimalHi, everyone! Today I want to tell you about my favorite animal. It's a panda! Pandas are so cute and cuddly. I love everything about them!First of all, pandas have the most adorable black and white fur. They look like big, fluffy teddy bears. Whenever I see a picture of a panda, I can't help but smile. Their round faces and chubby bodies make them the cutest animals in the world.Pandas are also very special because they only eat bamboo. Can you believe it? They don't eat meat or any other plants. Bamboo is their favorite food, and they eat a lot of it every day. I think it's amazing how they can survive on just one kind of food. It must be really yummy!Another thing I love about pandas is how playful they are. They spend a lot of time climbing trees and rolling around. It's so much fun to watch them play! Sometimes they even do somersaults. I wish I could do somersaults like them. They always make me laugh and brighten my day.Pandas are endangered, which means there aren't many left in the world. That makes me really sad. I want to help protect them and make sure they have a safe place to live. It's important for all of us to take care of animals and their homes. We need to remember that every creature is important and deserves to be loved. In conclusion, pandas are my favorite animals because they are cute, eat bamboo, and love to play. They bring so much joyto my life. I hope more people will learn about them and join me in protecting these wonderful creatures. Let's all work together to make the world a better place for pandas and all animals!Thank you for listening to my essay. I hope you love pandas as much as I do.篇4My Big Important English TestHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 5th grader. Today I want to tell you all about the huge important English test I had to take last year called the TEM-8. It was really hard but I studied really really hard for it too.First of all, let me explain what the TEM-8 test is. It stands for "Test for English Majors Band 8" but even though I'm not an English major, all the kids in my grade had to take it. It tests how good we are at English listening, reading, writing, and translating. The whole test was super long and took basically all day!The listening part was first. We had to listen to recordings of people talking and answer questions about what they said. Some of the recordings were conversations between two people and others were just one person giving a speech or lecture. Theconversations were easier for me to understand but the lectures were really hard, especially when they talked about sciency or techy topics I didn't know much about. I really had to concentrate so hard!Next was the reading section. We had to read a bunch of different passages and answer comprehension questions about them. There were news articles, fiction stories, essays, and more. Some of the vocabulary was super advanced so I had to use context clues and make some smart guesses on those words. The questions were pretty tricky too and really made you think critically about the passages. After that was the translation part. We had to translate passages from English into Chinese and from Chinese back into English. I thought the English to Chinese would be easier for me since Chinese is my first language, but there were lots of tricky phrases and idioms that stumped me. And the Chinese to English translation was just brutal! My English vocabulary isn't good enough yet to smoothly translate everything.Lastly was the writing section which I was most nervous about. We had to write a short essay responding to a prompt. The prompt was about whether elementary school students should have to take a test like the TEM-8. It was pretty ironic andmeta having to write an essay about the very test I was taking! I did my best to structured it with clear arguments and examples.I worked so incredibly hard studying for this test. My parents hired me an English tutor and I attended cram classes twice a week after school. I practiced tons of mock tests and learned test strategies. Basically my entire 5th grade year revolved around preparing for the TEM-8!When the big test day finally came, I was an anxious wreck. I triple checked that I had like 10 pencils, erasers, a calculator, and everything else I needed. I barely slept the night before from nerves. At school, they separated all of us into different classrooms to take the test in silent individual settings which made it feel even more serious and high stakes. After it was finally over, I just felt so drained and relieved. Parts of it went okay for me, but other parts were just way too hard for my level. I really hoped I didn't fail it. A few weeks later, they posted the scores online and I was sooo happy when I saw that I passed! Getting a passing score on the TEM-8 was one of my biggest accomplishments last year.Even though the test was crazy difficult for a 10 year old kid like me, I'm still really glad I took it and worked so hard. It motivated me to take my English studies super seriously andimprove as much as possible. Knowing how critical English skills are going to be for my future career, I want to keep getting better and better at it. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be an English tutor teaching kids how to pass the TEM-8 themselves! So that's my epic and dramatic tale about taking the TEM-8 English exam in 5th grade. It was honestly pretty traumatic at points with all the stress and pressure, but I'm still proud of myself for powering through it. Tests like this are just part of the journey to become fluent in English. And now you know wayyyyy more about the notorious TEM-8 than you probably ever wanted to! Thanks for reading my rambling story. Until next time!篇5My Summer Vacation Adventure!Hi there! My name is Timmy and I just had the best summer vacation ever! I'm going to tell you all about the super fun and exciting things I did. Get ready for an awesome story! It all started on the last day of school. I was so happy when the bell rang because that meant no more homework or waking up early for three whole months! My mom picked me up and I could hardly sit still in the car I was so excited. When we got home, she said we were going to take a long trip to visit mygrandparents who live on the other side of the country. I've never been on a big trip like that before! The next morning, we loaded up our car with allllll our suitcases and snacks for the drive. My little sister Katie was really grumpy because she didn't want to be stuck in the car for so long. But my mom promised we'd get to see lots of cool things along the way. And you know what? She was right! After a few hours of driving through boring roads and fields, we stopped at this huuuuge canyon called the Grand Canyon. We could barely see across to the other side it was so wide and deep! The park ranger said it was carved out over millions of years by a little river. Wild, right? We got to go for a little hike along the rim and take some awesome pictures. The next stop on our road trip was this place called Petrified Forest National Park. Can you believe it used to be a forest a really really long time ago? But then the trees fell over and turned into stone over millions of years! We saw polished logs that looked just like wood but were actually rock. Some of them even had cool crystal insides. My mind was blown! We kept on driving for a couple more days, stopping to see some