简体字是今天全球汉字应用的主流，也是汉字的现代规范写法。

这些变化之中，不变的是汉字本身。

如今，虽然汉字的普及程度，即识字率比过去任何一个时代都大有提高，但我们对汉字的使用情况却大不如前，胡乱书写、使用汉字的状况层出不穷，更别提遣词造句的水平。

比如微博，不过一百多字，但这一百多字却缺乏美感，乏味、单调，常出现成语使用不当、错别字等现象。