weird desert cacti and eat at fun diners along the way. I had a milkshake as big as my head! Finally, we made it to mygrandparents' house. I was so relieved to be out of the car and給my legs a stretch. My grandparents live on a farm so there were tons of animals to go see and play with. They had cows, horses, chickens, and even a couple goats! Grandpa taught me how to milk the cows and collect the eggs from the chicken coop. That was something I'd never done before. The goats were pretty funny too—they loved climbing on everything and being silly. But that's not all we did at my grandparents' farm. Grandma is an amazing cook so we got to help her bake allllll kinds of delicious pies, cookies, and other treats with fruit and veggies right from their garden. My favorite was her strawberry rhubarb pie—it was so sweet and tangy! We'd eat the desserts while sitting on the porch in the evening, watching the sunset over the fields. Those were really peaceful, happy times. One night, we had a huge bonfire and roasted marshmallows for s'mores. My dad showed me how to whittle wood into cool shapes while we sat around the crackling fire. We heard coyotes howling off in the distance, which was kind of spooky at first! But Grandpa said they were just communicating and looking for food. Once I knew what they were, their howls didn't seem so scary. On the 4th of July, we watched the most amazing fireworks show I've ever seen! The fireworks were being set off right over the farm's big pond, so we had a perfectly close view. Every time an especially bright or loud one would explode, I'd jump up and cheer. The colors reflecting on the water were just breathtaking. What a way to celebrate America's birthday! After a couple of wonderful weeks on the farm, it was time to say our tearful goodbyes and start the long drive back home. I was really going to miss my grandparents, feeding the animals every day, and helping out with chores. But I also couldn't wait to get back and tell my friends about my awesome summer adventures! The drive home seemed to go by much faster since we'd already seen a lot of the sights along the way. Although this time, we did stop at a few extra places too. One was this underground cave that was huuuuge inside! The rock formations looked like frozen waves or weird alien shapes. Another really cool stop was a meteor crater site where a gigantic space rock had crashed into the earth long agoFinally, we rolled back into our driveway after almost a month away from home. I could barely keep my eyes open I was so tired from the drive. But I篇6My Awesome School YearHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm a 4th grader at Sunshine Elementary School. This has been such an exciting year for me and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started last summer when my parents told me we were moving to a new town. I was really sad to leave my old friends behind, but they promised the new school would be great. On the first day, I was pretty nervous walking into my new classroom. But my teacher, Mrs. Johnson, had a big smile on her face and made me feel welcome right away.In my old school, the classrooms were kind of boring with just desks and chalkboards. But Mrs. Johnson's room was so cool! There were beanbags in the reading corner, lots of colorful posters on the walls, and even a pet guinea pig named Nibbles. From that first day, I knew this was going to be a fun year. One of my favorite parts of 4th grade has been all the awesome field trips we took. In September, we went to the science museum and got to do all kinds of hands-on experiments. I made a little rocket out of a plastic bottle and pumped air into it until it took off! We also visited the artmuseum and learned about different painting styles. I tried making my own abstract artwork with lots of bright colors and swiggly lines. In October, we took a trip to an apple orchard and picked bushels of crispy red apples right off the trees. We even got to go on a hay ride and drink fresh apple cider. Yum! Later that month, we learned about fire safety when some real firefighters came to our school. They showed us their truck and all the cool equipment they use to rescue people. And we even got to try on their heavy jackets and helmets! My favorite field trip, though, had to be in November when we went to the theater and saw a musical performance of The Wizard of Oz. The actors and set designs were just amazing. I'll never forget when the Wicked Witch came out breathing fire and smoke! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.Aside from field trips, we've learned so many fascinating things in class too. In science, we raised our own butterflies from little caterpillar eggs and watched their full life cycle. We also built simple machines like levers and pulleys to see how they make work easier. My favorite was making a little car powered just by a rubber band!In math, we learned about fractions by cutting up pizzas and pies into different slices. We evenmade our own pretend restaurant one day and had to calculate everyone's bills. Social studies was awesome when we did a whole unit on world explorers. We even had to plan our own "exploration" by making maps and packing pretend supplies. This year hasn't just been all work though - we've had a lot of fun too! One of my best memories was our awesome Winter Ball dance in December. We got to dressup in fancy outfits and dance to cool music spun by a real DJ. Another highlight was the School Carnival in April, where we played games and won prizes.I finally mastered the tricky ring toss!I've also made so many great new friends this year. We've had sleepovers, played sports together at recess, and even put on silly talent shows for our families. My best friend Jack and I have become inseparable. We both love reading comic books and playing video games. I'll really miss him over summer vacation!Well, I guess that's a wrap on my 4th grade experiences! This has been an unforgettable year of growth, discovery, and laughter. While I'm definitely ready for summer break, I'll miss this place and all the amazing friends I've made. Thanks,Sunshine Elementary, for showingme that school doesn't have to be boring - it can be thebest adventure ever! I've grown so much, not just in my brain but as a person too. I can't wait to return for 5th grade and see what other incredible journeys await.。
作文篇(卷一)【写作的重要性】No body could deny that writing is one of the basic abilities for men. Put it another way, it is unlikely to imagine human civilization without writing ability. At the top of the list, if we overlook the significance of writing ability, we will suffer a great difficulty in ourdaily written communication. In addition to what has been mentioned above, it is advisable for us to attach importance to this ability because writing plays a key in our academic performance. To summarize, writing does carry a positive implication for our life and study. In view of the great value of writing ability, we should take actions to develop this capability. For my part, initially, we are supposed to keep in mind that reading is the first step of writing, so we should read great booksas many as possible, learning from the great works how to write concisely and effectively. Moreover, owing tothe fact that practice makes perfect, we should frequently practice writing; for example, we may develop thehabit of keeping a diary.没有人能否认,写作是人类的基本能力之一。
